Anaheim Ducks:2016 Year in Review...HAPPY NEW YEAR

With the Final Game concluded with a Ducks OT Loss, It leaves many of us with Reflection of this year. Ducks began 2016 by overcoming adversity when they were ranked 29th in the League and by end of 15-16 Claimed a Fourth straight Pacific Division Title. However as Much as we celebrated Ducks Latest Perseverance...They fell short by losing a Game 7 for 4th Straight Year. It was tough, Demoralizing and Devastating many including myself hope it would not happen But it did. Others personally Feel Ducks lack Killer Instinct or accountability....One thing that many of us know well First Round Loss to Nashville in Game 7 was the Toughest to endure in recent History.Worst was Ducks not saluting Ducks Fans that have come to see them Play...I have mixed views on that...I believe they should've salute Ducks Fans it's a respect thing...Not doing it send a wrong message. On other Hand Ducks Not saluting was in part they felt they had the momentum but lack the effort to execute Winning Strategy and impose their will for 4th straight Year.

Loss result in many changes well few. Core Group of Getzlaf,Perry,Fowler,Kesler and few others remain. Surprising though Ducks did not choose to sign Perron,McGinn or Stewart....to Be Honest It would have been vital Ducks have kept Perron or McGinn Losing those 2 lead to many among Ducks Nation and the Fanbase to whether a Trade for a Left Winger is needed to spread out Offense and Spark it. Loss to Nashville was last Straw for the Ducks who via Bob Murray Fired Bruce Bouderau weeks after Ducks fail to Win a Game 7. I can't blame the team for doing what they did Accountability must be held and Coach was first to go.

Coaching vacancy left many to wonder who will succeed and be Ducks 9th Coach...names ranging from Former Duck Travis Green to Former Ducks Coach Randy Carlyle have many hoping and eager Ducks to hire a Coach to snap out of Playoff Funk and restore Honor to the Ducks Name. Ducks GM Bob Murray decided from what OCregister has stated as he talk to Getzlaf,Perry and Ducks Legend Teemu Selanne need to hold people accountable. It was Very Shocking let alone a Big Surprise Ducks Re-hire Randy Carlyle to succeed his Successor....This mark a First time Ducks have hired a Former Coach to lead the team back to Greatness. Ducks Fans including myself had mixed blessings having RC Back. Many critics of RC felt his Old School tactics and methods were out of touch for todays NHL, which is young Mans league and the need for speed is vital to winning a Game. Others felt a familar hand was needed to guide the Ducks in hoping to regain Honor lost during 4 years of Game 7 heartbreaks. Eitherway all of Ducks Fans including myself will tolerate it as did many changes that were polarizing.

Carlyle's return was not only change Ducks did to ensure a repeat of What happen last season happen before...However the arrival of Vegas to the NHL hung like a cloud of the Ducks Head...They know that keeping 2 Goalies they might have to protect one and lost another to Expansion Draft..Without a doubt Ducks Choose to Trade Frederick Andersen to Toronto for Picks. Leaving John Gibson Opportunity to Claim No1 Ducks Goaltender Spot. To Help him Develop Ducks AGAIN Trade for Johnathan Bernier from.........You guess it Toronto.

Reactions from Ducks fans were 50/50. Many few John Gibson was not Ready and should not been given the Ducks No1 Spot..Some feel Gibson SHOULD be the One traded in order to get a Player of value in return. Others see Gibson as Ready and able to assume the role and leave his mark for the Ducks. As I say before This season and his New Role is his to lose. Let's Forget Ducks Signing Antoninne Vermette and the Swedish Duo of Lindholm and Rakell's long dragging Contract talks. As follow here are the top 5 Moments Ducks had went through in 2016.


1.Bruce Bouderau Fired/Ducks Rehiring Randy Carlyle
2.Ducks Traded Fredrick Andersen to Toronto Maple Leafs for 1st Round Draft Picks

5.Ducks Won 4th Straight Pacific Division Title after Perservaing from disasterous first Half of NHL Season 15-16.

2017 will be symbolic year for our Ducks...it may be a year we see"meh" but it will mark 10 years ago Ducks Won the Stanley Cup....to me and to all 2017 will mark 10 years after we celeberate "The Year of the Duck". Anaheim Ducks at 33 Games,17-12-5 39pts:My Likes and Concerns

Hello again it's the One and only Ducks Fan Zealot...Just wanna say it's great to be back Posting my Blog. Most of you wonder why I was gone so long...or even Cared. A Situation arose about a Month which lead me to cancel my Trip to see the Ducks This year,it's something I will not get into due in part cause its personal to me and I don't think most of you would understand.

Anyways Back to the Ducks in General. 2 Months has past and at 33 games our Team is at 17-12-5 39pts. No surprise this team has been inconsistent Slow starts has been Ducks M.O since their Founding. I am pleased very well with Cam Fowler's Performance, his Stats 9 Goals 13Assists 22pts this Campaign has made me Glad we did not trade Him once Lindholm and Rakell signed on the Dotted line. Another Positive that I am pleased with is surprise Rise of Joseph Cramarossa,Ondrej Kase and few others have made me very Happy with the Players at this moment of the season. There was a Trade......a Minor one that saw Sgarbossa traded to Florida for Logan Shaw. Personally Happy Ducks got a Player Who i watch was a decent 3rd liner who could grind it out...Plus i Did mention he is Nova Scotia ;). However I am abit concern with lack of effort and miscues I see...Notably from our Defence Corps and the fact in 2nd Period once was the Ducks Strength in imposing their will,now it seems they are lacking that killer intense that they had last season...some of the Losses they endure be it 8-3 to Calgary,Losing to Detroit 6-4 after a 3-1 Lead makes us Concern and frustrating. Many of us including myself seek answers and point fingers.

I cannot blame most of you for Ducks having Randy Carlyle back at the Helm...His 2nd Tour of Duty with our team has been....So-So at best. Goaltending situation is debatable... Ducks Trading Freddie Andersen leaving John Gibson to earn a Number 1 Spot has many Ask and I will not disagree whether Gibson is READY to inherit the Role. Others believe Bernier should given the Spot due to his Experience. Worries me sometimes on Inconsistencies that has been plaguing the Ducks. Yet I am optimistic at the Ducks regaining some Ground Once they reach the Halfway mark in 16-17 Season....If Ducks History tells us it's majority of the seasons and years they have battle they have earn a spot in Stanley Cup Playoffs and prove people,Naysayers,Doubters and Hockey Pundits Wrong.

Whether Ducks can overcome Inconsistencies and set things right by going on a Winning streak of more then 3 GAMES...Remain to be Seen. One thing I am firm Believer is HONOR demands and request Ducks must set things right in the New Years.

Ducks 2016-2017 season:Quest for Redemption and Opening Night!

So.....IT BEGINS no more talking,no more predictions,No More Assumptions. Time is NOW for the Ducks to Put WORDS into Action,Promises into Reality and Redemption included into Quest for the Stanley Cup. Summer is over and I am EAGER and FIRED UP as ALL OF YOU for Puck to Drop and Ducks be ready to go. Tonite we will see 24th Edition Assembled this week with a Randy Carlyle as Head Coach and few new Faces from Vermette,Boll and Bernier to Familiar ones in recent return of Emerson Etem. Speculate all we want in where Ducks will finish, We won't know yet or how this team will do in first 15 games. What we expect and hope is Ducks from Goaltending to Forwards and Defence stand united and Rise together. Main Goal is Stanley Cup it never change nor it never will since the Founding. Even though our Ducks won it in 2007...it remains the Same. However their is a added theme to this. It's Redemption not only for the Ducks themselves but for ALL Ducks Fans who endure like our team 4 year Game 7 Losing streak. YES it stings and it Stings when they left the Ice not saluting nice that Night....It remains in our Hearts and Souls. Once Game 1 Begins Ducks must use what happen as not only motivation to fuel the Hunger inside them. But the Goal of Redemption in cleansing ourselves of the Game 7 Flaws. Experince is there,Youth is there and with Ducks standing Together United...Collective Will must prove they are Strong and Reliable.

All Depends on 3 things 1.John Gibson:How will he do as Ducks Number he has his critics and on Opening Night he must show some within Ducks Nation that he is the Real Deal. Yes we have concerns bout his Health and IF he can be the Ducks Goaltending of the Future. 2.Randy Carlyle:Will he bring our Ducks back to Greatness?...Who knows his "Rehiring" is questionable be some while other welcome him back. It remains to be seen whether his 2nd Tenure will duplicate the success he had in his first Tenure...Guess we will wait and see. 3.Swedish Duo needs to be Re-signed NOW: I know as many of you are annoyed,disappointed and frustrated Ducks did not re-signed both Hampus Lindholm and Rickard Rakell during the offseason. We have been Patient and it has ended. How and when the Ducks re-sign this offseason hopefully soon....having them not in Lineup has been well Disappointing.

We can be Doom and Gloom But I beleive all of us should be hopeful and Optimistic for Ducks to avenge their honor and restore it. Whatever happens from here till Game 82 or what Place our Ducks will Finish we must support them and STAND Together UNITED. WE WILL RISE AS DO OUR DUCKS NO MATTER WHAT!...ANAHEIM DUCKS 4EVER!

4 Days till Ducks Hockey: Excitment and Eagerness

It's almost here Yes in 4 Days..FOUR Days till our Ducks are ready to be UNLEASHED,Focus on Redemption in the quest for Stanley Cup. I know what many of you thinking right now before Preseason concludes tonite. Some of you are hopeful,others uncertain with how things are going be it Carlyle's Return or slow dragging process in the Impasse that is Signing Lindholm and Rakell. I am Stoked beyond Happiness and Yes I am optimistic.....But we must not lose sight of Accountability within the Ducks themselves. Bob Murray imho has dragged his feet and not done ENOUGH in retooling the team in the Summer. We waited Patiently for the Swedes to be Res-signed!,That did not happen....Stoner was Waived yet was not traded. Makes me wonder if we are ready to tackle our rivals and Enemies for 16-17 season. Whether we have Lindholm or Rakell or Both in the Lineup Who knows. IF Ducks don't have the 2 in Lineup for Opening Night we may see some Young Guns getting a chance to make their Mark. Many of us expected and hope Theodore,Ritchie and Noesen make the team this year. But it seem not the case with Noesen and Theodore being assigned to San Diego many were surprised by this. For Me I was taken aback by this later found out why from hearing Jacob Larrson 19 years old and Nick Sorensen making some good impressions with the Ducks Coaching Staff and few Ducks Fans among us.

Let me say this on how this Edition of the Ducks will look like. We will see some Youth on the Roster who with absence of the Swedes be given a spot they earn in Training Camp. It's going to be exciting to see these kids not only prove themselves....But make their Mark for the Ducks Cause. We will see Veterans eager and ready to redeem themselves Hopefully for the LAST Time. Don't get me started but I want to see Veterans take Leadership and be one to lead the Charger in redemption. Wiping the Slate clean and hitting the ground running would be Beneficial in the Ducks no meet the fate they had last year. With all that has been said and done I just can't wait for the Ducks to Start dishing out Punishment, Who knows what the Roster will do this season But I know for sure I am FIRED UP and PSYCHED for the Ducks to be UNLEASHED.

October has Arrived!:Tough Decison lay ahead

12 Days till Puck Drops on 16-17 Season. We are 12 Days till our Ducks will be unified,assembled and UNLEASHED upon the NHL and our Enemies. Yet Still we face another task or should I say questions before Ducks begin their Quest for the Stanley Cup and Redemption. Impasse with Swedish Duo{Hampus Lindholm and Rikard Rakell} is dragging on to a point that many are wondering what it will Take to get them signed and under the Ducks Salary Cap. News of our team willing to unload a contract to a NHL East Team should come to no surprise due in part in order for the Ducks to get both Swedes Sign. Chances of getting Draft Picks IF the Ducks trade a Player is great due in part Season will begin One Week....So Time is slowly ticking and we await what 24th Edition of Anaheim Ducks would look like on Oct13th. Many of us including myself know the Ducks to get this roster ready Trading a Defencemen as many feel right now Clayton Stoner or Cam Fowler is justified in order for the team to Get Number Left Winger and give the Ducks some scoring punch 2nd after the Twins is important to spread the Offense abit more.As Much as Speculation rums rampant and Predictions on where the Ducks will Finish are mixed among Ducks Fans. We agree on one thing in comes to our Team....Win the Stanley Cup and Restore Honor to the Ducks Cause.

We deal with ups and Downs,Highs and Lows,Wins or Losses over the previous seasons/Years. What I see looking at the Players who came through Trades,Signings and Draft is a team ready,Hunger and Eager for the Season to Begins. As the Preseason continues Let's be Real and honest........Trades are going to Happen and whoever the Ducks trade we must understand that players Come and Go but our team must always comes first. IF the DUCKS Do get Picks expect this some of our young Guns will get a chance. Theodore,Ritchie heck in Stefan Nosen. I can also say personally that whatever Happens All Ducks Fans should support the team. Whether you are living in Orange County Califorina or out of the Country say Finland,Sweden,Russia or here in Canada. We stand by this team and we hope for the Best.

Gathering of the Ducks:2016 Training Camp Questions!

20 Days till Puck Drops for the Ducks who will be unleashed for 2016-2017 Season. Many Ducks Fans including yours Truly knows very well Ducks hockey is almost there and it's that Time of year again. As we await The Start of the Gathering as I always called it. We are eager for this Team to hit the Ice and we know from the Ducks Training Camp Roster Players from previous season and some Prospects will be attending of what I see is Stage 1 of Ducks Assembling 24th Edition of the Anaheim Ducks. Many Questions,Concerns and others wonder what will this team look like....Many Question as we begin looking forward to 16-17 Campaign. When will Hampus Lindholm and Rikard Rakell re-sign?. That has been a question all Ducks Fans have asked for the entire summer. With Patience slowly fading.....many wonder How Long this is going to take or IF they are going to show up. If anyone has taken a look at the Ducks Training Camp Roster, Swedish Duo's name not on the List has some express Concerns with many having fears of them being hold outs during Training Camp. But we have to look at other side and reasons why both may not be at Training Camp besides speculation of them not Re-signing.

1.Rakell is recovering from surgery on scare tissues from his appendectomy which requires 2 weeks for him to recover. 2.Lindholm is busy in contributing to Team Sweden who are in World Cup of Hockey Semifinals. Whether they advance remains to be Seen. Another Question that is ask by us all is Randy Carlyle....Will the Only Coach in Ducks History restore Greatness back to the Ducks Cause?. As far as we won't know how our Ducks will do well under return of a Previous Ducks Head Coach. One thing we all want is Carlyle to get our team back to the top by not only have a strong Start from start to finish...But Snapping th 4 straight Game 7 losses that still fresh in our Memory.


Carlyle's has his critics and supporters, yet we can agree on a simple Fact that RC has contributed to the Ducks Winning the Stanley Cup in 2007. Other Questions appear at Training Camp is justified....."What place will the Ducks Finish?", "Will Ducks Make a Trade?" and"Will some of the Ducks Young Guns earn a spot on the Roster"?...Those are few out of Many that Ducks Fans have for our team. Regardless of who will make it to the Team and what 24th Edition of our Ducks will look like. One thing I beleive we all share is Optimism of knowing in our Hearts this team can not only do better but realize the Potential in Winning the Series and finishing off our Enemies. a Little FYI to all Ducks Fans reading this...last Game 7 our Ducks Won was in 2006....Last Game 7 Ducks won at HOME...1997. So IMHO it's time we Break that SLUMP or I prefer to call it Cold.

Remembering Ruslan Salei

Not day,week,Month or even year goes by thinking bout one of the Former Ducks Defencemen who wore the Mighty Ducks Logo with honor and Pride. Ruslan Salei or many of us Ducks Fans call him "Rusty". We can all say that his passing and tragedy of Lokomotiv Yarsoslavl Plane Crash on Sep7th 2011 not only affected many Ducks Fans including our Ducks in General...But Hockey Fans worldwide. Players including Rusty have play with teams that have connections to NHL,AHL,KHL and other leagues.......It was Fan's worst nightmare losing not only Players but entire Coaching Staff. But Salei's Passing had a tremendous effect on Ducks Fanbase and in Orange County California. Not only Ducks Lost a Former Player but a Wife lost a Husband and Son lost a Father that Terrible Day. No Words describe the numbness knowing that not only Ruslan Salei but Players we know well had their lives cut short...... I believe it's a symbolic Duty for all Ducks fans to Honor Rusty's Life and Contributions to the Ducks Cause...Me Personally it hit me hard that a Player during the Ducks Early Years was gone.


Ruslan Salei was Drafted in 2996 NHL Entry Draft out of IHL's Las Vegas Thunder at 9th Overall of 1st Round of that year's Draft. Born in Nov 2nd 1974 in Minsk,Belarus...Rusty Choose to play in Hockey in North America for the Las Vegas Thunder in 96-97 season...It was during that single season with then now Defunct team at the time he wast scouted by the then-Mighty Ducks who drafted him in the Top Ten. You can say "Rest is History" But History always his story to Tell. From his Hits on Opposing Rivals to scoring important goals in 2003 Stanley Cup Playoffs.


There is so many people who I read,watch and see how Rusty has touched their lives in many different ways. I choose to Honor his Memory by always picking him as part of Ducks All-time team and always love that Goal he scored to give our Ducks momentum was something I cherish....perhaps you all share the sentiment too. One thing that makes me think of him is his Family....Bethann Salei and her 3 childern including the youngest who I really Hope will know how lucky she is to have father who was not only a one of best Ducks D-men but a great guy to be with. We should choose to remeber Ruslan for not only his Days with the Ducks but with teams he played on...be it Detroit and Florida. But we should remeber him for a Father to Aleksandro,Alexis and Ava. Husband to Bethann. For Memories and choosing to Honor Ruslan is important duty to all DUCKSFANS to cherish his memory and honor him dearly.....*Raise Glass* Here's to YOU RUSTY!

Ducks Youth:Sky's the Limit

One thing that we should not lose focus or Faith in once Puck Drops on Oct13th. is Possibly and it's Highly Realistic with depth within the ranks of our team. Nic Ritchie,Shea Theodore and maybe Stefan Nosesn are Ready for the NHL. I Know Ducks will give them a Look and a shot to earn a spot on Ducks Roster this year. Stats for these 3 tells us they are willing and able to take that Next Leap towards contributing to the Ducks Cause. Ritchie's 16goals,14assists 30pts is a first step and perhaps He's eager to prove he belongs with the Big Club. Theodore's Stats 9goals 28 Assist 37pts add to the fact he was call by our Ducks playing 19 games with 3 goals 5assists 8pts and positive feedback many Ducks Fans who I think many at the Ducks Front Office feel Theodore can make that Jump once Puck Drops on Oct13th. Stefan Noesen is another Player coming back from injury and answering with 10goals 22assists 32pts gives us a Player who with shear determination got back from Injury to show his Resilience gives hope to see him in a Ducks Uni maybe this season or the Next. Either way all 3 of our young Guns are suited and ready to take the leap. The Talent of these 3 are examples of what call "Developing within".

A Phrase I coin in regards to Ducks molding and preparing Next Generation of Ducks to inherit their role in advancing the Ducks Quest to Win the Stanley Cup. It's been done before with guys like Mike Leclerc,Vitaly Vishnevski,Martin Gerber and others over the 24 years. Could we see these 3 seize the moment only 2 things can happen. 1 Ducks re-sign Hampus and Rikard to long term deals and Trade Fowler or 2. Trade Fowler for Picks and a Cheap Player and re-sign Swedish Duo to Long Term. Either way Don't be surprise if 1 or all 3 will seize the chance to be a Regular on the Ducks roster.

Trade or Not to Trade?

That Question has been bounce around for months now,speculation who Ducks will get in return is often rampant.Reason being is Ducks need to improve on the Left Wing which was address and spoken by Bob Murray during the Summer. Let's be Honest our Ducks Roster as Training Camp aka "The Gathering" approach is by far INCOMPLETE. I wonder at first why lack of action why the Ducks did not pull the Trigger when Trade speculation was brought up with Buffalo at This years NHL Draft....but Nothing Happen and wait started Free Agent Frenzy till now. Then it occur to me and others within Ducks Fanbase for the Ducks to Trade they must...YES you guess it and know wait for Lindholm and Rakell to re-sign. Meaning Trade will be Delay Once the Swedish duo sign a New Deal, should i say IF they do. As Days turn to weeks and few months we are left to speculate who we have as Trade Bait and what our Ducks could get in return. Names thrown about like Fowler or Despres,Stoner and Prospect pops up on Message Boards. Many Ducks fans from Ducks MB,Facebook,Twitter and beyond. Debate and disagreements aside we should look at the Trade Front with a Outlook that give our Ducks YES our TEAM a Positive Advantage. Many in Hockey World and fans of 29 to 30 teams know Ducks abundance of Defencemen has been envy of teams in the League. Depth or as I call "Strength in Numbers" is something to smile........

But we know we can't keep all of them. To answer the team's Needs. Chances for the Ducks to get a Scoring Left Wing to complement Getzlaf and Perry. Ducks are link in trades Scenarios with Detroit,Edmonton,New Jeresy and Boston. Looking at the Left Wingers of these four teams several players I see can fit into the our team Some I see on Ducks First Line others perhaps 3rd or fourth. Considering influx of Youth Ducks will have there's nothing wrong in injecting some experience. Tomas Tatar,Brad Marchand and Jordan Eberle are names that spark my interest...Mostly Tatar's name is popping namely for a Fowler Trade.


But as we approach 24th season. Ducks know full well some teams need a Defensemen in order to address their Needs. So as Much as we discuss which player is to our likely Ducks must NO DEMAND what they want in order for these teams to who want a Defensemen they desire and wanted. You see Demands Ducks should make is simple a Scoring Left Winger,First Round Draft Pick and Prospect....That is what our team should want no more no less. IF there is NO trade and Let say Swedish Duo sign for let say a Home Discount?....then expect our team to go a "Develop within" Route in giving Ritchie,Thedore and Wager a Chance to succeed and Prove their mark. Whatever Happens we know Ducks must NOT let a Repeat of what happen last season. For now we Wait!

Vermette Signing:Good Pickup

The Addition of Vermette has calm things down among Ducks Fans who are Please with this Signing, hopes it leads to Rakell and Lindholm following suite. As The Gathering aka Training Camp begins in few weeks.....Having Antoine wearing the Ducks D will ensure Less Anxiety we have as we get closer to Ducks 2016-2017 season. His Stats speaks for what he can do for This team in general. Experience in several Stanley Cup Playoffs including Double OT Winner versus the Ducks in 2015 Western Conference Final and Facing off nearly a decade ago in 2007 Stanley Cup Final would benefit the Young Guns coming up within our Team's Rank-and-File. When I first heard Ducks Signing him I was thrilled with so much uncertainty heading into 2016-2017 NHL Season. Ducks Fans like most who follow them deserve to have some Good News for a Change. But we should not get ourselves work up in a frenzy. Vermette is one player there is STILL Work needs to be done. Waiting for Lindholm and Rakell to sign is by all means bothersome at times. Yet we MUST be Patient for there is STILL time left for this team to assemble once the Gathering begins next Month. Left Wing Position still needs to be address...

Time and time again many speculate on whether a Trade or another Free agent Signing can solve the Ducks Achilles heel. Don't be surprise and it should not to all Ducks Fans within Ducks Fanbase they will give some of their Youth a chance to earn a spot on Ducks Roster...I call it "Developing within" It's cheap and affordable but it allows those who were Drafted to make their Mark.



IF RC decides to Pair a Young Gun with Vermette rest assure it will be beneficial to that Ducks Prospect once the Puck Drops in Octber. With Him winning a Stanley Cup as do Bernier not mention Getz and Pears there is 4 Stanley Cup Winner who I hope can have positive influence on a team that is looking for Redemption. For the Ducks to sign him it's a Positive Step on the Right Track and I am Eager as we all are to see whats our Ducks Next step in improving and gathering for the Stanley Cup Quest.

Las Vegas Expansion Draft:My Thoughs

When Las Vegas was granted Expansion Franchise in June 22nd many of us knew that having another Rival in Pacific Division would not only create another Front in race for Pacific Division... chance of losing some players in the Expansion Draft ways heavily on the minds of many Ducks Fans when the Rules when set up to give Las Vegas a edge. It's been 16 years since the Ducks lost a Player or 2 when the Last Expansion Draft was held. 2000 Exp Draft the Ducks loss Winger Jeff Nielsen and Prospect that year. 7 Forwards 3 Defencemen and 1 Goaltender....11 Players out of 23 gives our Ducks some time decision on who to Protect and who to leave unprotected. Questions on who to Protect a year from now.....Ducks Defence Corps having the abundance of D-man Las Vegas is watching carefully when 2016-2017 begins. They will be Watching other 29 NHL Teams to see who will fit into their Roster a year from now. Once Las Vegas fields a team next years the affects it has will not only be a ripple in the NHL but AHL and ECHL as well. Take into account Utah is close to Las Vegas...heck it's the State nearby Las Vegas Home states........Grizzlies may want to align with IF they decide to.

It would create a need for the Ducks to move their ECHL Farm team closer....Possibly could be Idaho. Las Vegas will be looking at AHL team either found their Farm team or align with AHL team in the East. we won't know how this Las Vegas team would look like...what we know is our Ducks along with 29 NHL teams are Thinking and strategize and thinking who to Protect. One thing is certain Ducks Youth who have a year or 2 under their Belt as with unsignee Draftees, will be exempt.


It's a Plus and only one in regards to the Rules. Speculating on who to Lose at this Draft which won't happen after 16-17 season is something we should not focus on...a Month from now the Ducks will Gather and how this team will do is our primary Focus. Having another Pacific Division Rival Ducks will Face in the Future creates another Front in which in future seasons will create a rivalry due to 4 hr distance between both our Ducks and New Team in Sin City. Whoever the Ducks lose or Protect a year from now we must accept. It's Life like Ducks Hockey and team sports for we must Move on.

67 Days till Ducks Hockey

Countdown has Began till our Ducks be UNLEASHED,Once the Puck is Drop in October. patience starting to be Thin and talks and wondering who the Ducks will trade to improve the Left Wing becomes a question of how the Ducks will bounce back with a new Blood maybe projected to earn a starting lineup position on this Year's Ducks Roster.......Once has to wonder NO HOW our team will be ready come Oct13th.....Slow well DRAGGED on Process of WHEN Rakell and Lindholm are GOING to Re-sign. OR whether a TRADE is going to Spark Anaheim Ducks once the season Begins, We all know what needs to be done as Days to to Weeks and Months. It's Clear to me and to all who read this be it on Ducks Message Board,Facebook,Twitter and etc is our team MAY once again begin What I always Call "Develop Within" Process or some of you have say "Youth Movement". Looking at Signings of Jared Boll,Manson Raymond and Jeff Schultz along with Nate Guenin makes me wonder if they are giving the NEW Group of Ducks in the System a chance to make their Mark.

IF that is the case we may see a Rough and Tumble 16-17 Season when Ducks assemble 24th Edition of the team. Many are doubtful others are not thrill we seeing the Ducks may struggle other Ducks Fans see with Hope a Hungry,Angry and Determine team Dedicated not only to Reclaim Lost Honor but IF they are in Stanley Cup Playoffs snap the Game 7 Losing Streak...a stain which is a mark on our History as we speak. ENOUGH of our First Round Shortfalls against Nashville. When both Swedes re-sign expect one thing we know our Ducks must Light the Spark in the team That's a Trade.


Departures of Freddie Andersen and arrival of John Bernier has lead us wondering what Bob Murray will do next. So many speculations and questions.......Yet we are STILL Hoping something ANYTHING that will improve our Ducks and give them that edge while our Enemies improve via Trades and Signings. Deep Concerns I have at this sluggish progress and at times Whether our Ducks start strong or Not begins with how this team From Aug till Season Opener will Look like. All we can do is hope no more no less.

World Cup of Hockey:I will be supporting..........

Team North America....You may ask why a Canadian is supporting a team that consists of rookies,sophmores and etc...2 things 1. I always appreciate and love People south of the border embrace the sport I love so much 2. Team NA has both has player from our Anaheim Ducks and My Hometown on the Roster. John Gibson from our Ducks and Nate MacKinnon from my hometown of Dartmouth NS in the Community of Cole Harbour. I know the World Cup of Hockey is not your usual Tourney....Its not held once a year or every four years like Olympics or World Hockey Championships. It's tourney that not only we see the Best in Hockey Representing their Nations at this year's Tourney. Looking at this roster including Gibson and Mackinnon and few others you think with guys like Drouin,Saad,JT Miller.....they would not stand a chance against International's Hockey Big Six(Canada,USA,Finland,Sweden,Russia,Czech Republic). One can count them out but I always like the Underdog and to me It's not just Team North America but Europe as well. IF Team NA can get some wins over the top six at the World Cup we could see some players from Goal tending to Forward make their mark by lighting their career on Fire.


the Players represent not only best of United States and Canada has to offer in Hockey But Futures of NHL Teams that have invested in them...That includes Ducks John Gibson who is our Number 1 Goalie. So as we countdown to 24th season of Ducks Hockey awaiting their quest for not only Stanley Cup, Lets look forward to World Cup of Hockey where Hockey World's best. What we can look is exciting Hockey and see who will be crown World Cup Champion of Hockey. For us Ducks Fans we get see not only some of the Ducks representing their countries but a New Number 1 Goalie will be a starter at this year's World Cup of Hockey. For me personally supporting this team is unique due in part of my respect for Nate Mackinnon and John Gibson.

Lindholhm and Rakell:Waiting should end soon

Days turn to weeks.....then to months since Ducks made headlines. Yet all Ducks Fans including the Ducks are awaiting,speculate and at times vent on WHEN they will Re-sign. How long till both Hampus and Rakell decide to sign on the Dotted line. Ducks as we know quite well understand how important Lindholm and Rakell is to Ducks Cause. Needing them to sign long term is a Beneficial to Ducks quest in reclaiming the Stanley Cup and restoring Honor to Ducks themselves. Stats and performance we have seen not to mention their development has been blessing to watch since both were drafted by the Ducks in their respective years. Hampus in 2012 and Rakell in 2011.....Their Future is Connect to the Ducks Future and whatever adversity we face comes down to 2 factors....


1.Carlyle's Influence on them both. 2.Will they both be Active more with Getz and Pears entering their Prime Years. As we debate how our Ducks will do Let's not lose sight and significance of these 2 players...IF Rakell is ready to find "Common Ground" Let's hope Hampus can find it too. They have shown what they can in their Positions and contributions to the Ducks in General.....Be it Powerplay,Penalty killing and Even Strength. Ducks Offseason Summer

Most Offseasons we wait and at times lose patience while others we are taken aback by Trades big or Small or Free agent Signings. As we await decision of 2 Swedes who will be important to our Ducks Future and the Just Cause of supporting our team in their Quest for the Stanley Cup. We are left wondering,hoping and at times waiting......What our Ducks will Do next. As Days turn to weeks and now Months. We wonder after the Drafting of Ducks Draft Class of 2016 and departures of Perron and McGinn how will Ducks retool and restructure the Team after Summer many of Ducks Fans want in ending the Common Cold that is 4 years of Game 7 Shortfalls and losses. Turnovers was the name thrown out with Players who sign one year from Chris Stewart to Shawn Horcoff and Mike Santorelli. This has stir debate and questions among many within Ducks Fans and worldwide. From our Ducks did not sign big names to how long will Rocky and Hammer sign on the dotted Line.

Finger pointing is around some Blame Bob Murray others see Carlyle's Return as a repellent on why certain Players not wanting to sign with Ducks in General. To Look ahead and see it as big Picture we have to accept the fact possibly Ducks WILL give some of young Bloods a Chance to make their Mark on our Team. First off Let me state honestly we will be seeing young Guys within Ducks Rank-and-File Nic Ritchie,Shea Theodore and others a chance a Opportunity so Golden to prove themselves not only to Ducks Front Office but Ducks Fans themselves be it Watching at Ponda Live or on TV or Listen to Radio be it Internet or Sirius. some call it a "Second" Youth Movement since some spots are in the Opening.


Left Wing and maybe Defence pending a Trade. We know well Ducks need a Strong Left Wing to compliment and take pressure off Getz and Pears. Fact is Ducks have not had a Strong Left Wing Scorer since well......2008 with Chris Kunitz. As we countdown the days till Puck Drop and Gathering of the Ducks aka Training Camp. Whatever coming weeks hold for the Ducks next month comes down to When Lindholm and Rakell re-signed. When it happens we know a Trade will happen in order to Jumpstart and Light a the Spark Ducks need in Redemption. Trade I will cover that in my next Blog Post. Till now we await.

Randy Carlyle's Return and arrival of New Ducks via Draft

This week has been a one of renewal,Reform and of Purpose. Return of Randy Carlyle has many wonder if the Ducks going back to the past would be a key to regain lost Honor and restore Glory to Anaheim Ducks and those of Ducks Nation. Some have question whether having old Hand guide our Ducks back to greatness would work with Carlyle while others feel that someone who brought Contributed to the Ducks in Winning their First Stanley Cup and is Winningest Coach is Beneficial to Ducks Cause in hopes that revitalize team will break the Game 7 Funks that stings till this day. What's more important is knowing that in order to Reform mindset of the team and cure what ills them in past 4 years. Love him or Hate Him Carlyle can be a Lighting Rod for his style let alone unyielding Demands to get the best out the Players. Say what you won't bout him as much as I wanted the Ducks to pick someone new. I understand their need to get somone familiar to hold certain Players within the Ducks Roster Accountable.

Opinions are mixed be it Ducks Message Board,Facebook,Twitter and instagram but we all can agree that having Ducks Head Coach is better then No Coach at All. Last Night we see a Next Generation of Ducks Call up to Podium. Max Jones drafted at 24th a Left Winger from London Knights(Perry's old Junior team) and Center Sam Steel from Regina Pats. Both have upsides bring alot to Ducks Future in coming years.

Max Jones or as we now Call him Mad Max is a Power Forward that is hard hitting and provide Good shot that I am sure will excite Ducks Fans for years to come. Sam Steel as I dubbed him Man of Steel his stats are Pretty Good for a Center due to his Playmaking style add to the fact his 8 goals and 22 assists has proven the trade for 30th Pick was a "Steel" for the Ducks in sending Freddie to T.O. as 2nd Day of Draft is Underway I can tell you that with the upgrades at this year's Draft can be Beginning of turning the Ducks around for their Road to Redemption. As we know and Hope Ducks will look Different and be meaner when the Puck Drops Oct13th.

June 6th 2007:9 Years Later

9 years seems like Forever....many of us who watch it be it Live,On TV or was able to record the game and know the moment when the Buzzer sound and Ducks were Stanley Cup Champions. Knowing that all those years of NHL Fans of other teams,Canadian Hockey fans and Purists alike doubted us,Mocked our Name and our Colors. Not mention where Team was founded they were associated with Disney and with SoCal never understand or appreciate how far the team has come. 14 years of Blood,sweat,Tears and Dedication in overcoming the odds is something to behold and admire. That Night as I call it "Day of Great Victory". That Night Everything Change,Anaheim Ducks,Ducks Fans and all involve alike change for the Better. We were no Longer the "Joke" as many called us. We were taken seriously and Ducks Fans were inspired,Motivated and Happy that years of Perseverance result in our Name Living forever. From Teemu Selanne and JS Giguere to then Young Guns Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry all the way to Chris Pronger and Niedermayer Brothers...My Passion for the team was strengthen let alone increase tenfold. If one thing I can say it was inspiring to see Scott Niedermayer Raise the Stanley Cup high at the Honda Centre. No Words....just pure Joy. Ducks Fans came of age that moment as our Team did. With a Stanley Cup came expectations and dreams of Players who may fit into the Ducks System of Hockey.


Passion I see each years since I came to see my FIRST NHL Game and Anaheim Ducks Live I can tell you honestly Anaheim Ducks and Hockey in General has became a Important part of Orange County and SoCal's Culture. You can say Ducks Stanley Cup Win grew the sport. Becoming 1st California Based team to Win Hockey's Most cherish Prize made everyone in Hockey World be it Canada,USA,Finland,Sweden right down to Tradition Hockey markets in Montreal,Toronto and in my hometown of Cole Harbour Nova Scotia. Hockey is for everyone including those who love and Follow the Ducks as I do. 2007: Year of the Duck always hold a special place in my Home Work...Ducks Winning the Stanley Cup,Getting all if not most of Players autographs and made life long Friends. I never take for granted and appreicate those Ducks Fans who I consider my friends and kept in Touch to today.


As I raise a Glass to this Edition of the team I remeber the names....Giguere,Selanne,AndyMac,Pronger,Niedermayer Bros,Moen,Parros,May,Getzlaf,Perry,Bryz,Pahlsson,Dipenta,Drew Miller,Ryan Carter,Todd Marchant and others Never Forget 1007 Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks were the BEST in the World and brough Glory to Anaheim,Orange County and Ducks Fans Worldwide......For Me It has to this day motivated me to be the best I can be in my life.forever each year I visit Anaheim and try my best to meet my friends...I always remain Humble :)

Anaheim Ducks 2016: Season in Review

It's a little late But I though it would be best to cover the season that was for our team even though they fell short in winning a Game 7 for the 4th straight year. If i had to sum up the Ducks 15-16 it's Roller-coaster yet at the end it felt like Deja Vu. As Much as we expected our Ducks to start strong it was opposite...Losing back to back shutouts as well as season opener and Home Opener Dampen and Demoralize many including myself attending the 2 games vs Colorado and Phx made me and perhaps others wonder will Ducks make it back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs. 1-7-2 lead us to question if our team needed to rebuild or Fire Bruce Boudreau. Being there live witnessing each loss felt like a Punch in the gut....Sometimes I ponder and ask like many who attended those Games..."What is going on".

Questions linger over those losses but My resolve was never shaken more like a shock as many were use to Ducks Strong Starts in Seasons Prior. It was strengthen knowing our Ducks had a tendency before Bruce's arrival to be slow starters. first 2 Months were tough but like previous season we endure as the Ducks pick up the pace once December rolled around. Ducks started coming together....Goals were coming from the usual Players we saw and Goaltending was able to get us some wins.


We witness milestones achieve from Ducks earning their 800th Win vs Chicago on Feb13th to arrival of David Perron and Jamie McGinn{Hope Ducks Re-sign them both}. Oh Let's not forget Ducks going from worst to first in Reclaiming another Pacific Division Title by leaping over LA our Hated Enemy in the last few months. many moments stand out besides Ducks 4th Straight Pacific Divison Title... Come from behind to win in OT vs Ottawa Mar26th. Yet despite what we endure nothing is stinging as Ducks Lost another Game 7 vs Nashville whom I personally Beleive Ducks would have SMASH the Preds to Dust..Losing 2-1 was Heartbreaking as it was for other Losses we witness. YES it's tough to be a Ducks Fan at this moment but like all low-points we witness as the Ducks have in seasons prior. They will overcome this with a stronger Resolve.

Task of redemption began with Bruce being relived of his duties and Ducks GM Bob Murray calling out the Core Players on losing another Game 7....4 straigh Game 7 losses yes IT Sucks I know. But imho This team will Break this so-Called "Curse". Despite the Criticism and all we have read,Debated and at times had arguments over We will always stand with our team for 16-17 will mark 10 years since Ducks Historic Stanley Cup Win. I Believe Ducks will get back to the Stanley Cup Finals it's NOT a Matter of HOW but........When!.

Bruce Bouderau's Dismissal:My Thoughs

Call it a prediction,or knowing the day will come....But when final Buzzer sound that night and Ducks Loss another Game 7. We knew certain that Bruce will be removed in coming days and weeks after 4th straight Game 7 loss that has dishonor our team and us all. Critics demanded Change,others ask for another chance but we know Patience was all bout gone and majority of Ducks Fans demanded Bruce be Let Go. It happen on 29th of April 2016 after 5 years Bruce was Fired by our Anaheim Ducks. 5 years makes him 2nd longest serving Ducks Coach in 23 year History of our team. What he has left behind is a teams that had strong seasons yet fall short in achieving the goals in Stanley Cup Playoffs. Closing out the series against rivals and enemies We know was Big Factor in his Dismissal. It some say maybe his mark...But we cannot forget positives he has brought to the Ducks


1.4 Straight Pacific Division Titles. 2. Fastest Ducks Coach to reach 200+ Wins. 3.3 straight Strong Starts and 4.800th Franchise Win in Ducks History. these are the Positives Bruce will definitely leave his mark in. There are many others but what we deal now is who will be Successor to Bruce. Be it Paul Maclean,Trent Yawney within the System or a Familiar Face in Randy Carlyle or another Outside. Bob has stated he will take his time to name a new Head Coach.


To me it's clear Change is needed for the Ducks to take the Next Step towards reclaiming the Stanley Cup and embracing everylasting Glory. From 2003 to 2007 they achieve that and they will do so after 4 straight Game 7 Losses. So say what you want bout Bruce he was a Good Coach but he was not good in the Playoffs. However for the team Accountability will be laid out in coming Months to remedied a situation that has been left to Rot. Ducks will have new Outlook and be Reformed to face the Challenges in reclaiming their Honor...REDEMPTION my Fellow Ducks Fans is on the Mind and Should be for our team.....

My Frustration:this year's Game 7 Loss

There is nothing for us to say...or speak of...We lost yet again to a better team. What irks me the Most is Losing another Game 7 THIS time to WildCard Team...Don't get me wrong. I am Die hard Ducks Fan since Day1. a Archivist who collects and records events down in my History Book. What gets me is this team once again falls short...Call them chokers or whatever you have that right. I don't care for it Boogles my mind how in the WORLD losing 4 STRAIGHT Game 7's after holding 3-2 Leads and Cannot close it out is Baffling yet Frustrating. This team is good but NOT GOOD enough. We have the Roster for 4 straight years lose Important games during the seasons. 4 Straight Pacific Division Titles is a Plus.......But the Bigger Prize is Stanley Cup. It's tough seeing the vids of Fellow Ducks Fans and reading their Words on Ducks Message Board.


Anger is boiling and Answers must be Concluded on why this team for fourth straight year cannot get it done. We have heard Narratives and who is to blame....Biggest Problem this team face is how to reach the Goal in Winning the Stanley Cup. Sometimes I wonder after each game 7 Loss in the past few years that a team with so much talent can fall short. This leads us to another Offseason full of questions on how to retool,Regroup and Adapt...If one thing is certain Changes need to be made to Jumpstart this team. It happen before and I believe it can happen again. Example 2007 Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks.

Ducks vs Nashville:Time for Redemption

What lies ahead for the Ducks is a chance for Revenge and wash away the stinging Shock that was Defeat to Nashville. More so this series is a Chance to Redemption. Regular season now in the books and with that another Pacific Division Title added too. Beginnings of Stanley Cup Quest...within 3 Days. Ducks vs Nashville that is a series we have not heard in a longtime. 5 years ago last time we battle those Mustard Cats...we let our Guard down. Assuming it we breeze by them with Ease. Yet we witness onslaught by Nashville who was not only willing to prove themselves but shame us in knowing their is a threat rising in that Team. I remember Game 5 Ducks were leading Nashville who then pulled their Goalie "Hold the Line" was all of us wanted and then BOOM Preds tied it......later they Won in OT which turn the tided in battle with Those Cats. Shock it was to all yet like many shortcomings we move one and focus on many seasons onward. Despite all we have gone through in past months the Ducks going from worst to first in NHL Pacific Division......measure of this team, be it skills,Talent and Collective Will is going to be tested from the vets and Rookies to Coaching Staff who will strategize in gaining the edge over Nashville. Ignore Hockey Pundits,Predictors and Doubters....We know our team well and Battles they face will be Tough. They need not only our support 110% but expressing of our Passionate for them as a whole. From Ducks Fans I met over past 8 years to many I spoke on Ducks Message Board,Facebook and Twitter.......Quest for the Stanley Cup begins with us Standing Together with our team.....UNITED and Ready for whatever Nashville throws at us. Ducks need Focus and Readiness

Major Disappointment last night...Many of us know well in honor of us Ducks Fans a Win would be a fitting gesture of thank You as with a Stick Salute. I feel personally that last night's game was ours to win..2pts was vital due part our Enemy LA winning that Night. We can dwell on it but with 3 games left one must look forward right NOW not back of us AT THIS CRITICAL MOMENT OF THE YEAR. Ducks need to be Ready and Stand Together what is a important Journey to begin. Everyone must be ready for what's to come. Health is important as I mention few times as do Depth. Contributions to Ducks Cause must not be limited to 1 or 2 players. For Example a Goalie cannot be relied too heavily to bail this team out as Gibson was doing last night. We blame one or 2 players but at the end whole team holds responsibility to each other and us Ducks Fans who stood by them through thick and Thin. Ducks being at 99pts along with our Enemy LA with same number of pts. It comes down to 1 game that determines who will be number 1 in Pacific Division and Clinch Pacific Division Title for perhaps 4th time.by the time Quest for the Stanley Cup Begins....all players within roster be ready and Healthy. Depth will be tested and I feel they will be our Greatest advantage. What it will come down is Focus and need to be Ready for whatever Adversity throws at them. Road ahead for our Anaheim Ducks

We knew it could happen and it did many of us prefer our Ducks to earn it threw a Win be it through Reg,Overtime or Shootout. Even Though a OT Loss to Toronto was disappointing the Benefit was our team earning a Point to Clinch their 12th Playoff Berth in Team History. But as we soak in and embrace knowing Fact Ducks Stanley Cup Quest will being in few weeks, 7 games remaining and questions on who our Ducks face are amounting each day. Whether be it Chicago or LA in the First Round it remains to be seen.......Part of me feel that IF the Ducks Face Chicago or LA in First Round. There will be a Chance Redemption. Game 7 Losses to our Hater Enemy LA and Rival that is Chicago still stings like a Wasp. It took us awhile to get use to it but IF Fate puts us in path in Battling both a Enemy and Rival,I say so BE IT. With their season is winding down and Ducks Finishing Strong we know the Path is no easy one for them to take. Nothing is easy when the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin for there will be tough nights ahead and battles of attrition when Game 1 Begins. Pondering as we may Let's not look past 7 games for they hold the key to where this team will be once 15-16 season concludes. Most of you I know are eager for the Playoffs to begin and Quest to start. All of us know what our Ducks are capable of....2014 and 2015 is memory for us but let's not forget how our Ducks were able to overcome Adversity to be where they are now. What it Means to be a Ducks Fan!

8 words that ring in my mind for few months now. I wonder bout what it means to not only me.....But everyone in general. If you are a Local Ducks fan in Orange County California,Ducks Fan in Finland or Sweden or those like myself in Canada we share 3 traits that define us. Passionate,Loyal and Classy. We live each moment of the games we attended be it Live in person,watching it on TV or Listening via Radio/Internet Radio and now by Mobile App. Ducks for 23 years been part of our lives since their Founding in 1993. Anyways no matter where you live and how you keep in touch with the team over the past 2 and half Decades we have witness milestones being reached be it a Player or Team achieving it and Milestones broken. Accolades accomplished and of course NHL and Team Records set in place. Few words that some up these experiences we see each year/season when Seeing Anaheim Ducks...."history in the Making". it says right on the upper area of Ducks Team store when you look around. Reason for that is not everyday one can tell each other or other Hockey fans that "I was there when First game,First Goal,First Win.....etc" or know who score the First Goal in Ducks History or First Series Win and so on. You see many of us who are Passionate truly understand History is important to the Ducks and to all Ducks Fans no matter what. What makes us exceptional is we Cheer,Support and back our team 110% not only a like Family but Community of Ducks Fans and Hockey Aficionados from Ducks Message Board,Facebook,Twitter,Instgram and many more. Knowing our History and seeing it been achieve is positive Inspiration in our lives and for many. Yes it's game but to others like myself it united us and brings us together to enjoy the Sport we love and the team we love More. In Perspective we Adapted,evolved and Progress into Passionate Fans of Hockey and Anaheim Ducks in General. Facts we live by is knowing that each season and each year that pass Ducks have proven time and time again to persevere and Prove Doubters wrong,those who assume we fall don't know Team well as we do. We know they tend to have slow starts,We know they blaze in 2nd half with strong Finish.. From names that call us mocking our team's Name in the Past till time we Hoist the Stanley Cup.........We thrive as the Ducks do in proving those wrong. Through it all We stand as do our Ducks. Whether they will or lose one thing we know well is our History and Team we have come to admire. Good or bad Ducks perserve and Ducks Fans in Life do as well. That is what it means to be Ducks Fan in general to Perverse no matter what and Know History of our team well as Deeds of our Players and Milestones they achieve. We are privilege everytime to know we were there when milestones are achieve each Night no more no less. For now Tonite we will see another Milestone achieve. Let us look back at we embrace over past 2 decades and appreciate our Team and Look forward to the Future. Ducks Trade Deadline Day

TO Trade or NOT To Trade.......It's the Question that time and time again must always have an answer. 6 Days from now Trade Deadline will be watched be all Ducks fans from Orange County California and Beyond. Several names have been linked or Reported the Ducks are interested range big name players to a Young upstart refusing to play for the team that drafted him. One thing that will be decided is "Will Ducks make a Trade to Bolster the team"? or will they not which at times they choose to stand Pat and Allow Chemistry NOT to be disrupted due in part of Resurgency this team has been accustomed to. Eric Staal,Andrew Ladd,Loui Erkisson and Patrick Marleau are rumored to be Potential Suitors by Fourth Period website Ducks are looking to Land. Others included Dale Weise,Kris Versteeg and John Drouin Provide alternative Cheap Ducks can get at Trade Deadline. Decision they must make is who they have to give in order to land Impact Foward or Winger that can light the spark within the Ducks and make sure they hit the Ground Running. Names like Vatanen,Fowler and few others have been thrown around. Either way For the good for of the team Trading a D-man which the Ducks have surplus of is vital in order to make this team DOES not EVER make mistakes of Playoffs Past. Ducks at 31-19-8 70pts 3rd place in Pacific Division.....5th in NHL West. Only 24 Games left IF they are to enhance their chances to go further into Stanley Cup Playoffs. I am interested personally Ducks make a trade...Not a Big one but a Minor one. Minor Trades have been Ducks M.O. Nothing flashy or Big in landing a Big name. However I am not sure if Making a trade would be possible since the Ducks Surge is no surprise since we know...2nd Half has been their strongest attribute. I am looking forward to Trade Deadline...Whether or not Ducks make that Splash we will have to wait and see. Yet I am curious to see who goes were. A Ducks Resurgency:Rising Must Continue

No Surprises at where our Ducks are now. We know Ducks would be Rising and their place in NHL West nothing to be shocked about or in awe. those who know me and know the Ducks well since their Founding this team always has a strong 2nd half. 29-19-8 66pts 3rd in Pacific Division,5th place in NHL West. Some Doubted or wrote off the Ducks in the Beginning of this season. Frustration,demoralize and of course the occasional Shock has lead many to wonder "Why".......But we know that as one Ducks Fan I Know well this is "Ducks of the Old". Playing like crap in 1st Half yet goes Gun ablazing in 2nd half. One must always remeber and know this team well as much as Myself and others within Ducks Fanbase from Orange County California and beyond to know this team's MO has always been slow starters. You can say we are use to Ducks strong 1st half in past 3 years....which is true But we must never Lose sight that with Ducks Resurgence they must keep climbing and Close the Distance with our Enemy that is LA Kings. Also keep a close eye on those who are in rear view mirror...San Jose,Col,Min,Nashville and others right on our Team's Tails. Ducks Playoff Chances are Greater and Hope is brighter as the Sun itself. Arrival of David Perron and Ryan Garbutt via Trades has improve the Ducks Offense abit.....Jumpstart it as Right time. Trade Deadline 11 Days away Ducks are Buyers who have a choice. Tinker with the Roste which has Perservere as they did before in season past or Stand Pat...Either way Ducks Rising will continue and they WILL be face to fact with LA for Pacific Divison Title and Top Spot NHL West. Anaheim Ducks:2015 Year in Review

Happy Belated New Year Everyone :) 13 Days have passed since we all rang in 2016. When the Clock struck 12 and our Ducks Won their 2nd shutout on the Road, It made me reflect on 12 months that shaped 2015. For me Personally I believe 2015 is a year highted by the Highs and Lows of this team. From Seeing Ducks Honor a Hockey Icon raising his Number being the First to the Rafters of the Ponda*Honda Center* to the Stinging Defeat that is a Game 7 Loss at Home for 3rd straight. For us Ducks fans we cannot forget the Good,the Bad and the Ugly. For what it's worth I though it would be best to list down the Top Moments in 2015 that our Ducks made last year. 1.Teemu Selanne's Retirement Ceremony you all know I am always big on Recording each moment of Ducks History and at times use a Ducks Hockey Media Guide as a Reference. No words describe the Moment I felt that night watching our Anaheim Ducks honor a Ducks Legend and Finnish Hockey Icon. to hear his Words and see and hear the reaction of the crowd it was truly historic moment that will live in us all Forever as Ducks Fans and Hockey Fans in general. Best part of all is many of my friends record Ceremony on their Cellphones and post it on Facebook.....It sends chills down my back and made me Smile. Teemu left his mark being alltime Ducks Leader in Goals,Assists,Points,Games Played and etc. He made so many moments I can make a list impact and accomplishments he made in inspiring Ducks Fans and Hockey fanatics alike. It was One year ago on Monday of this Week Ducks Raise and Retire Number 8.....like Stanley Cup Victory and Stadium series it's etched in our Memories. 2.Ducks Defeating Winnipeg and Calgary advancing deeper in Stanley Cup Playoffs: I had to include both since our team taking out both Jets and Flames was something to celebrate. First Round and 2nd Rd Dominance provided us a chance to see Ducks advance Deeper to the WCF. What's special was Ducks vs Winnipeg and the Fact both team's Connection to Teemu Selanne was Hilighted from time to time. Sweeping the Jets and Smashing them was great...But Knocking out Calgary was great in it's own right since we PWNED them 11 years ago. Sadly Ducks Fell short in losing Once again Game 7 at home this time to Chicago Blackhawks...losing first Game 7 was Tough,losing 2 was hard but losing for 3 straight years was Sting that is a bitter taste that leaves in our Mouths and Stings deeply that it's destine to be cleansed soon. 3.Ducks Establish AHL Team in San Diego:Dream of moving Farm team to West Coast became a Reality. for 10 years talk has been around bout bringing to Ducks farm team closer to Anaheim due to time zone differences and travel distances.Talk of it became a clear on Jan 29th 2015. Ducks joing 4 teams to form AHL Pacific Division. News of it spread like wildfire as Ducks Sphere of Influence grew to include San Diego County. Few Months later Ducks would rename San Diego AHL Team "San Diego Gulls" honoring the Name and Previous teams that wore "Gulls" Moniker. Rest you can see is History :) 4.Simon Despres Arrives: I always beleive in Team comes first but when I hear Ducks traded for Simon Despres someone Who I feel could make Difference and given a chance to succeed. IF he was traded to the Ducks it made me Smile knowing a Forme Saint SeaDog and someone from my home region has chance to shine. He did during first few games and months he suiting up for the Ducks. Sadly he is not with concussion during first few months of 2015-2016 NHL Season. But he is due to be back Soon. 5.October Blues and First Half struggle:Let me say this openly right now in regards to the Ducks October Blues.....If you ask me if the Ducks were to win only one game in October I would laugh and disagree very passionate. But seeing the team live for 3 games where they lost Back to back to Arz and Colorado was demoralizing and frustrating in seeing a team with talent,experince and Skill lose in not only such a fashion but lack of effort was showing. 1-7-2 was not only unacceptable yet lack of Scoring was sad....JUST SAD. Many speculated,panic and vented angry on players who should have step up. For me watching the play of the team live but also on TV lead me to think we are seeing the Ducks of the Old. Was I ashamed of their play?...NO very clear to me Ducks were in a slow Start simliar to slow starts in years and season prior. But I did not panic at this struggle we never though Ducks would be in. seeing it was a thing of the Past.Expecting a strong start is vital yet it's going to be important for the Ducks right now to hit the ground running since they are NOW midway at the 15-16 season. 6.Orange is the New Black: I always like Ducks Alt uni's from Wild Wing breaking out of Ice to Ducks 03-04 old school Uni look after the First Rising* first Ducks Stanley Cup Playoff Run*. New Colors were very Symbolic debuting Oct16h vs Colorado. Funny Thing is the New Uniforms were leaked on NHL Shop.com....Don't know how that happen but it was no surprise to see how well receive it was with Ducks fans especially Local fans in Orange County. Orange Colors representing all Communities of Orange County....symbolism is one of Pride and Dedication to the team,Ducks fans worldwide and of course fashionable due in part Ducks brought back Old "Mighty Ducks" Logo as part of a Link to a Unique Past we have embrace since Day 1 of Ducks Founding. 7.Ducks Trade for Kevin Bieska and Carl Haglin:Seperate Trades to shake up the team but I will leave the comments short since this season has not conclude which I will make a statement after the season ends! So there is top Moments that define 2015 For the Ducks and Ducks Fans alike. as our Team begins 2nd half 2015-2016 Let us stand tall and Support the team and remember Ducks perseverance when they endure Slow Starts...I beleive in this team and as i Left OC in October being 1-2 I know this team can make it...They inspire to overcome anything.
