1st half Struggle and My Thoughs

Inconsistencies.......a Word that sums up the Ducks Struggles and questions on why this team is underachieving. Many of us including myself wonder what is going on..."Why our team is in a Funk". So many Questions we ask each other on Ducks Message Board,Facebook,Twitter and face to face at the Ponda. For those who follow this team since Day 1 we have seen it before a Road with Bumps and turns,ups and downs. YES we express our Anger,Our Frustrations and disappointments on why this team is where they are Now. I am no expert nor someone who reads minds....but blame needs to go around no matter where it is. Be it Players,Coaches or Front Office. It's Duty of those who wore the Ducks D and those who select,Draft,Pick and Sign the players that can bring a Winning Product on the Ice for Ducks Fans to Cheer and City to be Proud of with A Smile and Hope. These past Months we are in despair........But I ask this to all Ducks Fans who remember and know History well. Staying the Course does not mean the End. Or giving up on the team and season. Nothing is easy and Ducks took 14 years to Win their First Stanley Cup,10 years to reach their First Stanley Cup Final and 4 to earn a First Stanley Cup Playoff Spot. Why I brought this up is simple.......Nothing was nor the end, did we give up on DUCKS Pursuing their First Stanley Cup or achieving Glory as a Whole in the Hockey World. My Answer is no for Perseverance has been the Ducks Strength for they endure. How we do this is simple...Trades that are strategic,Signings for Player who fit well into the Ducks Cause and System of Hockey. There are No answers to why they are where they are....One thing is certain and sure. Message to Ducks Fans:Always Beleive

I Can't blame you for your Concerns and worries....I understand and know that all Ducks fans including our team has a Right to be concern with Lack of Offense and underperformance is something many is getting use to it. We expect more from the Ducks,It's players be it Forwards to Defense and Goaltending. Yet still we see inconsistencies. many of us can agree to disagree on what path the Ducks Take be it Trades,Firing Bruce Almighty or staying the Course. As we debate where the Ducks will finish, I Believe as some of you do this team will Turn it around. If History tells as all Ducks fans from Coast to Coast....Be it Orange County California to Canada,Finland,Sweden and elsewhere. We CANNOT give in to Despair we KNOW what this team is capable of. Experience,Talent and Skill should Result in our Ducks near or at the Top of Standings of Pacific Division or NHL West. Everytime I look at the Standings I ask myself this "What is wrong with this team". It's many times I ask myself since I came back from attending 3 games Live in October at the Ponda. We cannot Lose Sight Ducks have made the Stanley Cup Playoffs when they are in a Slow Start. Neither should we give up when this team needs not only Support but rely on each other NOT few to Get this team back into the Fight. It's unsettling to see the Ducks deadlast in Pacific Division and Western Conference. BUT we must not give up. IT'S NOT DEFEAT and the Ducks have 2 months to turn this season around.....Whatever Happens we know Ducks can win the Stanley Cup. It's not matter of how....But When!. DuckPride 4ever MooseDuck

Thoughs on the Ducks:After 28 games

been awhile since I posted last time wrote it was our Ducks being in a Slow-Start situation that something some forgot it was typical of season past and years prior. That being slow start Ducks endure which lead to us doubting them and of course panic in some Ducks fans within Ducks Nation. 2 months have past since Ducks went 1-7-2 talk of despair has now turn to hope which I am not surprise. I must admit seeing them lose twice which I attend had me in Doubt.......But i find perspective in knowing our Anaheim Ducks endure several slow starts before only to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs and go deep in Post season. 11-12-5 27pts has proven to many Resilience is part of the Ducks DNA, it did not show but it resurface at the right time. Striking distance for the Ducks to gain a foothold in Stanley Cup Playoffs at this moment is 1pt. As Much we can be satisfied with improve performance from John Gibson contributing in giving this team a edge in Wins to Current Ducks be it Nate Thompson returning from Injury. I think what was lost in Ducks Fans expectations i hopes of repeat performance of strong starts in October that lead to 3 straight Pacific Division Titles from 2013-2015......It can be debated whether it lead to knee jerk reactions of who Ducks should trade or fire. But I must say this clearly with a open mind that All Ducks Fans should Not be surprise by the Team's Resiliency. Over the past years When Ducks where not at their best they slowly turn the corner. From Stellar Goaltending to timely Goals which give them Wins that were not meant for them. I believe deep down in All Ducks fans including myself there was a glimmer of hope and knowledge that we know in our Hearts this team would Persevere. Look at the Wins and effort we display against Pittsburgh,San Jose,Vancouver and few others. Team is coming together,Depth is starting to Click and Gibson once again shows why he is FUTURE Number 1 Goalie for the Ducks...All in All Ducks overcame and is where they are now afte 28 games. To say the Ducks are the worst and very weak is absolute Understatement. To me they under perform in October which is justified in stating a Honest Fact. As we await the Ducks to conclude their 6 game homestand finale Friday. Let's Ponder of how this team turn the corner by closing gap to 1pt out of 7th and 8th spot in NHL West. There is alot of HOPE and many possibilities for now. Ducks will be hopefully ready to set the tone for not only final home game before East Roadtrip but be ready to UNLEASH a MIGHTY FURY on the next 7 games. Ducks at 2-7-2:Slow Starts happen Before!

I am not going to lie nor sugarcoat where our Ducks are now at the early point of 15-16 season. Frustration,Disappointment and at times surprise is what we feel including myself when seeing the Ducks Struggle in October. This team lost ground in a Big way let alone several of the Big Guns did not score any goals in first 10 games of Ducks 15-16 Campaign. Seeing the team not scoring any goals was mindboggling yet frustrating when I saw them live for 3 games at Ponda in October......Don't know how I feel, you can bet I was not happy nor impress with The Ducks not only scoring any goals but getting shutout in back to back games which was Blow to moral of our team and Ducks Fans everywhere. I can honestly feel how Ducks Fans felt during the loss against Phx and the Avs. Not good Feeling and demoralizing if you can know what some Ducks Fans who were sitting with me call the team "San Diego" in Sarcastic Tone. But there was something that made me think bout slow start Ducks have endure this year. For all that has happen in October first 11 games made me think back to Previous seasons.........before Ducks were Rising in 2003 and 2007 before they shocked the Hockey World few times. Struggle Ducks have at their moment is Reminder nothing is easy and that Struggles have been part of our History before. Sure We were blessed with 3 straight strong Starts. We cannot dwell on misery of Ducks having to lose ground or take our frustration out on this team. We must always remember Ducks endure as we Ducks fans have be through slow starts before.....Season is still young IF the Ducks can regain lost Ground and honor in the next few Months then we would look at October as Nothing more then a Hiccup. For Next 15 games it won't be easy and We know as our Ducks Do nothing is easy for Perseverance is Essential and Vital ot overcome Any Adversary. T-Minus 1 Day till Ducks Hockey:Season Opener

So it Begins tommorow night, after months of waiting,days of talking bout "What IF'S to seeing the Players our Ducks have acquired for and signed in the Offseason has our Hopes up and our Goals being a real as Brightness of the Sun. "Gathering of the Ducks" aka Training Camp has concluded with the Ducks 22nd Edition assembled and ready for the Quest for the Stanley Cup. Path we see is clear it will be tough yet Hard as we know nothing is easy to earn the Right to Hoist Hockey's Holy Grail and become Immortal in the Hockey world yet again. News I hear from and read on Ducks Message Board is Good,Positive and Hope is everywhere from Ducks Message Board to Facebook,Twitter and Instagram. Even Ducks Fans outside of Orange County California and North America and Looking ahead in what is Important season. Arrival of Haeglin,Stewart,Bieska and others give the Team not only a deep one but strengthen the Depth everywhere including Left Wing for the first time as I remember. But we must not take it for granted or assume this season is a forgone Conclusion. The Hockey News may have Predicated the Ducks to win it all yet we must take it with a grain of salt since Prediction do not come true..........Cept 8 years ago when yours truly and I think others had a "Wait and see" Approach that year plus it was first time I made Trip to see the Ducks in person. Looking at Ducks Roster I am very pleased and Happy with the Players they put together on the team. from Hagelin and Knudobin being name to the Ducks 2015-16 opening season Roster to young Guns Chris Wagner and Josh Mansonn earning their spot through Hard Work and Dedication. Mix of youth and Experience as I see the names is apparent and clear as Day right in front of us. We know and we can agree "Good is not close enough" is not only their New Mantra But I see it as a RALLYING Cry for the Ducks and all DUCKS FANS THROUGHOUT THE HOCKEY WORLD and everywhere. Too Long we have endure 3 Game 7 Losses that it dwells abit on our Mind. Like a sickeness it must cured. Yet in order to this Ducks must BREAK it with Collective Will that must KNOW NO FEAR and have faith in each other. First as Ducks 22nd Campaign we must hit the ground Running by MAKING example of San Jose....MAKE THEM INTO Sushi and CARVE A PATH THAT LEAVES NOTHING BUT Teams being afraid of us to play and Battle against each Night. 15-16 Season also marks historic First in Ducks Farm team establish in San Diego. Talks of having a farm team close to Home in SoCal has been talk about for last decade. Truly I am thrilled like all Ducks Fans that Ducks not only move the Farm team close to Home but Founded the San Diego Gulls in honor of previous Gulls team prior years before. Ducks Sphere of Influence expanding to San Diego imho will increase Hockey beyond Orange County but also expand FanBase that will encompass both Orange County and San Diego County. To me it's a Big Boost and Great Thing for the Ducks and kudos to Henry and Susan Samueli on bringing Hockey Back to a City with Great History. Gulls Uni and Logo has some symbolism from the lettering to Ducks Shoulder Patch on the Gulls Uni. What excits is knowing the team will will keep a close eye on Gibson,Ritchie and other Ducks Prospects who will get some seasoning while being monitor by Ducks Front Office. Gone are now the days where the Ducks had to form alliances with East Coast Teams in order to develop their Prospects.....There was one time Ducks had no farm team which hinder that progress for a short time. As we Count Down I am looking at Ducks SMASHING THROUGH our enemies and Rivals as well as Gulls in establishing their Mark and Setting the Tone for this Hockey Season. As for Ducks Players we should keep an eye on John Gibson,Nic Ritchie and others who symbolic represent Ducks Greatness for Years to come. Anaheim Ducks 2015-2016 Season:My Thoughs and Hopes

"It's the most wonderful time of the year". More likely it's new beginnings and Start for our Ducks in the coming days we will see 22nd Edition of Anaheim Ducks assembled and Ready to Bring Glory to not only City of Anaheim and Orange County but Ducks Fans worldwide from Canada,USA,Finland and Russia to Sweden and beyond. New Players,New Assistant Coach and new mantra "Good is not Close enough" signals the Ducks are not done nor forget shortcomings of the previous Post season. Losing Game 7 3 years a row weights heavy in our minds.....but from reading from those on Ducks Message Board it has strengthen the Resolve and hasn't dampen the Mood of many Ducks Fans from Ducks Message Board,Facebook,Twitter and Instagram who knows the Ducks Can do better. It stings abit but not alot as it did months ago. What I look forward is the Ducks as they always do in season prior under Bruce "Almighty" Boudreau path must be paved with RUTHLESS Fury and Relentless Aggression that leaves alll 29 teams be it our Enemies and Rivals shaking in the skates and Fans in awe of our team as they "RISE AGAIN" to meet the Challenge that awaits them. I Hope in my heart and Soul the Ducks will not only Dominate but snap the Game 7 funk that ails them in Stanley Cup Playoffs. What lay ahead for this team is Expectations that are set for them. 3 straight Pacific Division Titles is good...not Close enough in achieving the Goal that inspire us all 8 years ago. Make no mistake as we ponder how and where the Ducks will Finish in their 22nd season. As the Roster Cuts have been made and Ducks slowly after "The Gathering" we know our team is the not only good.......BUT the Best in Hockey World. All it needs is Collective Will and the Dedication to GREATNESS is and has been that FACTOR that Drives us all. Are WE NOT SATISFIED with results of the last 3 years?. I SAY NO I say never. Players I see I like and what Bob has done was necessary in order to embolden the Ducks and Drive home the Pure Message. Anything SHORT then Winning the Stanley Cup is a Failure....Too words that I always say and that is "NEVER AGAIN". As I countdown the Days to Ducks Quest for the Stanley Cup....I also look forward to going to see My Friends who I never take for granted their friendship. June 6th 2007 "Day of Great Victory":8 years Later

Memories last forever and tomorrow we mark a day that is symbolic to us all. Anaheim Ducks won their 1st Stanley Cup on that day...6-2 over Ottawa winning the Series 4-1, We all remember where we are from when Puck Drop to Buzzer sound. Whether you be there in your seat at the Ponda aka Honda Centre Live in your seat when Ducks Became Champions and FIRST California Based team to achieve that feat to those around the world watching it at home,Keeping Score or listening Internet Radio. We all knew where we were when Ducks Won Hockey's Biggest Prize on a the day I coined "Day of Great Victory" on Ducks Message Board. For me watching that game that night meant alot to me as a Diehard Ducks Fan. When Scott Niedermayer hoisted the Stanley Cup tears of joy,Happiness and vindication came over me. Screaming "Anaheim Ducks 4ever" while I run through My house I felt on top of the world....I though of My life long friends who I made that day. from those I met in person and those I connected on Facebook It made me realize that moment we all change from the team to All Ducks Fans as whole we realize the sky is not only the limit but there are endless possibilities from Free agents many Ducks fans hope for to Prospects Ducks could Draft. Amazing that it seems as if That Stanley Cup Victory was yesterday often I smile at the Pics of Giguere holding his Baby skating on ice to Teemu Holding the Stanley Cup over his head. Roar of the Crowd counting down it was like Thunder of Energy knowing full well that we became the Top Dog of Hockey World. Reflecting and remembering that moment reminds me best is yet to come. As many of us deal with the sting of 3rd Straight Game 7 loss at Home for the Ducks. Let's remember clearly and openly in our hearts and Minds with each adversity Ducks face no matter Win or Lose,adepting to Injuries that plague them or any funk our Ducks with overcome it. People say Ducks should focus on being like other teams for Success in Copying them. Ducks Losing Game 7:Days After

Disappointment,Sad,Anger and of course Frustration....it's something Felt when the buzzer sound and Ducks Losing for 3rd Straight Game 7 at home in 3 years. What's worst was knowing our team was sadly enough the First to lose 3 Game 7's with Home Ice advantage. Our Foes are having a field day bombarding with the BS we see on Ducks Facebook and Twitter. Over on Ducks Message Board it's mix of Knee Jerk Reaction and upset at why our Ducks would lose a Game 7 at Home AGAIN was not insulting but Dishonorable. Seeing Clarence Campbell Bowl presented to a opposing team on Ponda for 2nd time was a Disgrace. I read from fellow Ducks fans feel shaken and have faith tested. I can't blame most of them for feeling that way.Blame the players,Coaches and the system for this Let down We don't know how or why the Ducks Fall short 2 Days ago. One can wish to be the fly in the wall to understand or know what was going on in the Ducks Locker Room. It hurts seeing many of the players in postgame interview...You can tell by their expressions they felt they were the better team. In my honest view I truly Believe This team could go all the way, whatever the Issue is the Ducks must address asap this offseason. You See as much as we can debate,Bicker and disagree on what happen the Big Picture that follows this Team is simple...Ducks Need a Defencemen. Someone with not only a Calming Influence but can assist in developing Ducks Four Young Guns within Defence Corps. They have Beauchemin but we may need another to give guys like Fowler,Vatanen,Despres and Lindholm a Shot in the arm and groom them for the role as part of the Ducks Cause. There will be changes not major ones as we speak as days will turn to weeks and months as far as winning the Pacific Division Title for 3rd straight year,overcoming injuries and other adversity This team is destine for greatness. Agree with me or not with how i see the Ducks right now tested with this heartbreaking loss...it will strengthen resolve and that of the youth within their ranks. They now again that Winning and overcoming Adversity is Hard never Easy not a Cakewalk. One can expect them to Win but we must always realize that to achieve Victory you have to endure Naysayers,Trolls and Pundits not to motion Predictions of alot of Rival or hated NHL Fans and especially in Hockey. "Where do the Ducks go from here" beleive me questions will be coming and changes will be needed. It pains me to think of the loss and seeing the Pic of the Hawks presented with the Western Conference Trophy made mine blood boil....All in all IF the Ducks are to snap this seemly bizzare Funk that is losing Game 7's 3 straight years it comes down to Ducks Fans most of us moving on and Remember that we must Not let this create Doubt on the Team who we feel is the best and many Ducks fans who believe in the path Ducks will take. Remember my Fellow Ducks Fans the path to Stanley Cup is hard and full of obstacles. Ducks Stanley Cup Quest: My Thoughs

Greetings and Hello My Ducks Fans Brethren. It's a Road pave with Adversity,Questions and sometimes mistakes that were costly our Ducks in the battles they face against Calgary,Winnipeg and Chicago. Yet we overwhelm both previous teams with our Scoring,Hits and RUTHLESS AGGRESSION in winning First Round and 2nd Round. Chicago has proven to be a tough test for our Team. We know it was never easy nor a cakewalk and they have Proven that each game the Ducks battle and went toe to toe with 3 games going into OT. Before the Playoffs began many Sports Pundits showed no respect for the Ducks. They say we will be out in first round. We Prove them Wrong. They say we will be out in 2nd Round. Yet we prove them Wrong......There is a Long History within our team we have proven Sports Pundits,Naysayers,Other NHL Fans,Trolls and others wrong by Defying their "Words" and "Predictions". It boils down to this edition of the Ducks being hungry wanting it more and Making their Mark in Team History. Each Game I see and look at the Players i see a Generation of Ducks Players....Hungry,Eager and ready to Prove themselves in 2015 Playoffs. From Matte Beleskey and Ryan Kesler to Stellar Plays of Freddie and Youthful Energy of Ducks Defence Corps. This Team is Ready for what will be a Test of Will,Character and Determination. IF we are to Push through and Reach the Stanley Cup Final Ducks Must Impose their Will,Dominate Chicago from when Puck Drops to when Buzzer sounds. As you all know Mean I always beleive in knowing the history of one's team that makes a Ducks Fan truly different then other NHL Teams is seeing History or milestones reach or broken. Anaheim Ducks and President's Trophy another Milestone?

As I write our Ducks are approaching endgame of their 14-15 season..Clinching 11th Stanley Cup Playoff Berth in their History and 3rd Straight Pacific Division Title as we speak due to fate tonite. One thing that is on everyone's mind President's Trophy,awarded to the Team with Best Record in Hockey it has some dubious Distinction as some of NHL Teams who have earn this trophy has a tendency to not win it. Much has been made bout teams winning it some think it's a Jinx others a curse... since a team has won it have not done well in Stanley Cup Playoffs since trophy was introduce in 1985-86 season. Other Ducks fans I have comments on Ducks Message Board,Facebook and Twitter realize it would be important for the team to focus on Stanley Cup then the Trophy for being Regular season Champ. some within Ducks fanbase beleive it will be a best thing for our Team another Historic First for the Ducks in their young History. Whether they win it or not imho I rather would have the Ducks focus on Winning the Stanley Cup then President's Trophy...Yes I am superstitious and I understand views of many Ducks fans some feel it's wise not the focus on Prez Trophy...Others see it as Symbolic Milestone showing the Hockey World we are the BEST. I won't lie to you all I am indifferent towards President's Trophy and say IF the Ducks Clinch President's Trophy....I will be happy to accept this team is Best in Regular Season yet Main Goal for all Ducks fans should not lose Sight of the Main Goal. Ducks Push for the Stanley Cup Playoffs:No easy Path

No one likes to see our Team go on losing skid....yet it happens. Losing to NYR and CBJ not only stings as many Losses Ducks have endure in the past and prior games. bad timing for us in seeing this team not only give up 12 goals combine but lose ground to our Rivals as 14=15 Seasons winds down to a Close. AllL Ducks need is make it official to Clinch their 11th Stanley Cup Playoff Berth. We as Ducksfans know the message for the Players is NOT Get Comfortable with where they are. 7 games left and the teams they face down either Fight for a Playoff Spot or have nothing to lose since some have nothing to fight for cept another season to look forward to. Issues remain on Ducks Message Board,facebook and Twitter ranging from Coaching to Line juggling to whether Lineups are set yet fro the Ducks Stanley Cup Playoff Quest. One thing I beleive certain is our team MUST BE READY on all positions be it Forward,Goaltending and Defence Corps. I rather see Ducks win by no more then 5 goal leads rather then 1. Why you ask it's Clear Ducks strength imho must be offense and should be 219 is good but Defence should work well in cutting the number of GA allowed or get through them by our Rivals and Enemies. Most Certainly we should look at this as nothing more then a Bump in the road yet as I said prior posts in Ducks Message Board and elsewhere...Nothing is easy and Road to the Stanley Cup will be Tough. As the Push for the Stanley Cup Quest continues Let's not forget our Team is destine for Greatness and fact they overcome adversary to achieve their Goal. Whatever happens from here and now is Either US being Ducks and Ducks fans alike or Them be it Rivals,Enemies and Opposing teams that stand in our Way. Ducks Trade deadline Deals:My Thoughs

Surprised or Not If one knows our team well as we do it's the Ducks have always a tendency to stand pat or make small deals that equal Big rewards. Deals we see was a result of the Ducks addressing needs on Defence Corps and adding skill to the Left Wing. In Doing so we saw 6 players 5 new faces and one familiar returning to our Ducks. At first Heading into the Trade Deadline I would not be surprise and I admit the Ducks would stand pat seeing the rivals and some enemies improve. You see big name players change teams,Picks swapped back and forth. And Players rumored the Ducks are interested going to other teams in NHL West and East. Out of the 6 players New to the Ducks One we recognize and know by his first Tour with Anaheim years Prior. James Wisniewski aka "The Wiz gives us a right hand shot in Defence Corps but someone familiar other players within the Ducks roster in helping us by moving the puck,create Offensive chances and help improve Special Teams. Getting Wiz was not easy imho Ducks trading William Karlsson aka "Wild Bill" was perhaps tough to some but necessary in improving our team once the Stanley Cup Quest Begins in April. In a Perfect World and knowing the Ducks M.O they do "develop within" the players they drafted who excel in wearing the Ducks D and the Mighty Ducks Logo. like the old saying I say on Ducks Message Board "Players Come and Go" Wild Bill like DSP were traded not because they were bad but needed to gain upgrades and improve the team as whole. All I can say like I said on Ducks MB and Facebook is Best of Luck William and DSP on your NHL Career,Good Luck. Wiz returning to the Ducks is not the only time team has traded or signed for players who got the first start with the Ducks examples of this are Francios Beauchemin,Joffery Lupul,Stu Grimson,Oleg Teverdosky,Ilya Bryzgalov and Anotoli Sememnov. It's no strange thing nor odd Ducks would get a Familiar face back...Usually one can say it's to correct a Mistake or bring a Vet who knows the Ducks System and Help Guide the Ducks Hockey Youth in knowing the ways to Win and Excel. Another Player a Big D-man Simon Despres caught eye when it was announce Ducks Traded Ben Lovejoy for him. At first like many within Ducks Fanbase in Orange County Ca and elsewhere i was sadden to see Ben go and though he had a place with the team. Ducks Front Office saw eitherwise yet I was not only please but Happy Ducks got Simon in Return. You see Let me be Honest and Clear.......I have to really admit but I wanted the Ducks to trade for him by sending Bobby Ryan to Pittsburgh. Yes you heard it right from this Die Hard Passionate Ducks fan. I want the Ducks to get Despres. Watching win the MEM Cup and seeing him with the SeaDogs at the Q. I wonder what would be like if the team can get Despres a 6-4 214 pounds he can develop well for the Ducks just like others who did when the Ducks swung a Deal and got big Rewards..ie Giguere Traded in 2000. Other New Arrivals like Korbinain Holzer,Tomas Fleischmann and Jiri Sekac gives our Ducks a mix of Youth and Experince that mix can be benefical to the Ducks Cause as it did for 8 years ago. Now we wait,See and Hope how will it pan out for Anaheim Ducks as a whole. What started as many within Ducks Nation thinking it would be another Ho-Hum Trade Deadline day turns out to be a Big Gain for the Ducks. Ducks Expanded Sphere of Influence:San Diego Gulls,NHL Trade Deadline

As We witness Feb22nd 2015 in San Diego was not only a historic moment and symbolic in unveiling of the name of our Ducks new Farm team. It was Dream that was a decade in the making,many Ducks fans Especially those in Orange County Califorina wonder,waited and ask why will our Ducks bring AHL Farm team closer to home. Ducks themselves have made it no secret over the past years they wanted to move their Farm team out west. Years of Ducks Affiliate bounce around from Portland Maine,Cincy Ohio to Iowa and of course Noforlk in the East Coast lead to questions on when the Ducks or any West Coast NHL Team can move their Farm team close it's matter of time when words become action. It came to no surprise for us all when the Ducks name their New Farm team San Diego Gulls...Nice gesture with some symbolic link to the Ducks signalling the Alliance between the Parent Club and new Farm team at home. Certainly alot of Ducks fans will be interested no Eager to see the Future of the Ducks by traveling the MetroLink not far from the Ponda instead of checking up on the score in the East Coast at noon. Or Traveling to see Ducks Future. Yet I must give credit where Credit is due to the Pirates,Admirals, and prior Farm clubs that have groom and Develop many of the Ducks Future in the past from Getzlaf and Perry to Giguere with one season in Cincy. This moment truly marks a milestone for the team we love....give Credit to Henry and Susan Samueli on making this mission be accomplish. Kudos to Henry and Susan for growing the sport of Hockey and Increasing the Ducks Fanbase. We know when it comes to D-Day Ducks M.O has and always been well....how do I put it this way...So-So and Silent. Sometimes Minor Trades they make pays off dividends sometimes it don't. Examples of Trades that pay off for Ducks in General was 2003 NHL Trade Deadline in Aquiring Steve Thomas and before that Sandis Ozolinsh...4 years later it was Brad May. Those were a few most recently Ducks Traded DSP for Jiri Sekac.....a Hockey Deal you say not only benefits both players but Ducks and Montrel sending two youth who may want a chance to be reinvigorated. I know it's been a little late discussing Prior season but Let's not forget the Ducks are not only the Top Team in the NHL be it League,Western Conference and Pacific Division. 32-10-6 70pts They are on pace maybe Breaking prior Club Records a year prior. Yet We must remeber Events that has lead our Ducks to where they are now. From Teemu Selanne's farewell Tour,Staduim Series involving Ducks vs LA first outdoor in Socal to Kesler arrival to the Ducks. Let's not forget Ducks changing Uni's to Breaking 7 year old Club recors for most Wins and Pts. The Team had some Ups and Downs it was reflection of Ducks 20th Anniversary we remember Ducks Past,Appreciate the Present and Hope for the Future. Lost to our Enemy LA still stings to this day and Seeing Selanne and the Ducks fall short was something hard for us to endure and see. 5 events stood out for the team and these five events give us Hope,Apperication and Pride knowing the Ducks are on the right track to set things right.Dedication along with redemption and Passion for vengance to avenge the Loss to LA and turn things around is what's motivating the Ducks. With the All star break over and Teemu Tribute night entrench and fused in our Minds,Hearts and Soul here on are top 6 events that shape 2013-2014 Ducks Anniversary season: 1.Teemu Selanne's Farewell Tour: Ducks Legend and Icon We knew it was time for him to Move on and even though he Deserves a Better fate on Ice his deeds outweigh more then what happen during Ducks-LA 7 Game war on Ice. 2.Stadium Series 2014: Another first for the Ducks and another Chapter written in the Battle with LA. It Proves Hockey can work in SoCal and in Warm Weather so once Again Hockey Fans be it Ducks Fans or fans of the other two NHL Teams in Cali prove Hockey works. 3.Ryan Kesler Trade:Need we say More folks....his arrival made a BIG Difference right now. Ducks Want a No2 Center and they got him in exchange for Sbisa and Bonino. 4.J-S Giguere and George Parros: Both Players contribute so Much to the Ducks First Stanley Cup Championship. For Parros we know him as the Enforcer whose Deeds off the ice is greater on the Ice. As for Giggy? what can one say bout our Alltime Leader in Ducks Goalie Wins,Shutouts,SV%....etc It was you can say another Moment of a Changing of the guard. 5.New Look Same Dedication:Ducks Debuting New Uni's was something and evolving of our team's Unique look. 6.Ducks 20th Anniversary Home Opener:Honoring the Orignal Ducks from Guy Herbert and Stu Grimson to Bobby Dollas and Troy Loney It's Great to Remeber the Past Players and Contributions of Ducks Players who left their Mark. 7.Ducks Repeat as Pacific Division Champions: If there is one Positive we experience Ducks earn a 2nd straight Pacific Division Title in 2014. 8.Club Records have Fallen: Be it Most Wins and Points to emerging one of the Best Edition the Ducks have assemble. Even though they fell Short one can tell our Team has Purpose and Dedication to Complete their Stanley Cup Quest. 9.Emergence of Fredick Andersen and John Gibson:Future is Bright for Ducks Goaltending with Big Fred and Gibby emerging as the Ducks two best Goalie Options. It lead to the team choosing the two over former Duck Jonas Hillier. 10.Ducks Draft Ritchie:Getting BPA is always be a Clinche and the Ducks getting Nic who has that drive let alone talking to Local Ducks fans last year shows our Ducks done their homework. As we look forward we always cherish and Remember how make the Ducks unique not just in US,Canada,Finland,Sweden and beyond but in Orange County Califorina,Austriala and elsewhere. We knew this day will come,Many of us among the Ducks Nation be it Message Board,Facebook,Twitter,Instagram. Many of us knew Historic moment was coming once the Ducks Announce they will honor one of their Greatest Players to wear the Ducks D/Mighty Ducks Logo of all time. Many of us before Ducks 20th Anniversary season ended on a sad note wanted Teemu to Win One more before his Career ended. yet It was not the case as the Ducks Fell short to a Hated Enemy. To many he is known and Praised as Class Act,Hockey Ambassador and Well Respect among the Hockey World. To all Ducks fans be it Die-Hards and Avid Fanatics Teemu is Ducks Legend,Icon and Finish Hockey Hero He earn it with his contributions to the Ducks Cause and advancing Sphere of Influence in not only Socal but Hockey Worldwide. Sunday Night will be a Special moment for us all,There will be Emotions,Reflections on Teemu. His Timely Goals,Assists,Points and Moments he has created that forever in our Hearts,Minds and Soul cemented forever. He Exemplify what it means to be a Ducks Hockey Player,His Deeds were extraordinary inspire us in through our Lives as we live each moment to the Fullest. Number 8 he wore as he did with the Ducks D/MD Logo with Distinction,Honor and Pride. Reflecting back from the Time he arrive to the Ducks in Feb 7th 1996 to him Winning the Stanley Cup on June 6th 2007 We should appreciate and Smile he has done so much for the Ducks that we still to this Day speak of it happen like other Events many Ducks fans live that Moment and still feel the Joy of witnessing it.I Remember watching TSN in Feb 7th of 1996 announcing the Ducks Traded for Teemu Selanne....It shook the Hockey World especially made Ducks a 1-2 Scoring Punch It lead to us to Dream,Wonder and Know soon Ducks will gain Prominence as they did when they Aquire Him. Forever We will honor and Remember his career,Contributions as a Duck...He is our Great 8 and forever He is one of our Ducks Legends. I know as many of you understand we wanted Teemu to Win one Last Stanley Cup before he Retires But Hanging his Number 8 to the Rafters of the Ponda.
