Personal Thoughs as of now!

Tonite's Lost is frustrating let alone lack of urgency is starting to wear on patience since Ducks are approaching halfway mark of 10-11 season. It's becoming a deep concern of mine that Ducks maybe having a funk at this moment of of what is critical Roadtrip. 1-2 what can i say a Loss is a loss as much as a Win is a win. It's dishonorable at best in seeing this edition of the Ducks having the tools at their disposable not able to Use them is FRUSTRATING at best. No words to describe how i feel....eitherway four final road games of this year is not only Important but a MUST WIN as are rest for this season.

Halfway mark of 10-11 is only five games till New Year. 2 till Christmas Time If there is one wish I ask is some wins till Christmas Day...It's a Priority they snap out of this funk and Get back on the Winning Track.

Ducks 4th alternate Sweater and backing USA Junior Hockey team

Well what can i say but surprise at first but not surprise Ducks had the Ducks D as their primary Logo for their 4th 3rd Jeresy in their History. First off let me honestly speak on my thoughs on this new Jeresy. I am happy and pleased with the design it continues with the unique look it has on team's indentity and history. Love the colors and design not to mentionusing old Mighty Ducks Logo as shoulder patch symbolic link to heritage of the Ducks and Ducks Cause. When it comes to style of favorite Jeresys of all sports be it Hockey,Baseball,Football or NBA. Anaheim Ducks Sweaters imho are the best. And with Ducks D Jeresy sweater i give it two thumbs up as the best so far out of the four Ducks alternater sweaters over past 18 years.

However being 0-2 is really something i would not want to have if Ducks are wearing their new threads and losing to enemy that is Detroit and Stanley Cup Champs Chicago blackhawks. I am superstitous and i would love nothing more then a win out of these new uni's then of course i hope it does not hinder the team moving forward. When i am in Anaheim first thing i must do is buy one of Ducks current Alternate 3rd.


Another topic i like to discuss and that is my love of not only Ducks but Hockey itself. If there is one thing i appericate other then Ducks It's seeing their prospects excel and compete in the World Juniors. Be it Bobby Ryan some years back or watching Palmieri,Gardiner and of course future Duck Cam Fowler win Gold at World Junior Championships. I appericate seeing Hockey being enjoy not only by my nation but Americans,Finns and yes even Hong Kong. Let me speak honestly that right now this year's World Juniors I will be cheering for the USA Junior team for the World Junior Championships in a few weeks.

Now you ask why in the world would a typical canadian do this? Well for me Hockey is more then just Canada's Game. When Anaheim Ducks won Stanley Cup they had a mixture of Americans,Canadians and euros contributing to the team's first Stanley Cup. To take away what Marchant,Parros and some have done is foolish and insulting. For me personally not only it's great seeing the Ducks on USA but also knowing they are creating a legacy of success for a Nation that is growing to love a sport i have come to appericate over the years....THAT is what i am proud of to be canadian. Knowing my nation created the Greatest Team sport in all of the world nothing can take that away. I do admit there has been some within Canada who has this obnoxious arrogance that i find distasteful in regards to the sport.....What matters is respect and apperication nothing more nothing less.

Ducks Symbolism:4th Alternate Sweater.

Whether it be originals during the "Mighty" Era,3 previous Alternate sweaters in Ducks history our current ones be it rbk upgrades or Anaheim Ducks Sweaters in 06-07 Stanley Cup Championship year. One thing is certain is each of jersey sweaters are rich in symbolism in team's unique place in Orange County and Hockey world. Ducks D with Orange Stripe shows connection to our team's Home, breaking with tradition in regards to hockey uniform style as it's predecessor with downward stripe in "Mighty" Era. Ducks uni's over the years stuck out for many of us Ducks fans in style of Sweater and Ducks Logo. Be it Ducks Mask in middle of the two hockey sticks all the way to Ducks D with orange stripe below.

If there is one thing i point out it's number 3. If one looks at connections of 3point it shows a connection to Past and present. Ducks D with 3points at the end of footprint and 3 green triangles in old Ducks Logo shows that connection. Hockey sticks crossing together gives us nature of what makes our sport great as one of the greatest team sports in the world.....Orange Stripe as we know relates to Orange County where team is from and place that is imho best city witha diversre culture in Sports,Art and perhaps entertiament. Even though Ducks are in a funk i expect and hope their new alternate will be a hit with those in Ducks Nation.

I don't beleive in NHL Predictions

To me personally assuming the worst is like assuming one's end. To say our Ducks finish 11th even though season did not even started imho was insulting. Yet the need to be optimistic in times like 10-11 and others before is part of who Ducksfans are in standing out from other NHL Fans. Sure This team began with a funny name and unique Logo and Jeresy sweater.....But it did not stop them from going against all odds. Fighting,battling to bitter end each game,season till achiving greatness in winning Stanley Cup 3 years ago.

10-8-3 23pts at this critical moment of the season has lead to questions often they are not surprising but at times when a team does not perform to standards Ducks Nation*Ducksfans in O.C and elswhere* have it creates doubt. However to say Ducks will not make it is almost like saying All is lost in Football game even though the team has not won a superbowl or NCAA Championship. I know it's part of sports for pundits to make their "Predictions" To me assuming who will win and who will lose is abit arrogant nothing more.

Ducks Sucess:Road forward and reflecting

We must never take it for granted nor should we assume we are lucky. Then again there is not one group of Fans who have experince and witness Ducks historic Firsts from First game and Goal along with Win to First Stanley Cup Championship and Playoff win. There can be only one thing that brings up to describe us all it being we are Anaheim Ducks....Why one ask is simple we have experince witness history of our team evolved changed for the better. Be it during early years where Team fought tooth and nail for respect to dark days in lat 90's and early years of 21st century.....The more i see Ducks win more i know they are nearly turning it around this season.

So Far it seems good now Ducks on a 5 game winning streak has slowly close the gap with LA for first place in Pacific Divison. They have created their own luck by pulling off back to back wins against San Jose and Islanders. That is truly something to smile bout. Still there is work to be done in getting our team focusing on 60mins and not costing along by being laidback and having a slow start....Yes it's annoying but it's worth supporting them through the thick and thin. We should not forget many seasons Ducks turn it around and made Stanley Cup Playoffs....think back in 02-03,07-08....this team had slow starts it should be no excuse for many and others to throw in towel and give up.

I do not beleive for sec 10-11 will be long or let alone Ducks faltering every abit since Niedermayer is no longer on Blueline....However History of our team shows reslient nature this team has in past to not only steal some wins but battle back. Whether or not they succeed I beleive all of us in Ducks nation should back them 110%.

Ducks path to Victory

Nothing is easy for our Ducks then again it should never surprise any Ducks are having this slow start. This Dieh-hard Ducksfan is not surprise its annoying. It amazes fear can overwhelm Ducks Nation...but like the team they are Resilient. Like the adversity Ducks face in early years, of course the saying all roads lead to Stanley Cup goes through many of our enemies be it Detroit,LA,San Jose,Vancouver,Calgary,Edmonton,Phoniex and Dallas.

It's amazing what a Stanley Cup Championship can change Ducksfans in general,yet many of us should never take for granted path our team must take. Talentwise they have tools to set the tone but they must use it wisely to set things right. First 3 games they slumped,falter and questions were raised...Now 4-5-1 9pts it's good they are still in the fight. No matter how we see this one thing must never EVER cloud our judgement that is Ducks UNITED as they are must come together and overcome whatever that stands in their way..As saying goes Destiny Does not end with ONE Stanley Cup.

Every struggle has it's meaning

Losing is never fun which why I hate it and know Ducksfans do. Losing 3-1 to Blue Jackets is NOT a great way to start roadtrip or snap out of losing skid on the road. 2-4-1 is unacceptable but then again it never surprises me they are slow starters. But i am what i am when it comes to optimisim in Ducks be it this season or season's before. I don't view this season as lost nor should we but it test resolve of Ducksfans in regards to loss they see and questions that remain.

Supporting Ducks through these trying times is worth it. If one remebers the dark days they know what it means for team to struggle for respect,Honor and Pride...Dedication has meaning now for our team to strive for success. Losing on the road is never fun but the need to be sucessful is to win not at Home but Road as well. No matter what happens we remain Ducksfans and loyal to the Ducks Cause, right now what happens happens for reason. Yes blame goes around but our team must remain strong from here on end. October is never kind at times to our team....Those who say this is a long season i disagree. Those who say Ducks will have a Tough season i disagree. The way i view it is more of a wait and see Apporach no more no less.

Hockey is Everyone's Game

No matter where you are and what nation,Culture or place your from Hockey has spread everywhere in this world. Be it Canada,USA,Finland,Sweden,Russia or Hong Kong China itself....Hockey is one of best team sports in this world. Yes it is Canada's game but it makes me proud as a Ducksfan,Canadian and of Chinese Descent people in other parts of the world enjoy the game. Everytime i go to Orange County it's more then seeing Ducks prevail and Strike back at their rivals.....it means alot to see those enjoy the game i love and Team i followed as a Child. It's moment like these that i appericate has it's meaning so much to those in non-tradtional Market like Anaheim.....Another place that is non-tradtional Market is Hong Kong. A place of My family's orgins and home to my parents. During their retirment they visited a place that is a mall with a indoor skating rink often used as Hockey school set up a Rangers great....It's there they saw Hong Kong Chinese learning Basics and enjoying the game of Hockey. It was something they never though they see then again it was set up by a Canadian Hockey legend.

Even though many of us are seperated by culture,Orgins or whatever one thing we share is our Love of the game and Teams we follow Hockey is a game that is filled with scoring,skills,Hard-hits saves and ACTION. Does not matter if you are Canadian,American,Finn,Chinese,Japanese or Swede Hockey is a Unique to us all.

Ducks 17th season:My Expectations

Just 2 Days till Ducks Hockey begins....Quest for Stanley Cup will begin on a date marking 18 years ago this week Ducks played their first game against one of our enemeis........Detroit. Expectations i have read spell doom since most of the Pundits on TSN,ESPN,The Hockey News and others assume our Team will falter. It amazes me many Presume too much. But The Ducks should know as many Ducksfans as Myself know that flying under the radar is something they did it before. 7 years ago Ducks upsetted two Teams in 2003 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Their First year they record Most wins by a Expanison Team and they achieve their Destiny by winning their First Stanley Cup Championship.

Roadblocks along the way for Ducks 10-11 Season is paved with questions....How will Ducks Defence be without Niedermayer now?,Will Ducks young Guns Step up and contribute more? or How well will Ducks do with a Revamped Blueline?. So Many questions and yet expectations are mixed. Some assume the worst others for the best.....For me i know in my heart where i stand as do others themselves. My Expectations for 10-11 Ducks 17th edition thus far is simple

1.Bouncing back:Strong start and finish each game as if they are not only important but the is needed. Ducks started off this 3 years ago and they can do it again when United as One. 12-0-4 remains Ducks best start after 16 games plus having 16 points in 16 straight games was a historic milestone as well.

2.Never EVER underestimate Opposing team:Be it a Rival,Enemy,Bottom dwelling or a Top NHL Team in East or West Ducks should go in expecting a Fight for their lives. I know first hand seeing Ducks struggle early this year shook my resolve and others....Hopefully they learn well that no team spells a "Easy Win".

3.Total Dominance:If it's their rivals or enemies within NHL West i would love nothing more then Ducks manhandle them and leave them in the dust....Honor Demands they avenge loss to Yotes,LA and other teams it would be worth seeing Ducks go for the kill in games in Pacific Divison or NHL west.

With all said and done i must come clean and admit something to all. Seeing the Ducks lose in March of this year was hard to see, Let alone something to witness in my own eyes......Looking back i though They will just do well with only Nieds but i now feel that missing Prongs was major hit since i though others would step up to gain that edge. The lossess we felt was shock it tested our resolve and imho Ducks missing the Playoffs is a lesson learn in achieving Greatness. Sure 09-10 was disapointing But to those on Ducks Message Board I DO NOT consider it a failure.

More so whever there is a loss....it strengthens Ducks and Ducksfans alike The need to Bounce back and set things right is greater now then before. Players are hungry and they know 10-11 has alot at stake. It's foolish for those who assume Ducks will fail. Cause i would rather have them Battle to the Bitter end then have some Narrowminded Jackass from east coast say "I told you say". If Ducks pull it off Future can be bright and Honor will be restored.

Ducks Past present and Future

Whether it be now and then....through good and bad in regards to Ducks in general, our History and that of the team in Orange County should be look at with success let alone. Yes our Team is still young in Sports team years, but for past 18 years our team is unique in their own way.....by starting out with a interesting name,Different and new style of uni's from the status quo looks to holding record for most wins by a Expanison team. We should not forget the first game,First win First Goal,First Playoff Berth in April 1997 Let's not forget first Ducks scoring 50 Goals to Yes of course Stanley Cup Championship June 6th 2007.

I'll be honest with you i know some listen others don't....There are moments that live with you these 18years is etched in our Minds,Body and soul that remains forever with us. Ducks winning Stanley Cup,2 Western Conference Championships 1 Pacific Divison Title not to mention 7 Stanley Cup Playoff berths is something we should look with Pride,Honor and Grateful Appriecation....Will this team return to Greatness? i beleive so for now even though our team is three years remove from the Glory they tasted i beleive our Future is boundless.

When our Ducks won Stanley Cup it change everything not for worst but Better Ducksfans dream the possible Dream Know that endless possibilites now exist. We can have player to be on our team the try to imagine them in a Ducks uni. What matters is to Honor the Past Ducks must move with future no more no less.

Gathering of the Ducks

Today in Anahiem Ice from Training Camp to Pre-season Vets,Rookies,Prospects and players on a pro tryout gather for what is a important precursor to Ducks Hockey. Gathering of Ducks as i call it is symbolic for our team moving forward. Amidst retiring of Scott Niedermayer,signing of Sutton,Lydman and drafting Etem and Fowler truly what lay ahead for the Ducks is challenge to return back to greatness by reclaiming the honor,Pride and Glory if becoming Stanley Cup Champions. True last time Ducks experience was 3 years it's in our hearts and memories that is etched in our minds. What will come out of 17th Training Camp is imho a new Edition of the Ducks who will be ready to set things right by using their pillars of strength that is part of who they are. Be it Offense,Defence or Goaltending all aspects of this team must work as ONE!.

Noticeable things change for the better often they have uncertainly over the past few years....Yet looking at the roster from Forwards to Defence and Goaltending i am confident the Ducks come Oct8th will be ready for the challenge that is in front of them. We must expect at times unexpected on who will make it to the Ducks and who won't....throughout history Ducks have fielded teams ready to battle adversity. Training Camp is evalution,Pre-season is always the Test for those who can fit it and earn that SPOT. If Ducks are to succeed it's coming together for a common Goal. A Goal that never changes as long as we remeber.

Honor the Past by moving forward to the future

Not a day goes by since i wonder what will Ducks do next with the Gathering being 7 days away. I wonder sometimes what is the best course of action, it's no wonder that on Ducks Message Board i frequent there is disagreements and silence on what is needed to do next in our team bouncing back. Yet Memories we experince are Positive that are etch in our minds for years to come.....however it seems unfortunaly there are those who seem to bombard others with their knowledge of Hockey that it's a point of foolishness from time to time. I have been accuse of being not knowledge and at times it frustrates me. Then again All times of Knowledge and Passion be it for the Ducks and the sport of Hockey is self-knowledge. Since that great Day three years ago players have come and gone.

But Team remains the same 18 years is still young in Team sports wise and Ducks have achieve so much in a short span.I truly beleive for our team to succeed and reclaim their honor it's to honor the past by getting back to the basics. Smashing their enemies,crushing their foes and Set things Right Once and FOR ALL. By doing so our team must Move ON.

Ducks Must be Iron and Steel

If the Ducks are to regain Honor,Glory and Pride that made our team who we are. It must become One reason being that working together brings out results Ducks and Ducksfans want. To do this they must enact on their desire,Determination and Will to Succeed. The time comes now within Weeks those who waiting in the wings must assume leadership. Bringing about transition will bring about Ducks Hockey and work as a Unit......Goal remains always the same as with Destiny. Measure of our Ducks success is always and SHALL be Unity :)


Three keys for this is Eyes,Heart and Soul.....must be ONE for it gave Ducks a Edge three years ago in winning Stanley Cup. First is Eyes Ducks must show their Determination to Destroy their Enemies and rivals on ice.....Smash them into the ground leave NOTHING Behind as the saying goes FIGHT WITH MIGHT!. 2nd Heart it's belief that they will Prevail and together they can achieve ANYTHING. Final part is Soul in showing the will through Pain,Adversity and against all Odds must come down to honoring those who contributed before you. Ducks must decide how FAR will They go to achieve and get back into reclaiming Greatness. Destiny does not end with One Stanley Cup nor 2......It equals GREATNESS! :D .

Importance of Youth

Coming season 2010-2011 many Ducksfans in Orange County will witness the arrival of what have always say Next Generation or injection of New Blood in the Ducks system. It seems with Fowler Signing 3 year entry and talks of Mitera we may see one or maybe both in the Defence Corps when Training Camp begins and ends. One has to wonder when Youth movement begins we may see some of the Ducks Prospects competing for a spot at Training Camp weeks from now. Setting the bar is a norm our Ducks meet from year in and year out.....with our vets getting older there will come a time for those to step up and take leadership.

Getzlaf,Perry,Ryan,Sexton,Belesky,Mikkelsson and others must take the torch and be ready to lead. If disapointments of Last season shows us it's assumation by those waiting in the wings it will be a repeat. Certainly it will stire desire,determination and Hunger for Ducks to 1.Never REPEAT mistakes of last season 2.Seize the moment by making their mark on Ducks in general, those who made their mark are legends and remeber for their contributions 3. Leave NOTHING i mean NOTHING Behind show them no mercy that being Naysayers,Haters,Purists and those TROLLS who stand in our way of Ducks Destiny will face FEAR.

Regards on those who say who will be on the squad when Ducks begin their Gathering aka Training Camp one thing is certain there will be alot of youth fighting for a spot.

Teemu Selanne:A Ducks Legend

No matter how one looks at this signing. Teemu Selanne's status with Ducks is legend not to mention he has been a fixture in Orange County as long as one knows. Since arriving to Ducks Nation in Feb 6 1996 he has contributed so much to Ducks Cause it's seem like yesterday Teemu hit the ice and made history....From scoring first Playoff goal in 1997 Western Conference Quaterfinal,52 Goals most by any Ducks to helping Ducks win Stanley Cup Championship in 2007.

Memories of him are etched in our minds forever like any moment in Ducks history over Past 18 years be it Good,Positive or bad Teemu always do what is best. It makes smile seeing him ice hearing great things in what he has done for Orange County from Anaheim to Mission Veijio......Never in my mind to see a player do what he did be a ambassdor of our great sport and Team. In fact his legend has been cement long after he decides to call it a career.....It's good to know he is returning for one season. hopefully he will make the best of a 10-11.

Size Does matter

Signing of Sutton brings back Size and Nastyness Ducks missed last season. Even though 08-09 Ducks clinched their 7th Playoff Berth, 4 in a row it was due in part of strengthn in numbers of each player contributing grit,agression and Fury needed our team to Bring the Hammer to our enemy. So Far imho it's a good start considering the fact Ducks Signed Lydman and Re-signing Koviu . It goes to show priorities Ducks make in not repeating the same mistakes as they did.

6-6 D-man is something that will be bring back edge Ducks needed. Then again with Training Camp a month away there is still time Ducks to add hopefully another Big D man perhaps one who is 6-5 to shore up and balance out our team. If Ducks Won Stanley Cup due to Size and speed then i am confident they can do it again.

Ducks Future:Fowler,Etem and Etc

If the signing of Fowler that quickly is symbolic it truly shows Ducks have faith let alone confidence he can make it to one of the opening spots. Developing within is important to groom next generation of Ducks to inherit the role and continue legacy of success. Sure Stanley Cup Championship was 3 years ago but in moving forward it's time to focus on those who will lead Ducks to greatness in the future. it makes sense to me that in order to move forward Youth within Ducks must step up and take responbility of leadership. Scott Niedermayer's role as consultant may prove to be benefical to Ducks Cause in long term, in grooming and helping out Fowler and perhaps others in Defence Corps it can give our Ducks a Fighting chance to bounc back after disapointment of 09-10.

besides Fowler there is Etem a Long Beach Native and SoCal kid most definitily i have high hopes he will develope into the type of player Ducks will have once he moves from Junior to NHL. Cheers from staples centre was something considering a local boy achieve his NHL Dreams....It goes to show Hockey in California especially in Orange County is growing not quickly or slowly but steady. reading up on him if there is anything that stands out is work ethic install in him by his parents who both atheletes knows how hard one must work to achieve their goal


It makes me smile from time to time Hockey in a place like Anaheim is sucessful and can do well once winning conditions and envrioment is complete let alone set down. Even Ducks at times did not perform well as I and those expected it's a bump in a road for many who know this team well. Adversity is nothing new to Ducks especially for those who frequent Ducks Message Boards,Facebook,NHL Arena Ducks Message Board and others. In Order to succeed Ducks must know that unity as a collective will they can overcome and triumph. One thing is certain i beleive truly in my heart Ducks will Return to Stanley Cup and Reclaim their HONOR!.

Ducks symbolic Picks at a historic NHL Draft

It's been nearly month since Draft in LA.....Historic in that it was in Ducks own backyard not to mention in Enemy Territory. One can look this draft is something more then passing the torch,changing of the guard when Ducks announce their picks. One that was almost a dream come true, Other truly symbolic For Hockey in California. Cam Fowler and Emerson Etem both players mark 3rd time Ducks pick a duo in the NHL Draft. Fowler ranked no5 in NHL Central Scouting Etem ranked no17th was something that made our Ducks winners. picking the best player possible rings in true to these two for Etem a Long Beach kid from SoCal is something special since Hockey is growing and with Ducks winning Stanley Cup is one of important events for Hockey in nontradtional Market in Southern California.

Yet Roar of approval by Ducksfans attending the event was music to my ears seeing apperication Ducksfans have in the team picking a California Kid......it shows class Ducksfans have in their players. Something i know first hand for the 9 games i attended over 3 years. Fowler being pick was something honestly never would expected Ducks picked when it came their turn to announce their pick. But i believe as the words of the Newest Duck "Everything happens for a reason" sounds true for Ducks Cause to retool,restructure and bounce back after a disappointing 09-10 season.

If Ducks History shows our team develop good Defencemen,Vitaly Vishneski,Ruslan Salei and Oleg Tervesdosky. Fowler along with Mitera and perhaps Gardiner are on their way to taking the reigns of Ducks greatest strength being their Defence Corps. His contributions to Spitfires winning two MemCups is one aspect that stands out for me in the defencemen taking 12th overall. One thing the Draft shows is Hockey is growing in not only SoCal but Orange County.

Countdown for Ducks Hockey begins and i along with those Ducks fans in Ducks Nation await how this edition of the Ducks will look like. One more thing i want to point out drafting of Beau Bennett and Tyler Aronson shows Orange County is becoming a Hotbed slowly for Hockey.

Ducks Moment of Truth:Pratically equals success!

There is one thing that i need to say and speak on since offseason has saw our Ducks retooling and changing for the better. One thing that stands out is aspect Ducks are determine never EVER repeat what happen last season . Sure We know this team should have been better and Ducks themselves admit that after 09-10 season concluded. Not making Playoffs this year tells us Ducks need to fix what is wrong with key aspects of team especially Defence and Depth. I admit at times i wonder how will Ducks overcome this obstacle in front of them. Honestly with so much time on Ducks side and moving forward i do believe we should not be consume with FEAR or panic in assuming Ducks won't make Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Even though with Scotty's Retirement,Lydman signing,Koviu re-signing along with Drafting of Etem and Fowler has change our Ducks by reawaking their desire and Collective will....it has not change the goal that being winning Stanley Cup and achieving Greatness. Destiny was achieved 3 years ago but it continues in goal our team must pursue. Those who are ready to inherit the Ducks Banner are more then willing to carry winning tradition in the future. By now Next Generation of Ducks coming up in the system some ready some years away shall be able to make Ducks great once more. Ducks moving Forward!

No Doubt the Draft this last week over past two days was a Positive step for Ducks. Moving forward towards a bright future selecting two Steals in a Great draft in Southern Califorina, is something that i still smile over fact our team has drafted Etem and Fowler. "Let's Go Ducks Chants" in LA was music to my ears seeing and hearing Ducks fans showing their approval and appriecation towards two news Ducks in the Flock. What lies ahead for the Ducks is alot of work from Re-signing Free Agents to perhaps maybe trades or signing key Free Agents to shore up Defence Corps and jumpstart offense.

There is still time and it must be used by Ducks in utlizing every resource to restruture and retool the team to regain the glory that made them who they are in the past even though it was always never great in early years of team. Obstacles and Challenges in front of the Ducks are great but like all roadblocks our team will pass through it. Like Adversity they face and the battles they endure.......Free agent frenzy is days away and i am eager to see what they will do to ensure depth of our team is strengthen and Legacy of sucess continues nothing more nothing less.

Ducks will Return to Glory

Drafting Etem and Fowler was symbolic since it was held in Southern California near enemy terroritory. What more can Ducksfans appericate then seeing team Draft one of top 10 D-men in this year's Draft, along with a local kid from Long Beach California was something to smile about. What really made it all special is seeing Ducksfans in attendance chanting "Let's Go Ducks".....Music to one's ears seeing DucksPride is in most likely of places. Important thing was restruturing for first stage of the Ducks is completed. Strenghtening D as well as Forward positions since some of young guns of our team has earn a place on Ducks roster. Simply put it NHL Draft in LA was a great start in ensuring Desire,Hunger and....YES Dedication is put in place for the team to move forward from Scott Niedermayer Era.

Suffice to say Ducks are far from completing the task at hand in regards to Free Agents on July 1st. Steps taken now ensures Ducks will Return to Glory that brought not only GREATNESS but show path where destiny lay ahead. What changes now is Team but They rename whole in a ever-changing NHL Enviroment where our Enemies and Rivals seem to have a edge on us. There is purpose when one's see the future...Ducks is bright as sun and they will spread their influence outward till Destiny they acheive is acknowledge.

Passing the Torch Moment for Ducks.

There moments in Ducks History that stick out in one's mind that is important moment in a team's history. Selanne traded to Ducks in 1996,Niedermayer signing in 2005,Getzlaf,Pears drafted in 2003 and Giguere traded in 2000. Nieds calling it a career will be remember for not only his contribution to our Ducks and part of Winning their First Stanley Cup Championship. Legacy he left behind most definitely has laid cornerstone of success for our team in years to come...This marks a passing the torch moment for the Ducks in doing so it's symbolic now that leadership is past on to a Younger Generation within Team.Guys like Getzlaf,Perry,Ryan and others must realize now know Leadership when Puck drops in on their shoulders. Like Jonas Hiller inheriting No1 starter role from Giguere or Young Guns like Beleskey,Bodie,Sexton and Carter have slowly become regulars of Ducks Roster. Proven they are ready to move forward and advance "Ducks Nation" towards Future.

The Coming days will be important more then ever for Ducks in regrouping and Reorganizing our team for upcoming season. Sure i said few times each offseason is important over past seasons and years. But this is Extremely Important since Ducks and Ducksfans will have to get us to Nieds not begin around anchoring Defence Corps. It's a Blow to team but we should Never Forget Ducks have overcome adversity to Rise once more.......it Leaves Teemu and Saku their decisions we may wait but whatever happens could be another Passing the Torch moment for our team. 2 days from now we will see what is a New Generation of Ducks introduce to Ducks Nation!.

Youth and Experince

Whether we wait for decisions of a Ducks Legend or the Captain, or wait to see who will be part of Next Generation of Ducks. Nothing exciting then seeing Ducks regroup and focus on future. Success can be achieve if Youth and Experience are part of a greater whole there is no doubt Veterans who have experience within Ducks shall lead and push forward toward finishing what was started by out team. 3 years Ago they did that, before it was a struggle to earn Honor,Respect and Eternal Glory. Now amidst specs,rumors and of course gossip there is one question that seems to appear......how will this Edition of Ducks in 10-11 look like?.

Many Questions will be answer next week hopefully it will fall into place better yet see future be brighter then a Eternal Flame of Ducks Fighting Spirit. As i always have said Ducks advantage is their "Strength in Numbers" few times here so far it has not panned out but i do believe at D-Day in LA they will strengthen it at Depth by either taking best player possible or shoring up positions separatily be it Forwards,Defence or Goaltending. When a team has youth it must have direction to be focus on achieving the motto and objective it hand. Ducks have the youths within their system ready to take over for years to come. Guys like Mitera,Gardiner,Brandon McMillan,Peter Holland,Logan MacMillan,Timo Pielmier and others must have guidance to improve their game and one day suite up to contribute to Ducks.

Which leaves Experience like Teemu and Nieds both bring alot to table and their years battling has been one that left their legacy to Ducks and Ducksfans it's these two amidst their age knows what it takes to Win and overcome Adversity.......Reason for these two along with Marchant and few others is preparing Next Generation of Ducks to inherit Role and accept Mantle of Ducks Nation!. Also having this mixture allows our team to have balance attack that can give Ducks adaptability and depth something i admit They did not Have during 09-10. When it comes down Decisions of Two players it may affect where our team decides to pursue come Training Camp, for this summer Ducks know that it's Unacceptable to have a slow start and with Hunger,desire and determination Ducks will RISE AGAIN!.

Memory never Dies cause Greatness never Fades.

It seems like yesterday as if it was not that long ago, many times since that day i look back and feel joy in seeing our Ducks not only won the Stanley Cup but raise it to the heavens of the Hockey world. Screaming at the top of my lungs hearing the buzzer sound was something i never forget....every moment from the puck drop to the clock struck zero was something not only myself but all of us remember deeply. If words describe event happen 3 years ago it was glorious for many in Ducks Nation for it was moment that our team in OUR house turn the page, opening a new chapter and era in Ducks History. Since Day1 we endure so much from the insults and mockery of trolls to Self-Denial naysayers who still won't admit Ducks success. Symbolic Victory was important to us we become Ducks Nation....Ducks winning the holy grail that is Stanley Cup was a completion of many battles from going against all odds to overcoming adversity

3 Year anniversary of Ducks Winning Stanley Cup is a positive moment we cherish and yet it marks Ducks fanbase growing and changing as a whole. We become wiser and expect more from our Ducks, as we look back we should never forget the moment that stood tall for many within Ducks and Ducksfans alike...honoring that memory strong in our hearts,Minds,Body and soul we were Ducks Stanley Cup hats,T-shirts or watch the DVD remembering how our team got to be were they are.I Follow this team as you all do in Orange County and other parts of world it's truly symbolic when Banner was shown and Ducks crowded together in sheer joy and relieve. Knowing their hardwork and struggles over the years paid off it was amazing, honoring the memory over this Great moment in Ducks Stanley Cup Victory......We must move on.

Knowing well our team suffer a setback must regroup,bounce back in a big way. Decision to Traded Pronger was necessary considering Ducks may not afford to keep him around as for Scott and Teemu hopefully their routine ends quickly asap. Yet some of us seem to be taking our team for granted in what our team has accomplished. Ducks are imho a great non-traditional hockey market in NHL.....I am not saying out of ignorance or out of overzealous passion. I am saying this cause all most of us got to do including Ducksfans is look at Team History....it tells our team is Unique,Different and for 18 years faced adversity since their Founding. Team Name,Colors even Jerseys were unconventional and it was break from tradition 18 years ago. Sure it was funny name but it STUCK with us....But as long as many including those who witness "Day of Great Victory" Memory we share will remain strong for Decades to come....in Doing so for Future Ducks coming up within system they must Honor the 13th Edition of team by fulfilling promise of not faltering it can be done and Ducks will RISE once more. Ducks Candiates for 2010 NHL Draft

24 Days away from NHL Draft questions remain on what our Ducks will do at Draft Day. This even held in LA...unfortunately will is a big event for not only Ducksfans but Hockey fans around the world. Draft begin held in Ducks backyard in Southern California is something i know many local Ducksfans look forward to. Since it's in enemy Terortiry. But the main thing for many within Ducks Nation who will our Ducks Pick?,will They Trade? or stand pat. Candidates are plenty this year's crop of prospects there are three that standout what i feel could be possible choice for Ducks to pick this year come June25th NHL Draft. These Three has been mention by Ducksfans i know on Ducks Message Board.

1.Nino Niederreiter: Not only being Sbisa's teammate with the Winterhawks but his presence during the 2010 World Juniors earn him tournament All-star leading all players with 10pts(6goals-4assists).
2.Derek Forbort:Since Defence will be Ducks number1 priority due to departure of Prongs it's important to Draft a D-man with Size. 6-5 playing for USA U-18 in USHL 5goals 15assists 20pts in two years it's said that he is strong in his offensive instincts as his coach Kurt Kleindorst qouted "He is strong on both sides of the puck,Offensive Instincts are what really jump out .
3.Emerson Etem: What would be a great way then have a local Socal Kid drafted by Anaheim Ducks....not only would it be fit for Etem IF Ducks pick him but it would be a great way to showcase and have a local kid be drafted by a NHL team in Southern Califorina Region. His stats 37Goals 28assists 65pts great work ethic as his coach WillieDesjardins has qouted in scouting report “Emerson is a great skater who opens up the ice real well. He is a real professional already".

These three maybe imho Ducks likely choice to pick come D-Day likewise others within Ducks Nation have different views on how our team must pick in order to improve on a certain weakness to become a key strength. Be it the Stanley Cup Championship 3 years ago or the First Playoff berth and First Stanley Cup Finals appearance. We should never EVER let anyone tell us who we are and what this team can do.

Passion of the Ducks

Here I am as Ducks fan Hardcore,Die-hard to the bone.....if One thing that makes me what i am is knowing my deep beleif in the team i follow as child. Knowing each moment is history in making. Be it Good or bad,ugly through thick and thin sometimes it's knowing Ducks as a whole will come out on top or Battle to he Bitter end. Always even though this team came short i truly in my heart beleive better Days are ahead. Yet those new to Duck Cause do not know what it means to feel the backlash and negativitly of being one who follows this unique team and a Unique Place such as Orange County. Often it borders on a strong zeal sometimes fanatic, but i never ever will let anyone or ANYTHING bring me down or my passion for Ducks.

Yes i have at times bring alot of passion on Ducks Message Board, too much but it never stops me from speaking what is on my mind and what i feel. No Apolgois express my zeal yet it annoys others, one thing is certain is seeing a team mock by many during first few years go from sucessful Expanison team to One of greatness. Knowing full well what is acceptable and what is not. I definitly will not back down and i will Post what i feel is right nothing more nothing less. If some Know-it-alls call me out i can tell them to Go to HELL. Ducks Future and beyond

Memorial Cup This week marks pinnacle of what is Future of Hockey,NHL and More. What is notice could be one of the Ducks Prospects Nicolas Deschamps may have a chance to play in the game. Of course many of us know Logan MacMillan's tenure during last year's MemCup tourney with Oceanic. Prospects within Ducks system, Timo Pielmeier,Peter Holland,Jake Gardiner,Josh Brittian,Logan MacMillan,Mark Mitera and Kyle Palmeri and others prove our future is bright and strong in years to come.

What really makes me happy is seeing the number of Californians at the Draft. Since coming to SoCal to see my Anaheim Ducks and getting the feel of positive atmosphere was worth something knowing Anaheim is a sucessful Non-tradtional Hockey Market and hockey growing among Orange County Comunnities. Summer will be a occasion for our team to restruture and regroup.......The need is now what happen last season happens for a reason which is unacceptable. Ducks will Rise and they will do it come 10-11 by leaving a trail of fear for other 29 NHL Teams.

Remebering the past

Be it Good or Bad,Positive or Negative....Success and lost. Nothing can be said then our Ducks history is unique in it's own way. Those on the Ducks message board some who will remain nameless is taking this team for granted. I believe the Ducks future rests in Destiny that goes beyond one Stanley Cup Championship, to say many within Ducks Nation is focusing too much on the past is foolish let alone generalized. The Positive Sucess Ducks have achieve is something we Ducksfans should cherish and appericate. Stanley Cup Championship,Two Western Conference Titles,Pacific Divison Crown,Two Stanley Cup Finals Appearances,Three Western Conference Finals Appearances and 7 Stanley Cup Playoff Berths. Plus holding most wins by a Expansion Team*33wins* in NHL History.

What Ducks have done is prove Anaheim Orange County is a successful Non-traditional Market for Hockey to exist in O.C. Moving forward is something all Ducksfans should do but remembering accomplishments is what keeps the memory going. Those who deny Day of Great Victory*June6th 2007* and Great win this team achieve should not be look as part of a past but something we remember in our hearts.

There those in Ducks Message Board at times be know-it-alls that at times are jerks. Often correcting and insulting some. One of the most exciting events in offseason is none other then NHL entry Draft. Besides Stanley Cup Finals and enjoying the game. Watching a Player's name out and seeing him putting on the Jeresy sweater of his team is truly something to see. Reason begin that one of the players including Ducks who will draft their prospect maybe a NHLer be it legendary status or someone who will have a impact on the team they follow.

Ducksfans as many know see players who wore Ducks D and Duckmask years before develope from Prospect to Ducks regular on the roster. From Mike Leclerc and Vishneski to Getzlaf and Perry. Draft being held in LA aka Enemey Territory gives us a chance to show DuckPride and wear our Colors representing Anaheim Ducks and Duck Cause.

2010 NHL Draft in LA is golden Oppourtity for Ducks Fans in Orange County and elswhere to show up and represent our team. Ducks will have Draft Parties and of course they will be watching the Event from good O.C as i know they will one thing is certain i hope to see a large contigent of Ducksfans invading staples centre on June 25.

Anaheim Ducks,LA Angels and BJJ

Since Ducks season is over many Ducksfan have tried to focus on something to kill time before Ducks 17th season begins. It's odd our team is no longer in Stanley Cup Playoffs, but it may be a good in the long term giving Ducks something to fight for in knowing it is unacceptable to have a slow start, let alone not having much urgency can lead to a Team's sluggish start. Summer may seem long for us first time in 4 years but many find something to do in keeping track on Ducks and news involve them. be it Ducks Offical Website from Ducks.nhl.com,Ocregister,Facebook or even twitter no matter where we are Ducks are on our mind. Since others have focus on baseball like Anaheim Angels Orange County's other Pro sports team. I have grown to follow and keep track of Angels baseball through few games thus far. I admit i only see few innings from time to time never full game since i am more into Hockey then any sport, but i watch just to pass time. Baseball is not part of my nation's country but i have deep respect for Anaheim Angels and it's fans. My stay in Anaheim this year i was able to take Pics of Angel staduim

BJJ aka Gracie Jiu-jitsu,Jiujitsu or Carlson Grace Jiu-jitsu is another aspect that has grown on me since there are many Jiu-jitsu schools in Orange County area Gracie Barra,Tinguinha Brazilian Jiujitsu Academy,Carlson Gracie OC Academy,Ralph Gracie OC are four schools that stand out. Seeing it as a sport is something i disagree with in general since it's evolved from a Marital Art and it's nothing more then Ground Judo. Judo another Grappling art that interests me is something i hope to try if i have time. Needless to say it has intrigue me for awhile, no i have not watch UFC but i have watch few matches from time to time. However If i was to dabble abit in Martial Arts like BJJ or Judo....the four i would take rounds out to 1. Wing Chun Kung Fu 2.Judo/Carlson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu 3.Muay Thai 4.Boxing. They stick out to me for their practical and common sense apporach to understanding one's culture and history.

I know deeply Anaheim Ducks,Anaheim Angels and Jiu-Jitsu in and around Orange County has it's impact on Orange County be it Anaheim,Orange,Irvine,Mission Vejio,Newport Beach and other communites no matter what I have and always appericate Orange County and Ducks.

Watching Stanley Cup Playoffs and my view of Sidney Crosby.

Watching as observer well mostly a person who enjoys seeing one's team rivals fall is something i always love to see those i dispise and hold hate for lose in the most typical of ways. Be it San Jose's tradtion of choking to Detroit finding themselves down on losing end of a upstart team. Of course both have been battling teams i know those in Orange County hate most. Be it Colorado,Phoniex all four have been Ducks rivals and enemies throughout Ducks History.

It seems odd Ducks are not in Playoffs let alone it seems yesterday Ducks were elimanted and not make it to a fifth straight trip to Stanley Cup Playoffs. One thing that is exciting bout watching Post-season is Who will be this year's Stanley Cup Champions.

For the NHL West it is simple i would nothing like and many Ducksfans and those in Orange County agree in seeing San Jose,LA and Detroit lose in First round. Yet Colorado,Phoniex and Vancouver are another three that i hope lose in 2nd round IF they can pull it off. NHL East it's simple New Jeresy and for me personally Pittsburgh.

Reason Pittsburgh is the notion Sidney Crosby is supposely the NHL's "Saviour". It's not his yapping and whine that annoys me it's arrogance let alone issues involve due to local disdain and jealousely of this man. I mean for crying out loud He got a BillBoard before he won the Cup.....Right around time Joe Dipenta months ago brough Stanley Cup Home to Cole Harbour Nova Scotia. If there is anything i see wrong it's promoting one Player and ignoring another's hardwork. Of course it shows at times people tend to go with one who is popular.

I am not a fan of Sidney Crosby nor am i swept by his suppose Hype bout him over the years before he enter NHL. People can say how he handles himself but i for one view him as One of Many players that gives NHL it's glory.

Youth and Experince:key aspects of the Ducks.

It's Important for any team including Ducks to have these two aspects in their roster. When you have youth you get determination and willingness to prove one self especially for Ducks. Success brings about honor and it brings with it Experience.....it gives those of our Veterans among the team to lead and pass down traits to those who are ready to step in and take one's place. The Ducks success comes from those two aspects for rookies it's showing they are ready to step in any time one Duck is Injured or traded. For Veterans it's knowing experience in seasons past and present that gives a team driving force to excel and achieve their Destiny.

Appreciating that our Ducks young guns in the system has proven themselves well gives hope for future and knowing this team is in good hands during this 2nd stage of transition. It leaves us with questions on status of several of the vets, Selanne,Niedermayer and Koviu have been important part of the team especially Selanne and Niedermayer to over look their accomplishments especially for the Ducks is a mistake. Koviu shows he can play well into the system and fits right in on Ducks 2nd line with Bobby Ryan or Nick Bonino.

The choice Ducks have is clear but it's not their decision in regards who they want to be back. Puck is in Teemu and Scott's endzone....Koviu on the other hand i hope they sign him after they re-sign Bobby Ryan. Key thing this off season of change is putting together this team into a more balance apporach with Defence First and a Spreadout offense. Certainly i would like Ducks to add abit of youth into next edition of this team come 10-11 ,Belesky,Sexton and Bodie earn their stripes. Mikkelson and Festerling would not mind if they are called up abit we will wait and see. As soon as Puck drop in October Ducks know full well Urgency of not repeating what happen in 09-10...NEVER AGAIN! cause it will spark the Fire that lay dormat within their Soul.

Ducks Season:2009-2010 Season in Review.

So it ends for our Ducks 39-32-11 89pts 11th place in the NHL West. It's disappointing yet frustrating it ends in such a way that, definitely not what Ducks and we all envision this season to be. Up and down season, questions of where Ducks go from here is full of questions in this long offseason in f5 years. Status of two of our team's veteran leaders,improving Defence Corps,what to do with Draft Picks,Re-signing of important players remains to be answer when NHL draft and Free agent frenzy rolls around. If there is one sliver lining to take out of this season it's knowing our Ducks got too complacent at times during the season. Lack of urgency was a cause for concern for many including myself on why Ducks were not able at times to finish off their rivals and enemies during 82 games.

Yet with all that has happen things happen for reason in regards to Ducks strengths and their Collective will to succeed. It's true they fell short and failed, but to say this is a worst season is disagreeable at best. 09-10 by far is tough in resolve of support for the Ducks.......It was tough to see Ducks in my eyes lose two games before i left back home to Halifax. It's tough knowing Ducks lost to Pacific Division Rivals they dominated over years past. By far it came down to strategy and Gameplan that needed to be adapt to a everchanging NHL Environment.

Ducks have it all Players,Tools and need to succeed. So far it did not come to fruition. RC's Absurd goalie rotation in the first 15 games really did not do well for Ducks Goaltending tandem. Also morale among those in Ducks Nation was low that many wanted to tank this season.....I refuse to beleive it was best Ducks should GIVE UP then Fight on. Yes I am optimist and what really angers me is the notion this team went from "Champs to Chumps" is foolish and absurd at best.

Juggling of the lines and rise of many within Ducks system gave way to what seems like a learning experince. It gives those who are our team's next generation a chance to shine and soon inherit what is mantle of Ducks system of Hockey. First thing's first repairing Ducks system must start with Defence and work it's way towards Forwards position. Goaltending is fine as for Coaching we may have to wait and see. Now Ducks know it's truly Unacceptable to play as they did for two seasons!.

As whole true strength remains as one like a nation Ducksfans all agree to disagree on what is best course of action for our team. There differences and Ducksfan come from everywhere.

Be it Orange County Communities Anaheim,Orange,Irvine,Mission Vejio,Lake Forest,Laguna Beach and others. To Halifax Nova Scotia,Toronto and Vancouver. We can never forget what made this team what it is today and lessons learn now. Ducksfans are everywhere from Ducks Message Board,to Blogs,Facebook,twitter and other forums of New Media. Important thing is that no matter where you are we are part of Ducks Nation...Unique,different and supporting our team through good or bad.

Contributing so much on and off the ice for Duck Causse he has made his mark not only for the Ducks but Orange County as a whole. Ambassdor for the sport and well liked among those in Ducks Nation, Truly he is a legend that will be remeber as one as we live.

Coming to Anaheim 14 years ago was something i remeber that shook me to the core at 15 years of age. First major trade of Ducks as i look at it that day, truly it never cross my mind that day He would become a legend of not only Ducks but in Orange County 11 years later i would visit Anaheim getting to meet and see the legend not to mention experincing those who met him saying nothing but great things was something i will remeber for the rest of my life.

It is said that Greatness never fades cause memory never dies. For Ducksfans his legacy will live on along with Anaheim Ducks.
