Ducks Youth and 2 Milestones:My Thoughs

Few weeks ago Ducks played their 2000th game and 1000th Home game 2 Milestones in November lead  me to reflect how far our team has come and games we have experience be it Live at Ponda or watching it on TV or Listening on Internet Radio via AM830....I can't help but look back. We have witness and see Wins and Loss,Highs and Lows...Good,Bad and Ugly. We have seen it all with the Ducks over the 2000 games and 1000 games at Ponda. So many memories so many games and players we have seen grow to make their mark. We celebrate each,Criticize each loss and yet all of us are still with Ducks.

I ponder what lay ahead for Ducks as we enter Month of December. Looking at the Roster I am hopeful and Optimistic as always but cautions...Amount of Youth within Ducks Rank-and-File has me eager to see this team be restored to Greatness through Rebuilding and Rejuvenation. I can help but smile seeing the ages of Ducks on the Roster..Troy Terry,Sam Steel,Max Jones,Jacob Larsson and others. Most where not even born when Ducks were Founded.

Many Ducks Fans I know be it Ducks Message Board,Facebook,Twitter and elsewhere have patience tested often it hits it limits. I will not get into details but all have Expectations that are real,High and often negative....This is what i call expressing hope. See we are all Ducks Fans and accusing each other of not being a "Ducks Fan" is absurd. You see Rebuilding which Ducks are in should not be look it with Fear,Dread or misery.....This sort of thing is a Process all NHL,MLB,NBA,NFL and sports teams worldwide face.

Even though they are not where they are in Pacific Division does not mean they are a Joke or Worst team. Keep in mind in Ducks History and previous season they are a strong 2nd half team and with 3 months to go in 19-20 season I am interested to see where Ducks will Finish...Team is Good BUT they are not worst.....They 26th edition of the Ducks have a Potential to be GREAT!.

Anaheim Ducks 2019-2020 season: Rejuvenation,Reinvigorate and Restoration

So it Begins....Roster is now finalized,Gathering of the Ducks aka Training Camp is done. Tomorrow begins our Ducks 26th NHL season. As Ducks turn the page and look forward to the future we must expect to see some turbulence and some roadblocks once Puck Drops on Thursday. Ducks we know are going through Rejuvenation,Reinvigorate and Restoration...Put it bluntly they are rebuilding. Ducks and Ducks fans are mere Hours away from Ducks to be launched and Hit the ground running. No Surprise looking at the Roster 6 of Ducks Youth have earn their spot on Opening Night. Max Comtois,Sam Steel,Max Jones,Troy Terry,Isac Lunderstrom and Jacob Larsson will be given a chance to prove themselves for this season.

26th Edition of Ducks In my Personal Opinion is good....BUT they have potential...Opportunity and choice to be GREAT. We are not surprise by Returnees they like all of us hope for redemption in 19-20 season. Much can be said about 25th Anniversary in my eyes and Soul Previous season was Tough reminder to the Ducks and all Ducks Fans that NOTHING is easy when it comes to Quest for the Stanley Cup.

I can tell you this I believe and I firmly Believe this team has element of surprise on their side...Hockey Pundits and magazines have predicted we will miss the Playoffs. Well I call BS on it....For Ducks History shows our team each season defies the odds...sometimes they succeed other times they fall short.  Nothing will bring great joy in Ducks Win and Bigger joy and happiness in Ducks winning it all. This season will be quest for the Stanley Cup but it will come with alot adversity considering many in Ducks Fandom believe we will fall short...Which is understandable. I have to say this Let us wait and see....Who knows Ducks will surprise even us and be the team we know can comeback and Lay a BEATDOWN on our Rivals and Enemies.

Let us countdown each hour and know Ducks path is clear and they are by 3R's: Rejuvenation,Reinvigorate and Restoration.

Ducks Training Camp:Reason for Optimism

15 Days from now and one week to go, counting down to Ducks 26th NHL Season. I am hopeful once the Puck Drop on Oct3rd we see New Edition of the Ducks be active,Consistent and full of Energy....Last night Ducks come from behind Win after being down by 2 Goals... Yet we must not get overexcited or stress out on these preseason games...They are imho Phase 2 of Ducks Training Camp aka Gathering of the Ducks...I call it Test and Trials for Ducks Coaching Staff cause if you ask me Preseason is meaningless and part of Training Camp. Players I see from Returning Vets to New Players signed via Free Agency right down to Ducks Youth ready to earn their keep.

 What I expect and I know most of you do is Ducks Prospects especially the Young Guns to earn their spot in Ducks Roster....Coming days will show us who will make it and who will be sent to San Diego...It's safe to say we will see Comotis,Jones,Steel,Sherwood,Terry and Larsson will appear on Opening Night...To me we are seeing injection of New Blood and infusion of Youth that can awaken Fighting spirit in the team. Path forward is unknown and we should not FEAR it or assume the worst....Previous years and Season our Ducks and Ducks fans alike including myself face the Unknown....we read the statements of some of the Ducks including Jakob Silfverberg "I really think we can surprise alot of People". It says to me and all Ducks Fans that 30 NHL Teams may underestimate us....IF so it could be our advantage once Puck Drops.

I believe in my Heart that our team...Our Ducks can once again surprise and defie the Odds as they did many times before...They can and will Do it again!.

T-minus 41 Days Season Opener:Redemption,Restoration and Rebuild

There is no Doubt going forward for all Ducks Fans our team is going with Full youth movement. No Surprise should be given on Ducks Free agent signings are merely to strengthen the depth from Forwards and Defence to Goaltending. Clearly as each day pass by Ducks are slowly getting ready for upcoming 19-20 season. This season will be one of 3 Rs....Redemption,Restoration and Rebuild. Need is injection of Youth will give our Ducks a Boost and sense of Purpose. Gone Are the days of doubt and now we look forward to what Ducks Youth should bring to our team. Putting aside frustration,debates and concerns we have Ducks have from the looks of it Team mixed with 3 ingredients...Youth,Experience and Speed. With Ducks Coach Dallas Eakins at the helm it's obvious to understand why he would like to have his own players from San Diego suit up for the Ducks once the "Gathering of the Ducks" aka Ducks Training Camp begins Next Move.

Look at Players we see and talk about that may earn a spot on Ducks Roster...Comotis,Steel,Jones,Mahura,Sherwood and Larrsson to Lundestrom and Terry. some of them will be part of the Ducks Restoration as we look to regain our honor and Honor of this team. What I expect and Hope is Players we see will earn not only Spot but make their mark on Ducks. Turning the Page with Perry departing to Dallas will be Tough......Looking at the Roster I feel this team will be fine. 

I do not feel this team is worst our Ducks had in 25th Anniversary season...To me Injuries,Stubborn Coach and growing disconnect lead to the team falling Short. 41 Days is long wait but worth it Having the Youth in Ducks Rank-a-File can rejuvenate the team and Light the Spark that can lead our team to be Consistent.Ruthless Aggression is needed due in part of it's lacking last year...I wonder IF Bob Murray is going to try for another trade or signing....pursuing Shatterkirk was fail but at least he tried. Who knows perhaps Bob will surprise but as we countdown Ducks Roster seem abit off....IF this is the Roster Bob wants HE should be held accountable. For now We wait.

Anaheim Ducks Youth Movement 19-20:Risky or Worth it?

Recent signings over the past few weeks since July 1st is no surprise. What I am seeing and others within Ducks Fanbase is ensuring not only Ducks Youth movement,when Puck Drop on Oct3rd will be revealed once Ducks 26th edition is assembled and ready. We know this team is trying not to repeat the mistakes that doomed and weaken us in previous season. Hiring Dallas Eakins was a Plus as was getting Kevin Dineen named Head Coach of San Diego was vital move. Signings we see in Chris Wideman,Andreas Martinsen,Jani Hakanpaa,Andrew Poturalski,Blake Pietila and Trade of Nicolas Deslauriers and Return of Mike Del Zotto has lead me to understand clearly...Ducks are intent to go Full Youth Movement...Necessary but a gamble in Ducks strategy of Revitalize,Revival and Rebuild. Many speculate on how this roster will look like and what Ducks can do from here on end till the Gathering of Ducks(Training Camp) in Sept.

One thing is certain expect many of the Young Guns from Maxime Comtios,Max Jones,Sam Steel,Josh Mahura,Troy Terry and few others compete and maybe earn their spot in Ducks Lineup. What Matters is simple Ducks Cause must be rejuvenated in New Blood being able to hone their skills and knowing well some of them have played for Dallas when he was Coache in San Diego makes me wonder we may see Ducks Team coming out not only with energy but Aggression of Speed,Offense and hopefully Relentless Hunger to set things right. One thing I wonder as we count down those days and weeks till Puck Drop.

Will it be Risky or Worth it?.....We will know for sure when Ducks are assemble come Oct.

Our Anaheim Ducks:Moving Forward in Draft and Free Agency

Past few Days we see changes.....Changes our Ducks have made in order for our team to Bounce back. After a disappointing and at times dismal season that was 25th Anniversary season. Ducks knew especially those in management knew full too well something like this must Never EVER happen again. First priority was to find 9th...I mean 10th Ducks Head Coach in Team History. Ducks hired Dallas Eakins from San Diego Gulls to be 10th Head Coach...Unofficial Dallas would be the 9th due in part previous Ducks Head Coach Randy Carlyle serve 2 Tenures with the team. It was expected to see Ducks hire within Jun 17th 2019 Ducks made it Official after a long and "Interesting" Interviews they started with. Marking 2nd time our team has look within Farm team to promote someone who has groom and developed next generation of Ducks and future of the team. 1st was in 2002 when then-Mighty Ducks took a chance on Mike Babcock coaching Cincinnati Mighty Ducks who was a Farm team back in "Mighty Ducks" Era. To me hiring Eakins was symbolic gesture in our Ducks will continue not only "Develop within" but look towards Next Generation in guiding the Ducks towards Regaining the Stanley Cup. This implies Ducks will be leaning on their youth like Comotis,Steel,Jones and few others to lead the way.

2nd Priority Ducks made was Buying out Corey Perry. Perry a Long time Duck along with Getzlaf known fondly as the Twins. Both drafted by Mighty Ducks/Anaheim Ducks spent 14 seasons with the team had difficult time contributing to the team due in part in injuries and decline in Stats in past few years. I along with many was hoping Perry would be given a chance to prove himself once again when Puck Drop on Oct3rd...Ducks allow Selanne to Prove himself after a injury, yet it's clear Both our Ducks and Perry decided to Part ways and move on. Once news broke out on TSN,OCregister and in social media there was mix of Sadness,Disappointment and understanding. The Ducks know for this team to move forward tough decisions had to be made and  Buying out Perry was one. Even though I would prefer Ducks trading him to get some important Assets be it Picks/Prospect and players in return.

Once both Priorties were done we had glimpse of the Ducks drafting good players in restocking the positions in need. This year's Ducks Draft Class saw the team select 3 Forwards 4 Defencemen.....total of 7 players. Out of the 7 Trevor Zegras and Henry Thrun play on USA NTDP a team that has seen a large number of it's players drafted. It tells me very well we see Revitalization of youth in selecting those 2 along with 5 other players who are maybe play a part in Ducks Future.

I firmly believe drafting a Center was due in part status of Ryan Kesler who will be on LTIR and replenishing the Ducks Defence Corps was to ensure Blue line does not become weaken.

Finally It comes not surprise Ducks patience was apparent when July 1st came around. Signing only Depth players be it Center Andrew Poturalski and Left Wing Blake Pietlia....or Trade for 4th Liner in Nick Deslauiers.

All in all Ducks moving forward and moves they make are justified...yet we should not panic...Ducks History has shown everytime our team falls short they bounce back and again show us that with each day pass this team we see will be assembled once the Gathering of the Ducks aka Training Camp begins.....Far as I a Diehard Ducks Fan concern....I am FIRED UP for what Ducks Future Holds.

June 6th 2007:12 years Later...Look Back

Every Day,Year,Month and Week goes by....I think back to that moment. Jun 6th 2007 we all remember that day all of us Ducks Fans from Orange County California to Nova Scotia,East Coast USA ,Sweden,Russia, Japan and Finland world wide. We Remember the Elation,Joy,Happiness and Perseverance....After all those years I remember as all Ducks Fans do. Struggles,Name calling,Jokes and trolling of other Hockey fans. 14 years of overcoming the odds and believing in this team came to this day.....THIS Special Day as I call it "Day of Great Victory". Every Ducks Fan who attended it live at the Ponda...Watch on TV,Radio,Internet Radio or watch it Live stream knows where they were when the final Buzzer sound and it was over and Official 2007 Stanley Cup Anaheim Ducks was music my ears that night.

Looking back soaking it all in and knowing this was really happening. I know,Ducks Fans know things will change...we will change,our Ducks will change. Everything changed that day. No Longer Ducks will be the butt of jokes,Insults and ridicule. No Longer Ducks Fans will be laughed,insulted and talked down to. Ducks and Ducks Fans have come of age that day and seeing Then-Ducks Captain Scott Niedermayer raised it in Air was something....Emotional for me a Guy from far flung East Province where city I am from has some Ducks Connection to Halifax Mooseheads(Giguere,Dipenta,Chouinard).

Seeing Ducks Legend Teemu Selanne hoist the Stanley Cup to roar of approval of Ducks Ponda Faithful brought a tear to my eye...each one from Chris Pronger,Parros,Marchant,AndyMac,Bryzgalov,Jackman,Pahlsson,Moen,Penner,Getzlaf,Perry,Joe Dipenta,Drew Miller,Ryan Carter,Ryan Shannon and few others most important moment was Scott handing the Stanley Cup to his brother and Giguere raising the Stanley Cup not to mention holding his Son in picture that will live on in memory and all time. Seeing Giguere come from along way from Mooseheads Goalie to Stanley Cup Champion with the Ducks  made me smile. This team and way they dominated and smash through 2007 Stanley Cup Playoffs becoming first California team to win it all was something that smiled from Ear to Ear.

 Ducks winning the Stanley Cup in their 14 year in NHL was result of Youth,Aggression and experience that allow them to Pulverize,Smash and withstood any opposition that tried to stand in their way of Destiny and showing no mercy to their enemies was highlight in those days from late April,month of May and early June. Truly it was gratifying and was worth cheering,Supporting and believing that YES they can win the Stanley Cup. I was skeptical of The Hockey News "Prediction" I never like Predictions always felt that it was killjoy.......But all came down to that moment.

As we remember the Players and moment Ducks winning Stanley Cup. Let's not assume and be in despair our team may not win another Stanley Cup...12 years ago they prove they can win it all and with right Coach,Trades and FA Signings I believe they can do it again. It's Not matter of how "Long" its a Matter of "When". Also What made it special to me I was able to get all Autographs of Ducks Players few months prior.....that Day and the year I will never forget it will be Highlight of my life....Memory,Legacy of that moment...our Ducks Moment will be with us forever.

Ducks Final Week of 18-19 season:My Thoughs and Words!

Path our Ducks have has been set as we speak,only 3 games left and week to go before Ducks 25th Anniversary season comes to a close and put aside in our history. It's best we look forward and see What needs to be done as Offseason begins this early for the Ducks...first time in 6 years they will have top ten Draft Pick in this Year's Draft. Much can said whether Ducks should lose last remaining games of their 2018-2019 season...their 25th in their Existence. Or Finish the season strong.

Much can be said bout the benefits  of "Tanking" for me I will say it now and clearly....Tanking to get higher Pick is STUPID. This Lose for Hughes,Kakko or whoever will not do our Ducks Good...Just don't see this team will get Higher Draft Pick as in Number 1 Overall due in part to other teams that are "Tanking" But Falling apart as well. Look I know you all either read and know me as I know Ducks Fans from Ducks Message Board to Facebook and Beyond. Need is for the Ducks to Finish by willing last few games and end 25th Anniversary on Positive Note.

Yes I know this season did not go as we expect. Was this the Worst season our Ducks have endure...YES. We never would expect the team to Have difficulties trying to reach towards a Goal We as Ducks Fans expect them to reach.

We can debate on whether this team is the worst or 2nd worst...One thing is imho noted Ducks have been plagued by Injuries that have landed our team to where they are now....All in All it's a Big Bump in the road...Setback But like all Bumps and Falls..Ducks will get back up....Tonite is last game vs Greasers and final 2 on the final week of NHL Season. Let's look forward and enjoy these games Win or Lose forever We are ANAHEIM DUCKS Fans!

Ducks 2nd Half Debacle:My Thoughs.

First it was 12 game losing streak...New Low many of us never hope or wanted to happen,2nd it was kneejerk trades from Cogs dealt to Dallas to Aberg Dealt to Minnesota and now with RC Fired and Ticket Prices increased.....I do believe that we see is insult to intelligence of all Ducks Fans...Serious of miscommunications,Lack of Understanding and Ducks Losing Streak has soured and demoralize our team,Fanbase and Ducks Fans alike in season we celebrate 25 years of Ducks Hockey. When Carlyle was re-hired I gave him a benefit of a doubt...Hoping he would change or perhaps adapt to today's era.....It was imho a Minor retool which worked for the Ducks in breaking that 4 year game 7 Losing Streak and reaching NHL Western Conference Final for 5th time  in team History...Sadly they lost against Nashville in 2017 NHL Western Conference Final. Year Later Ducks suffer a Big Setback....losing 4-0 to San Jose...3rd time they have been swept by a Rival/Enemy.

Rehiring Carlyle back was not only mistake but kneejerk reaction from Bob Murray hoping the Ducks would be as he said "Held Accountable" But it's becoming clear to me that Bob was feeling the heat from the Owners wanted to make amend with his Buddy.......and it has cost our Ducks dearly in the year and season we celebrate 25 years Ducks lack of effort/Defensive Breakdowns and sitting back under Carlyle's 2nd Coaching tenure has lead to disastrous,Disappointing and shameful results.

Stats don't lie and neither is seeing how they hold onto a lead then let it fall. Sports media in both USA and Canada has asked WHY Carlyle was not fired....after that Implosion in January. One sees that accountability lay at the feet of Bob Murray and also the Owners who's hand's off  Naive Style of Managment has lead to a Mess,Debacle and fisaco.

Bad Effort Ducks are in last place and are salvage this season but it stings Ticket Prices are increasing....on the months Ducks are Losing games and apparent a rift is growing between Players and the Coach. I am pleased Samuelis address the issue but they should have been more active in the Ducks Day-To-Day working...It may do them good. For now Priority shall no longer be Ducks Making the Playoffs need is....to 1.Salvage this season 2.undo THIS MESS.

Ducks 10 Game Losing Streak:Shameful Display and Dishonor

Frustration,Anger,Surprise and Why. No Answers can explain what we see in this Month of January. Losing 8 games was tough 14 years ago....seeing it broke and go on not 9 but TEN Games has been Disgraceful,Embarrassing and Utterly miserable. How can This Team...OUR DUCKS can fight for a Playoff spot and go deep. HOW they can win a game IF YOU rely so heavily on the Goalie. YOU CANNOT win if you score 3 goals and sit back......All Ducks Fans including myself are upset,Furious and downright demand the need for Some accountability...Not just the Coaching Staff, Players themselves.

One thing I never could understand is WHY in BLUE HELL this team does not Score First,Shoot More or be Active. Stats looking at now makes me Shake My Head. Many have written this season off...while others like myself remain Hopeful. IF our Ducks are to honor the past and 25th Anniversary season...Snapping this Losing Skid longest in Ducks History is Priority 1...Priority 2 is to make the Playoffs and be Consistent. Imho I rather want our Ducks to Go out Fighting and Make the Stanley Cup Playoffs...then as others suggest TANK it

But first thing is First team needs to go back to what makes them who they are in the First Place. This "New" Strategy Ducks Coaching Staff including RC has installed is by far NOT working and has cause ALOT of inconsistencies...Top it off with the Injuries this team has endure. Being something one is not does not make a team who's character is by far Ducks Hockey a identity we know and love not great way to honor the Past.

I myself do feel Ducks will make it to the Playoffs and it will be Wildcard Spot...IF not it is the Right of ALL DUCKS Fans to ask and demand Resignation of Randy Carlyle. From here going forward IF inconsistencies continue Coaching Change but a ROSTER SHAKEUP is needed ASAP.

Ducks Surging and setbacks:My Thoughs

Hello everyone I hope you all enjoy a Great Merry Christmas and ready to ring in the New Year tomorrow. As our Ducks approach the midway point of the 25th Anniversary Season.....I understand frustrations and concerns surrounding our team.  December saw our Ducks Surge for abit...then suffering setback with 5 game losing skid which many including myself hope it would not be. I was hoping Ducks can make strong Finnish in December continuing with momentum they build early of this month. It seems Ducks put together a modest 6-4-1 record 13pts so far. So-So record despite the fact  Dogfight in Pacific Division with our rivals and enemies.Ducks  are 1st in NHL West Wildcard Spot and  4pts out of 3rd place and 6 pts out of first...Anything and I MEAN anything can happen from January to end of the season. 5 Game losing Skid is and SHOULD not be a signal to just GIVE UP. This is Letdown a bump in the road, We expected ALOT from this team since depth has to step up once more for 2nd straight season.

As 25th Anniversary Season Approaches halfway point. Our Anaheim Ducks and Ducks Fans know VERY WELL. From here till the end of season it's all or Nothing. Sure Ducks do not have their important players from their core group in the Lineup...That does not mean "They Suck". Ducks History has shown. when Ducks are at the halfway point they make 2nd half charge towards the Postseason. Whether it happens or not remains to be seen....Much can be debate on which player is "The Worst" but we CANNOT and should not fall into Despair or give up. Those who see Ducks in "Slow Rebuild" or believe Ducks should be better off "Not making the Playoffs" I respect your opinion and views...All Ducks Fans regardless from Orange County California to Finland right back to Canada we agree to disagree. Whether or Ducks Win or Lose one thing we know....This team can Rise up and Win...Need is and always is Consistency from here till END of this season. 2nd half Charge will be something we know Ducks are Capable of and Hopefully can this when New Year  Rings in.

Tomorrow is Final game of 2018 of our Team's 25th Anniversary season I hope as we all Do Ducks Finish this year with BIG WIN...It must be done and SHOULD BE DONE... 60 mins full. Nothing would make all of us smile then our Ducks Win BIG vs Tampa.

Ducks Long overdue for ShakeUp:Coach,GM and some Players.

Like Most of you I am deeply frustrated with how this team has been inconsistent be it strategy or stop playing halfway through a game if leading by 2 or 3 goals. Ducks at 8-9-5 21pts is disappointed yet modest. OT Loss after leading 3-1 loss night has many in Ducks Fandom from Message Board to Facebook,Twitter and Instagram demand change...asking for and wanting Randy Carlyle to be removed and have new Coach to be installed. Also need for new Players to be injected in order to have Ducks be stabilized due in part of missing few key players as Injury Bug takes it toll on our team. It's my honest opinion that Carlyle needs to be removed from Coaching position. It's view and I stick by it reason is Ducks being out-shot many times in past few games Not able to have a lead but unable to score is really making many of us wonder is it time for the Ducks to  Trade for help. Signings of Schenn and Sustr has been failure, both did alright but did not imho did not do a whole lot during their short tenure with the Ducks. Both D-men are now with the Gulls after Clearing Waivers.

Let us Hope for the Ducks Front Office especially Bob Murray he does the right thing...Fire Randy Carlyle and pull the trigger on a Trade. For the Ducks to overcome adversity they need to score first and set the Tone. Yet it seems old habits don't fade away which leads to our need to hold Ducks Coach,GM and some Players accountable. I am for a shakeup be it Firing of the Coach and a trade that can vitalize our Ducks not just this season but Years to come.

Ducks after 11games:Still Early yet Frustrations.

Frustration,annoyance....and of course expectations of something different. What can you expect when our team in past have been through slow starts before. Most of you like myself should not surprise yet we  have hopes things change....However while I was watching the game. I wonder whether or not IF strategy Ducks "Suppose" to  us has failed. There is nothing I hate the most is Losing but I really am annoyed at Ducks being outshot in the 11 games thus far. Giving us this result. Much as we are use to this it lead taste of dissatisfaction for all. Going from 5-1-1 which imho was something to good to bad on to where we are now is shameful and unacceptable.

After Ducks loss result in a Slump some panic while others freak out. I know the feeling and i know many of you are uncertain "How will Ducks over come this" that is what many have said but always I say this honestly...It is early in the season and the time to Panic should not be in our minds. Yes We are in losing slump and YES Ducks need to work out a Few things. Special teams both PowerPlay and Penalty Killing has to improve. PP rank 20th and PK ranked 14th is imho not good...NOT GOOD enough to ensure our Ducks Dominate our rivals and enemies at this stage of 25th Anniversary Season.

Now Much can said about what our Ducks need to do. Should we fire RC?,Demand Ducks trade this player and that. One thing I think many who has follow and supported Ducks since Day1....It's M.O of the Ducks they are slow starters. Frustrating can sum up our feelings...But we Ducks Fans Annoyed at the fact Ducks being outshot in Big Numbers is DEEP CONCERN. No excuses or complaints can explain why this team is where they are now. Far as I am concern the season is still young and for the Ducks turn things around they Need NO MUST set the Tone and START adapting.

First things First is they need to score the first goal and the 2nd and 3rd and Go for the Kill. Not this notion of scoring 2 goals and sit back. Trust me we have seen it before with Ducks rely on previous Ducks Number 1 Goalies. 2nd Hold the Line and support the Goalie...LAST I CHECK Gibson is not Giguere and strategies need to be adapted cause this supposed "New" Strategy looks like a page out of 2002 Ducks.

Final 2 games are at home.....Our Anaheim Ducks with Injury Bug still around and recalling up Larsson and Welinski. They need is to Snap this losing slump and get back into the FIGHT. Remember clearly and well. each season Ducks face adversity and No one should assume it would be Easy. No more No less.

Ducks at 25:25th Anniversary and Stanley Cup Quest

1 Day from now...ONE DAY and it begins again, not only Ducks Quest for the Stanley Starts tommorow but 25th Anniversary a Historic and Symbolic moment of our Ducks start this week on Wednesday Oct3rd.........25 Years,25 seasons of Ducks Hockey. So Many memories,Moments and Historic accomplisments,Accolades we all have witness that lives in our souls forever. 25th edition of our Ducks that will be assemble is mix of Youth,experince with abit of aggression and injection of speed. We have witness Highs and lows,Good and Bad,Great Wins and Terrible losses. But as each year/season goes on we are all Ducks fan.

No Matter what happens from here till season's end, The Ducks in honoring the past must do whatever takes to not only restore honor to the Ducks but enhance the presitge and glory of Ducks unique history....Which means defying the odds once more. Injury bug shows up again they must Set the Tone,Go for the Kill and UNLEASH FURY,HELL AND the Might of Ducks Collective Will upon Enemies,rivals and naysayers that STAND in the way of our team and Ducks Fans alike.

For all Ducks Fans we know what this season will mean...Honoring the past Ducks must seek not out Redemption and VENGANCE. They must not rest and sitback. ONLY WAY from cleansing the First Round loss is to Dominate San Jose leave a Path of DESTRUCTION.

As of now we await and Countdown.......What I expect and we all know is Ducks to be ready to be UNLEASHED upon the NHL....NO more NO LESS. Reclaiming the Stanley Cup is Number1 Goal and Honor the Past and 25 years by Dominating everyone is Icing and spells Eternal Glory for us all. ANAHEIM DUCKS 4EVER.

Gathering of the Ducks 2018:Speed and Health

We are 7 days into Ducks Training Camp, so far I am pleased to see players from John Gibson,Adam Henrique,Ryan Getzlaf,Corey Perry and few others have appeared at this yearly Gathering....Ducks along with all Ducks Fans I know are itching for the Puck to Drop and Redemption to begin for 25th Anniversary season. Watching some of the Clips reading from those who attended the Training Camp scrimmages to Preseason games they completed. What I see is Ducks assembling a team that will be experince with abit of youthful injection of speed,Readiness and Fighting Spirit to finish our enemies in each game we face them night in and night out.

Now I know all of us understand that Kesler may or may not be ready and the chance we see a Young Duck be able to earn a spot on the roster is possible. I like the fact we have Sam Steel,Kevin Roy,Chase De Leo,Troy Terry,Marcus Pettersson and few others who could possible be a key to the Ducks success in their quest to reclaim the Stanley Cup. IF the Speed factor can kick in once the Puck Drop...our Ducks can hit the ground running....Set the Tone by imposing their will from day 1. It's not wishful thinking more like expectations we want in advancing the "Ducks Cause". Speed and will give us equal advantage against our enemies and rivals on the ice. That is something lacking in 17-18 season.

Health is a key....Injuries our Ducks faced in first 3 months of our 17-18 campagain put us into a disadvantage. Kesler,Getzlaf,Perry,Eaves and Fowler with Gibson faced injuries be it long term or short...all in all Ducks had to literally fight their way into the Stanley Cup Postseason. Sadly they were unable to put up a fight when our Rival San Jose swept them in the First round. Much as we want them to succeed and win the Stanley Cup we must and know well that Health for the Ducks in important,vital and ABSOLUTE. IF entire roster can be able to ensure they can withstand any onslaught endure the injuries maybe what happen in season prior a Different outcome would be bestow our Ducks instead of the First Round Sweep that stings till this day.

These factors out...Speed and Health are Key to Ducks revival and redemption. As 25th Anniversary draws closer....We must not Panic and assume the Worst. Ducks know that for Bouncing back after rollercoaster season of 17-18....They must assemble 25th Edition that can have a mix of not only Speed and Health....But Youth,Experince and skill to overcome any obstacle No more........NO LESS.

30 Days till Ducks Hockey:Almost there

Within one month....Puck will drop and our Anaheim Ducks will assemble for historic and symbolic 25th Anniversary season. Summer has been a time of reflection and hopes we see few players left via Free agency and trade and New Players arrive with little or no fanfare. We know the taste of bitter defeat still stings after 4-0 shutout First Round loss to hated Rival that is San Jose. Yet  many of us debated,discuss and hope for some changes. Only Changs were depth signings and minor trades and assistant Coachs leaving or getting fired....typical Ducks M.O which should not surprise anyone.

For as one as many of us in Ducks Fandom have known our team has "Develop Within" and signings big Names and trading for Big Names is rare at these times. Counting Down I can't help but feel concern bout the predictions many Ducks fans have made...some suggust we will miss postseason, others beleive we will go all the way. Personally I do not feel it is right to make predications even though Ducks have not Gather at Training Camp and started the 25th Anniversary Campagin....However I respect their views and understand their opinions on the team.

First thing we know for the Ducks to succeed is Collective Will...a term I coin years ago. Ducks Roster must have all players be on the same page including Randy Carlyle. who must understand in order to win....Change must be embraced in the strategy. Second is Health....last season Ducks injuries took a toll on our team all of us don't know if our Ducks will make it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs or not. Health is a vital to Ducks for them to bounce back and it will be important. 3rd for this season everything matters.....games vs enemies,rivals and Opposition in NHL East including Stanley Cup Champ Washington. Honor in defying the odds of the sports pundits and Haters who feel we should not deserve a NHL Team.

30 Days is not long but Countdown Begins for our Ducks to not only be unleashed but VENGEANCE WILL BE upon those who cross us including San Jose.

Swedeheim:Ducks Swedish Infusion

One cannot deny that Fact Ducks drafting talent from Sweden has created infusion of talent into our team....Since 2011 Ducks drafting creates uptick of Swedes. Past 7 years They have selected Swedish Players Rakell(30th),Lindholm(6th),Karlsson(53rd),Friberg(143rd),Pettersson(38th), Olle Eriksson Ek(153rd) and Isac Lundstrom(23rd). out of the seven players 5 have suited up for the Ducks 2 remain as regulars while 3 played hockey elsewhere with last 2 develop their skills in Sweden.

Now for many of you know Ducks drafting Swedes and signing of them or Trading is nothing new. 25 years of our Mighty Ducks/Anaheim Ducks has shown number of players from Sweden who have contributed,suited up for the Ducks in previous seasons/years. From the Days of  Patrick Carnback,Fredrick Olausson and Niclas Havelid to Sammi Pahlsson,Viktor Fasth and Todays current corp of Swedish Players recent drafted by the Ducks. You can say that Sweden has contribute some players to the Ducks Cause as did their Neighours to the East.

Which is why the term "Swedeheim" was created, knowing the Team's preference for Swedes and recent players who have suited up for the Ducks since 2011.....You can say it's good they are doing this having some Swedes wearing the Ducks you can say is "Expanding influence" of Ducks Fandom to another Country...They have growing presence in USA,Finland,Canada and others..but for a country that has produce great players of NHL's Players make you think....IF our Team wins the Stanley Cup again. you can say it will be due to the Swedish contigent like Rakell,Lindholm who have starting to make some good contributions in past few years. So whatever will result of infusion will be...You can say the Patience can be payoff in meantime Let's appericate Ducks drafting of these good players....For now it's 43 DAYS till our Ducks are UNLEASHED!.

Anaheim Ducks 25th Anniversary Jeresy Reveal:My Thoughs and Understanding.

Alot can said about Ducks 25th Anniversary Jeresy.....On July 20th 2018. Our Anaheim Ducks unveiled 3rd Jersey celebrating 25years of Ducks Hockey....6th 3rd in Ducks History. The Uniform is symbolic in so many ways...From the seven Colors the Ducks have worn over 25 years...Purple,Jade,Silver,White,Anaheim Ducks Gold,Anaheim Ducks Orange and Ducks Black. All represent symbolic link between Ducks Past and Present...Connecting them for a Bright future ahead. What excites me with Happiness and Joy seeing return of Mighty Ducks Logo on the front...having Ducks D as 2ndery Logo on shoulders is pretty cool. Design looking at closely another symbolism is there seeing designs of not 1 not 2...but 4 Jeresy Designs(1.Orange Uniform,Original,Classic Look and 2nd alt) bringing them together to form this Interesting Uniform that stands out let alone it gives a nice retro look for all Ducks Fans to appericate,enjoy and love. Put it this way 25th Anniversary Jeresy show FIGHTING SPIRIT of Ducks Burning Brightly as the Sun...and resurrection of Mighty Ducks Logo itself.

My Personal View is I love this look and symbolic design it shows honoring Ducks Past and linking to the Present. That look imho is very unique and speaks well of Ducks History. Not to mention I am STOKED and FIRED UP for 25th Anniversay which is 2 Months away

But like all new Uniforms through not only Ducks History and Sports world I can understand criticism and dislike of it...One is due in part that Ducks 25th Anniversary Jeresy Looks very simliar our Rival San Jose's Uniform....Anothers is disapoint several feel including one has pointed out...Ducks Jeresy had "Too Much Colors" and Seem to look like a "Mesh of Designs". Yes Some Ducks Fans hate it with passion others Love it with a Passion....Clearly even though we differ on this Jeresy as we do....We agree to disagree on Ducks no matter if it's Players,Favorite Jeresy one like...etc. I understand that what unite is the Ducks and hopefully when Puck Drops and Ducks come together......We stand with them.

When we do we stand under Mighty Ducks/Anaheim Ducks emblem be it DucksMask Logo or Ducks ........For now and forever WE ARE ALL DUCKS FANS!.

Paul Kariya and Scott Niedermayer's Number retired:My Thoughs

We know it was about to happen....Long after when Teemu Selanne's Number Retired and both him and Kariya were honor being one of first 2 Ducks  for their Hall of Fame Induction. It was bound to happen.  6 Day ago on July 9th Ducks will raise Number 9 and 27 to rafters of Ponda to honor both Ducks Icons and Legends. One contributed first 9 years in putting our Ducks on the Hockey Map,Other contributed in Ducks Winning their First Stanley Cup 11 years ago.

Paul Kariya Drafted 4th overall in 1993 by then-Mighty Ducks made his mark from his dazzling speed to playmaking skills with Ducks Legend Teemu Selanne. Scoring 50 goals in 95-96 becoming first Duck to achieve that feat. He won Lady Byng twice in 1996,1997. Represented Mighty Ducks/Anaheim Ducks 7 times,Respresented Canada in Olympics 2002 winning Olympic Gold and World Championship in Italy 1994. He holds record for most points by a Ducks Left Wing in single Season 108. Most Assists in season 62 and most shorthanded points in Career...playing 606 games. Over the course of 9 years Kariya has scored 300goals, 369assists 669pts. One of the highlights of his tenure with the Ducks is Game 6 2003 Stanley Cup Final vs New Jeresy...PK was knocked out by a hit from Scott Stevens. I remeber that moment angry,concern and outrage......it send chills to see Karyia's visor fog up as if he ws risen and came back life. Escorted back to the Locker room for few mins only to return and later score the Goal...."Off the Floor! On the Board!".....those words live in all Ducks Fans from Orange County and worldwide who witness it be it Live or on TV. Another Moment I remeber well was Kariya racing down towards the Enemy's net vs Phoniex. With speed he nearly got the puck into the net only to be have it put in by Steve Rucchin.

Scott Niedermayer arrived to the Ducks on Aug6th 2005, if it were not for his brother Rob. Ducks would never have gotten signed by convinced to play for Ducks Cause. over the span of 371 games Scott Niedermayer who wore Ducks Captains  C with Honor,Pride and respect scored 60goals 204 assists with 264pts....He has won every major Hockey Championship in his career. Winning Stanley Cup,Olympic Gold Medal,Memorial Cup,World Hockey Championship,World Cup and World Junior Hockey title. His Contributions during Ducks 2006-2007 including late Tying Goal at 19:12 of 3rd period and GWG in OT Game5 vs Vancouver lead our Ducks to becoming first California team to Win the Stanley Cup. Also Became 2nd Duck to Win Conn Smythe as Stanley Cup Playoff MVP.

Both of these Players having their Numbers retired is  Symbolic Importance for all Ducks Fans and Ducks in General. It shows 1.Hockey is very sucessful in non tradtiona Market such as Orange County California producing great players who made their mark to the Ducks 2.Unique History of Ducks is pave with great peservance and possibilites....No9 and No27 being 2nd and 3rd Ducks Numbers to be raised to the Rafters is Testament to Ducks History,Ducks Fans and Ducks themselves for generations to come.

Both made their marks and in Alltime Career numbers as we reflect on their contributions to the team Let us always appericate them for allowing us to witness their efforts to the Ducks.

Recent Draft and Free Agent Signings:My Thoughs

Hello Again and hope you had a good day today....As you know NHL Draft and Free Agent Frenzy has passed and last couple of Days I have look over and imho pleased with seven players our Ducks have pick in NHL Draft...as for Free Agent signings I see it as a so-so due in part Ducks M.O has always been developing within and strengthen their Depth.

Seven Players where drafted by The Anaheim Ducks on June 22nd 2 were Centers and 2 Goalies addressing the needed issues on both Goaltending and Center areas that need to be injected in Depth Charts. Drafting Isac Lundestrom from Sweden who played 42 games with Lulea was a Good choice...It's no surprise however he is from Sweden since Ducks have drafted recent swedes like Rakell and Lindholm in recent Drafts. Drafting a Center fills the need to ensure Ducks Center Position would not be depleted in the coming years....Which of course lead me to smile on 2nd day when Ducks Draft from my Hometown B.O Grolux from Halifax Mooseheads. Now I will be honest I always wanted the Ducks to Draft a Moosehead sometimes to make up for the Flaws a Former Ducks Draft Pick Logan Macmillan 11 years ago. To me Ducks Drafting Bo was godsend and I personally beleive with the right development he can be major contributer to the Ducks Cause in the Future. 2 Goalies Ducks Drafted Lukas Dostal a Goalie from Czech Republic who playe for Trebic and Roman Durny a Slovakia who has been playing for Des Moines in USHL. Other Players selected were Hunter Drew Defencemen,Jackson Prebix Right Wing and Blake McLaughlin Left Wing....All in All after doing some research on the Stats of this New Generation of Ducks I was very Pleased with the selections not to mention i was not surprise Ducks selected a Swede. There imho it was a Good Draft.

However Free Agent Signings our Ducks have done this week is not surprising since their M.O has always been signing players to strengthen the Depth of our Team be it Right Wing,Center,Defence,Left Wing and Goaltending. Signing Luke Schenn is good since it gives the Ducks a Veteran Presence and hopefully someone to ensure Ducks Defence Corps would not be hamper by inconsistencies and injuries. I am alittle abit concern about the signings of Ben Street,Anton Rodin,Brian Gibbons  Jared Coreau and Carter Rowney....I am skeptical at these signings cause it seems to be they are to address the needs for the Ducks AHL Farm team in San Diego....To me personally it does not address need for speed Ducks in adapting to everchanging NHL....only factor I beleive address was need in putting together a 4th line. I am not considering a Great signing or one that is inspiring it's a typical signing to strengthen Ducks Depth....however it may play who knows...One thing I am sure is Ducks need something to spark this team and snap out of the daze.

So with the Draft and Free Agent Frenzy behind us all in all both events imho shows Ducks continue their Trend....of 1.Drafting some youth for the future and 2.Signing Depth to ensure Ducks Roster is stable going into the 25th Anniversay.......One thing that is missing is a Trade that can shock the system and jumpstart the team....11 years ago. Ducks Made a Big Splash in trading for Chris Pronger....Can they do it again we can only wait and see.
