2011 in my honest opinion will be remember not for it's success our Ducks endure....But the struggles they face. They waning days of this year has been a reminder that nothing was easy nor should be taken for granted this team has a tall task at hand. Many things have happen most good,others sometimes bad from Ducks earning spot in 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs to Corey Perry becoming first Duck to win Hart Trophy and 2nd Duck to win Rocket Trophy not to mention 3rd in team history to reach 50 Goal Mark. Low points has been lack of depth and losses mounting due to inabilities of the Ducks rally together be it holding leads or overcoming our rivals within Pacific Division. Worst lowest moment would be death of a former Duck, Ruslan Salei aka Rusty to some who word Ducks Logo with honor,Pride and Duty for 10 years was a Defencemen i always respect and truly admire.
Like many Prospects before who develop I always give him and others a chance and benefit of a doubt. His efforts are memorable including the OT Goal in Game 3 of Stanley Cup Finals in 2003. His passing hit all of us hard including myself who witness that moment 8 years ago. Yet i know Ducks Nation will hold him dear in our hearts as always.Another Low point is definitely the Recent losing skid and collapse in 2nd and 3rd months of Ducks 11-12 Season...Call it rebuilding call it worst season in my own opinion this is a MESS plain and simple. If you ask me I believe Front Office has relied too much on certain players with inexperience to lead them back to the top. It's one thing to have all Offensive team but it's another to have a team that is very imbalance.
Once More I must speaks of Ducks Positive in 2011 one is overcoming Hiller's inaction due to Vertigo by bringing in Ellis and Emery too good goalies who gave this team a shot in clinching their 8th Stanley Cup Playoff berth...Without them Ducks may have a long struggle ahead with questions asked.Hiller's vertigo was focal point for many some wonder what's up with him others believe it's best to go with Emery during the offseason. But with Hiller announcing he is back Ducks choose to go with him. To this moment that choice is now question......Hiller has not been himself nor he seems to not bee the goal we though he was. For example allowing a two goals in 10secs really makes this Die hard Ducksfan wonder if he is really 100%
I will not lie to anyone especially all of you when I say I am deeply disappointed in Hiller and the way things have gone about this season. Since Low points have been address I think it's needed to tell of High points within the Ducks One being that of Corey Perry who made transition of Super pest to goal scorer. His skills are amazing and his hat tricks were numerous i had to list them down before i can update My Ducks History Book. Scoring 50 Goals,Earning Hart Trophy MVP and Rocket Richard was special...It was historic. But I cannot leave out two important events of 2011. That i being Ducks Legend Teemu Selanne....Opening at Home where he is a Hero let alone popular Player in Finland. Seeing my friends pics where they visit Finland made me adopt Jokerit as my team in Finland to Follow, Why you ask? well for me it's best to be open minded and not be closed minder as some of my Canadian Citizens have been in the past. another event special to Teemu was his return to Winnipeg. A place where he started his NHL Career before his arrival to Anaheim tribute by the Jets made me appreciate him more He is loved not only by the Ducks but Hockey Fans in Winnipeg.
As many Ducksfans look back and hope for the best in 2012 I have important message to many who read this....Stay strong Don't let the losing season get to you, DON'T let ANYONE be it Hockey Trolls on Facebook,Twitter or Ducks Message Board tell you it can be done. If the Ducks can have a strong finish and Either Make it or NOT in the Playoffs This team shows it can be resilient. For me Personally 11-12 season is troubling,Worrisome and diffcult but it's a stark reminder that for our Ducks to RISE again they must be able to have this Generation of Ducks endure the trials of setting things right. Remember the Past with Unique and expectational Pride. Know the present is full fo challenges that need to be address...But always always hope for the future. Till then I wish you all from Ducks Message Board+Facebook+Twitter a Happy New Year 2012...I will come to Orange County and I believe after this season Ducks WILL RISE again and be stronger!.

Ducks and J-S Giguere:Old Friend returns
If there is one game i circle on the calender of 2011-2012 season it's a return of one of the most important Goalies in Ducks history making appearance after 2 years traded back in 2010. Jiggy as many Ducksfans including myself has always called him remember the effort,desire,willingness to give it his all during the Ducks rise towards Winning the Stanley Cup and achieving eternal glory that day. Alltime leader in wins,Shutouts and Games Played he not only cemented his mark on the Ducks but all of Ducks Nation especially in Orange County in general. For me personally Giguere traded to the Ducks in Year 2000 was symbolic...It connected the City of Halifax to Anaheim. He along with Joe Dipenta,Marc Chounaird and later years Bryce Swan,George Davis and Logan MacMillan lead me to create my nickname "MooseDuck". Why the name it's a connection between a team I followed since 1993 and a Hometown Junior team that has churn out successful NHL Players in the past.

But the thing that really made me proud of Giguere was in 2007...Year of the Duck as I call it. His contributions along with Pronger,Niedermayer Bros,Getzlaf,Perry and Teemu along with Pahlsson and a Interesting Goalie named Bryzgalov began the Ducks raise towards success and on June 6th 2007*Day of Great Victory* Ducks WON their First Stanley Cup. There were so many moments for me personally i think getting his autograph and talking to him made me appreciate that fact he not only played on my favorite team but years ago was a simple Canadian Teen chasing his dream by playing for the Halifax Mooseheads.
Tomorrow on New Year's eve i encourage all Ducksfans who read this via Twitter or Facebook to give Giggy a Salute and Standing O. He help the Ducks become a power and our team along with Fanbase came of age that Day. Without him we would have not be able to be where we are. It was this connection that played in one of 3 key things that made me register on Ducks Message Board 10 years ago. I can tell you this I am proud to call Giguere the GREATEST Ducks Goalie in history of the team and Ducks Nation. Till then I can't wait for this game and Ducks to Finish 2011 on positive Note!.

Christmas wishes and message to OC!
As you all know by now we are apporaching the end of 2011 with only 3 games left till New Years. I am left hoping our Ducks can finish this year not only with a positive note....But with Victory that ends another year marked by up's and downs. I have follow this team as many of you since their Founding and 2011 could go down is perhaps the worst or maybe the toughest to endure for the Ducks in recent history. Let's wish that those within the ranks of the roster will rise to the challenge as their precedessors did seasons prior, Let's wish that amidst turnmoil and questions they honor the past by moving forward with Wins and Victories over our rivals,Enemies and teams that stand in our way. For once I am concern bout this team's direction....But i feel it's necessary for those young guns to learn that games in NHL is NOT easy. Talent,Resiliencey within our team must be awaken don't know how it will but I am hoping it awake very soon.
I want say something regards to how this season has turn out in first 3 months of Ducks campagain....If there is one word to describe 11-12 in first 3 months it's turmoil. Reason is expectations this team has are not yet met. RPG Line has not fufilled their duties and change in coach was necessary to jumpstart and give new Energy to the Ducks. However it remains to be seen how it turns out considering this "Win 1,Lose 1" mentality is bugging all of us in Ducks Nation. Sometimes going through the rough patchs is the only way our team can overcome adversity that is in front of them this year and perhaps the next. We must never give up on this team nor should we give in to doubt,Naysayers of those who threw in the towel too soon.
I also want to say a personal message to Ducksfans in Orange County who is reading this. Do not GIVE UP or succumb to what people say bout this team and you all...Ducks are unique for they are a most successful Non-tradtional hockey market in NHL. No one can take that away from YOU or anyone else....Hockey is and always been a universal sport. Anaheim in my own opinion has and always been a Multi-sport city. Ducks,Angels,Bolts,MMA and Jiu jitsu have thrive in a area that i have come to love and respect be it the people and those who contributed to the Ducks success....From Players and front office to Powerplayers. Will the Ducks will anothe Stanley Cup?....I do beleive they can and THEY WILL!. Till then i want to say Merry Christmas to all of my friends in Orange County and beyond. Hope to see you there and see this team BOUNCE BACK!.

Trying times for Ducksfans
I'm left wonder what went wrong this season...For the Ducks with so much promise and potential it seems struggling and "Win one,Lose one" Mentality is reallying taking it's toll on next just the players but Ducksfans themselves. No matter where you look some have given up while others take on this "See I told you So" BS....It sickens me to the core and lead me at times to lose anger. To me it seems Many among us have forgotten what it means to be a Ducksfan not cause we accept losing...But we have seem to forget the battles they won that made this team and us different from any NHL Fan in the Hockey world. Sometimes amidst all the uncertainty,doubt put in by other Hockey fans it's always important to stay true to this team and history prior to what maybe a season of turmoil.
At times when i am on Ducks Message Board or facebook i have read words of those who try to tell it like it is....Let me say i have nothing wrong with those who speak with their heart on the Ducks Achilles heel or flaws that plague our team. I have however have problem with those consedencing Jerks and Defeatists who assume the worst or try to be a "Expert" by stating Tech babble. I can only wonder who others who are NOT like them feel since Main Forum on the Ducks Page has the Fun,Life and Passion SUCK OUT of them. As for Facebook those who frequent it can only hope for the best...Calling out some players does not make you a Troll or Bandwagon...It's a right of all Ducksfans including those i respect to speak out what is vital to the Duck Cause.
We are as i always have said is "Ducks Nation" spreading from Orange County to Nova Scotia and BC to Finland.....You can say we are everywhere. But with so much going it's tough to be positive heading towards New Year. If one has ask me if i though tis would be a Bad season i would tell you to "!@#!@#$ Off". Deep down inside i do however them to begin a strong 2nd half....No matter how one looks at it season being far from over we may see this as final transition of Ducks Youth movement...whether it be up or down it remains to be seen. I REFUSE to predict where the Ducks will Finish....I have hated it be it on Ducks Message Board or Twitter. It makes one look like a Condesdencing A-Hole.
With 3 months left on the schedule and 14 pts keeping Ducks distant from their goal...it's very clearly this team is Young, full of potential and going through the motions whether or not they make the playoffs or they don't it's STILL remains to be seen. All i ask from all Ducksfans especially in Orange County...DO NOT give up or GIVE IN. The Ducks has and always been a unique and expectational team with a Past that is something we are proud of. For it goes without saying "Past is full of accomplishments,Present provides Challenges and Future is filled with Hope". Right now it's ALL or NOTHING for this team no more no less.

Ducks Unexpected Results!
If you had ask me before Ducks 19th season began, that our Team would be sliding,faltering and near bottom of the league i would tell you to "Go the Hell". After seeing the Ducks have only 2 wins and a total of 9 together never in my life nore everyone i knew from Ducks Message Board to those on facebook.....expected this team to play so well at times but have results that DID NOT reflect the talent,skill and experince among the players. It never occur to me or others in Ducks Nation this team can be at 14th place earning 2 wins in November and be 9-18-5 23pts amidst Injuries,Coaching changes,Inconsistency and other factors that have plague this team since Ducks started 4-1 in early October.
This has been very frustrating,Disapointing and at times sad that a team with so much at stake struggle to be consistent in a competitive NHL West......There flaws on this team that SHOULD have been address a long time ago. Flawed Defence,Underachieving Offense and a two goalies that have looked shaky at times has lead to questions that MUST be asked asap. Recent lossess to our sworn rivals and to chicago and winnipeg has lead to a divide among Ducksfans some have given up while others such as myself stay on to see this season through....IF our Ducks Do not make the Stanley Cup Playoff it should be made as a reminder to our team and young players on the roster that NOTHING is easy be it games against Top teams or bottomdwellers. You can try to explain or point fingers who is at fault on why this editon of the Ducks is having a crappy season.
There is however a hope for this team to tap into their Resilience in turning this season around...If memory serves me and others is Ducks always have a strong 2nd half each season. Most times it bears fruit when 7 out of the 8 Playoff appearances our Ducks started slow. Sometimes this team must take a step back in order to move forward IF they are to continue with sucess they tasted 4 years ago.
The team is full of potential and perhaps this is a final phase of Ducks Youth movement...Whatever happens from here on end Ducks have and always will have a choice. Make the Playoffs and try to advance or fall short and rebuild. Needless to say it all comes down to picking up the pieces of the uexpected issues that arise during first half of 2011-2012....Is this team the worst? NO, Are they Bad?....I don't beleive so But i am certain our Ducks will learn from this and be revitialized and motivated to set things right after 11-12 season is over...For now All we ask from them is to FINISH STRONG!

Challenges and uphill battles
As of right now most of you are now full aware Ducks are in 30th place. Never though i see the day or hear this team would be at the bottom of the League and NHL Western Conference. Shameful if you ask me let alone very dishonorable at best, as much as i have been a optimism and someone stoic in the fact of uncertainty and concerns. I am left to wonder how our Ducks will precede from here on end. No matter what they must use this as a rallying cry to finish this season strong. Some i have talk to have said there are benefits in being last.....I however see the risks and dangers involve in what someone would say "Tanking" this season to get first overall pick.
Failure and falling short in achieving the goals at the start of this season...But it seems flaws have shown more and more from lack of depth to injuries to key players along with new players be it youth or new players....It seems everything is out of place. But i am quickly reminded by a friend that a team like our Ducks who have tasted success,victories and greatest win of all time may have to endure this fall. So much disappointment has lead to me question whether or not this team can succeed or overcome this adversity that face the. If i history Ducks have made it to the Stanley Cup Postseason in 7 out of the 8 times when they have slow starts.

Team full of Potential and unpredictable finish!
There games when one has witness or seen with their eyes or listen that makes you wonder. In Seasons prior and past years Ducks have always i mean always fight for a constant battle for honor,Respect and Pride...This season has been a struggle for consistency for a team full of youth eager to prove themselves to the Ducks Front office and Ducks Nation itself. Looking at the roster i am noticing 11 of our players are under age of 30. With inexperince and new blood on the roster....I am left to wonder whether it along with injuries to Blake and Lubo may have played part in Ducks recent slump in November aka Month of Turmoil.
This Season however it may end could be lesson for the youth who will one day assemble mantles of leadership. However it maybe this team must find ways to WIN, Not lose nor settle for 1pt. There is no Sastifaction but winning and the Stanley Cup....Sometimes toughest battles are those young guns of our team must learn in order to know NOTHING is easy nor given to. We as Ducksfans need to know there is no such thing as a easy win or a Easy victory. Ducks past is unqiue and expectional for our resilince,Present is full of hope this 11-12 Edition can follow in footsteps of predcessors past...As for the Future it holds to our Expectations our Ducks will always Rise again.

Ducks Win and Realigment
There is nothing that puts a smile on my face or others is a Ducks Win. What's even better is a Win over our enemy LA, I am hopeful that it's a start in turning this season around perhaps maybe making a push for the NHL Western Conference's Top 8. Once more amidst all the uncertainly i beleive in this team they can turn this season around...Be it Playoffs or no Playoffs it comes down to finishing strong in a very competitive NHL West. Now you ask why is this Die-hard Passionate Ducksfan beleive they can turn this season around?....Answer is for as long as 19 years i have seen the good,the bad and the ugly of our team's history. Sometimes it was worst others Ducks rose to the challenge and triumph over Detroit,LA,San Jose,Vancouver and others who i call "Enemies". To me this is a challenge let alone adversity they face in getting through obstacles that lay before them.
I am however concern bout lack of depth or as i call "Strength in Numbers" within ranks of the team. Bottom six at times worries me and gives me concern......Yet i am hoping the young guns including Hagman contribute in sparking a Ducks Offense which sits 28th in NHL Scoring. At times I wonder what's going within the locker room...who is to blame and who is weakpoint on this edition of Anaheim Ducks. I do however will not go into any "Expert" BS that is on the Ducks Message Board but i beleive IF our Ducks are to fight back they must be Resilient,Relentless and Never Give up...For me that is what i beleive this team can do WITH or WITHOUT some of their top players. Call it a learning process it's best to wait and see by 41st and 2nd half for the Ducks to make that "Push"
Now on to other matters one including the news of NHL Realigning The league from 2 Conferences and 6 Divisons to four Conferences. I really don't care bout 3 other Conferneces at this moment. I am very happy Ducks are in a Conference A as it's called now with LA,San Jose,Phoniex,Vancouver,Calgary,Edmonton and Colorado. This is a refreshing change by the league which is why i hope Ducks will focus on creating rivalries with Vancouver*Arrogant team*,Calgary and those greasers...For as long as i remeber i always Hated the 3 Canadian western teams, Oh what the Hell i Hated ALL 7 teams that's right 7. For me i think this will create new battles Ducks will embrace and open ones with teams Ducks have history with mostly Vancouver.
Now i really do not know how in the Blue hell they are going to fix the Playoff system but i think it's wise for them to make sure it works well and not screw things up. I am looking forward to what 2012 will hold for the Ducks and NHL's New Look when 12-13 season begins. Ducks needing New Energy and New Voice!
Past week or so not to mention last month was by far the worst November our Ducks experince in a decade. For all of you who are interested in Ducks History...Montreal victory several days ago was 2nd win Ducks earn which tied for lowest wins in month of Nov since 2000-2001. To me what we have here during that turmoil was falling short of expectations we have of this team and contributions we want from Ducks Top Line. The win on last day of Nov mark the end of a era and begining of a new one...Randy Carlyle our Ducks Seventh Head Coach who as we cannot forget most successful in team history guided our Ducks to their First Stanley Cup in 2007,2nd Western Conference Championship and 1st Pacific Division Titl in 2007. It's sad to see him go but it's nature of the sport and changes have to be made for the Duck Cause.
However we should always remeber Carlyle for contributing to our Ducks greatest sucess let alone being alltime leader in wins by a Ducks Coach...Like other Former Ducks be it Players,Coachs or GM's Randy made his Mark!. As for Bruce Boudreau i beleive move to hire him was a great choice nto out of desperation but in needing a "New Voice" to guide this different Ducks Hockey Team. Bruce Almighty as i call him and others do on Ducks Main forum and elsewhere. His track record is very good and i look forward to his "Colorful expressions" towards our team and strategies he will imply. I was impresse with the way they played last nite even though they loss in OT...a Point is a 1point nothing more. But i would LOVE to have a !@#!@#!@#!@ Win.

Seeing this season through
I will not lie to you all when i say November has been a month of turnmoil for the Ducks. Nothing had have ever been expected then a win, Cannot tell you how hard it is to see the NHL West standings....14th place is not what had hope for neither all Ducksfans i know share the same feeling. One thing that needs to be spoken of is the resolve of Ducksfans worldwide...especially in Orange County and elsewhere. This losing streak is testing it,our patience is wearing thin. For all of Ducks slow starts we know and seen in team history....THIS one has been toughest to bear. Last few weeks questions have arise. Answers are demanded and need to be asked NOW. As much as we can bear changes have to revitialize this team IF Ducks need to make a early push towards the NHL West's top 8. I don't give a DAMN or care if this team tanks....BUT I RATHER if they FIGHT for every WIN as if it's THEIR LAST.
Once More we are reminder that nothing is easy for the Ducks and this struggle is a NEW one. Gone are the days when this team Fought for respect,proving naysayers wrong....Now it's bout consistency and setting things right. IF RPG line can start scoring and NOT be in this drought they are in, THEN there is hope

Critical Decisons!
I will not lie when i say this openly part of me in my soul wants this team to turn it around by dec 31st. November has become a month of turmoil and shame....Honor is lost for whatever reason makes no sense a team that can have so much talent and skill can have 1 win in a month still. Never in my life i see a team struggle in such a fashion....For once i though the days of struggle for respect when gone. But it seems this "New" Struggle is one that must be look at, consistency has plague our team like a common cold. A virus that pops up whether it happens. Win or Lose Ducks are always my Team and that of others. But it seems a new course has to be set if 11-12 season can be salvage. If a trade happens all Ducksfans must understand "Team comes FIRST". No matter how one see's it time must be used wisely for our Ducks to set things right.
6-12-4 still THAT is not good and STILL it makes me furious and uhappy. For those of you who know me from the Ducks Main forum and others reading this. I have follow this team since 1993 seen the good,bad and ugly of slow starts....This i hope will not be the bad. Our Ducks must make a critical Choice in this season in trades,waivers or changes in personal. To jumpstart the offense and kick this team into overdrive...Message must be sent to the players. 40mins effort WILL NOT BE TOLERATED EVER!. Actions spoke louder last night and it occur to me shaking up this roster may help. However Coaching change will follow too which it won't surprise me.
I cannot tell you what is wrong with this team....I have no answers,no solutions. Only ones who have it are the Players Themselves as well as Coaching staff. Whatever is the Problem in locker room has to end NOW..."Fragile" is one word i can understand from Teemu. A Veteran who has fought many battles in hockey won them and lose....when he speaks this Team should have LISTEN a long time ago. For now the Puck is in Bob Murray's court and he must make a decison NOW!.

Disapointing and Disgraceful!
Never in the my life over the past 19 years would i say a the Ducks not since Day1 win Six games. After 20 games this season 11-12 it boogles my mind,angers me to the point of being very livid that i cannot imagine how in the BLUE HELL that a team with so much talent,skill and some toughness can be at 6-10-4 16pts. As long as I remeber and i am sure majority of all Ducks fans remeber slow starts are nothing new. Yet nothing wrong if one keeps hope and expects them to have a strong start....BUT NOTHING like this i would expect to see, utterly shameful display and DIGRACEFUL that there are players that MUST be held accountable for a failure of leadership.
That leadership goes to Ryan Getzlaf who seems again and again be passive and not shooting more as we expect. All i ask of him is this 14TH PLACE RYAN...14TH !@#!@#! PLACE. This team should be in the FREAKIN TOP eight what point of leading by example DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND. As Carlyle Strategy needs to change and adapt...sure he is stubborn as a Fool but a new way of utlitizing this edition of Ducks strength which is Offense needs to be used Often to get it awaken. It saddens me abit reading the comments on some on the board of the Ducks Main forum....as much as i want to be positive their words are justified let alone i understand their anger.
Whether this team can turn it around remains to be seen. If Ducks History shows in seasons prior and the past they have made Stanley Cup playoffs few times where they had slow starts. But THIS....Really makes me question whether certain players on the bottom six needs to be sent down for seasoning and direction is needed. Playoffs or No Playoffs our Ducks CANNOT afford to be fighting like hell for a playoff spot. It's better to be strong throughout 82 games by fighting every inch of your life for wins and 2pts....Then having a uncertain outcome. What it all comes down is setting things right. Now or Never!
Tonite's game is important whether one see's it's or not. Battling a Enemy that is not only our rival but a team we hate brings to one is needed for this team to turn things around. 6-9-4 16pts i never would have though the Ducks would struggle yet falter in the early months of the 11-12 season. One Thing that we forget is in the past of our Ducks History. Seasons prior our team has made a Stanley Cup Playoffs when they endure slowstarts. But this season is a cause of concern since having 1 win out of 8 games in November is something to be worried about and demanding answers to why this team is struggling and not finding their indentity.
Path of Honor the Ducks have must be found If they are to get back on the winning track. One thing that needs to asked is leadership of Carlyle and Getzlaf. Yes I support both of them but there is nothing wrong in speaking out one's concerns on Ducks Main forum,Facebook or Twitter if things are not going well. For Me personally Final 5 games of November is important to the Ducks in regaining Lost ground and closing the gap for 8th,7th and maybe 6th place. For everything that our team has endure over the past weeks something's gotta give and must be done...I have been on the Ducks main forum talk to some on pointing fingers at Carlyle and Getzlaf....Can't blame their for their anger. yet we know as all Ducksfans and The Ducks themselves know THEY CAN DO BETTER.
What matters is this Change is needed and sometimes the toughest way toa ccept change is when adapting and new ways of getting the job done may get things done and set things right. Honor demands the Ducks not only win but be consistent 60mins no more no less!.

I am MooseDuck
These weeks have left me with answers more then ever before, most regarding whether vertigo is acting up again in Hiller or whether Getzlaf or Randy Carlyle is the problem. One thing that Ducks being 6-8-3 15pts is a reminder...a Reminder of what makes this team unqiue. Is it the Players,Colors or Orange County?...No it's a team that never say die,not giving up on themselves looking forward not back. As long as i follow be it TV,Internet radio or newspaper, it makes me think of the seasons past and present. battles,Struggles and doubt crept into Ducks Nation...Fans in Orange County to those in Canada,USA,Finland,Sweden and the world. I have been on Ducks main forum for Decade and half i have seen trolls and true blue fans to those who are know it alls. Yet i stayed......I am what i am in regards to the Ducks and their place in Hockey world. Makes me angry when those who are purist spew their hatred and disdain for the place where hockey is slowly growing. Yet i am remain.
For me this team has shaped who i am and allow me to express my passion for them on Ducks Main Forum. I am MooseDuck on Ducks Message Board and since 2001 i have seen dark times when this team was not doing well to the rising in 2003 and 2007 till today when Ducks Fans have come of age. I have no regret on my love for this team...Call me a Superfan that is who i am a Diehard who holds the Ducks as the Only team i follow. No matter where i go from Ducks MB,Facebook,Twitter and elsewhere i see Ducksfans all over and hope one day they be rabid and unified more behind the team.
I strongly beleive Ducks will turn it around this struggle is no different then last year or some years prior. Let me speak from the heart to those who are wavering remeber the past and the battles our Ducks face...they wre against all odds yet they pulled through. No matter what happens it's important we see this season through like all season prior.. That is what makes a Ducksfan even more important they win through the hardways nothing more. Leadership:Getzlaf and Selanne
For any team to win especially our Ducks leadership must bea lead by example and sometimes it's lead by actions that inspire and create bonds of respect among the players. Sometimes difference comes down to how both players proceed to show it...For Teemu years of experince and many awards be it Stanley Cup,Olympic Medalist,Calder Trophy,Rocket Trophy and Masterton winner can give advice and use words to not only motivate but give those around them a extra push to excel. It's his words that makes him special and his actions sets him apart...which is why Teemu not wearing the C is unwarrented let alone his experince gives him role of being one of the Ducks Leaders. Despite what others have ask of the Ducks giving the Captain's C to him they should know his experince make him a leader none the less.

Ducks Losing Skid and More
Nothing makes me more Livid,Angry and upset then a Team that does not put in the effort nor make ANY chance to Fight back to Win. I hate losing and what i really HATE more is losing to a ENEMY like Detroit. Going 1-3-3 is absurd it's unacceptable let alone it was not what all Ducksfans including myself expect from this team. Ducks can do BETTER and they KNOW IT, 5-6-3 13pts is not going to cut it for our team during this season. For our Ducks they MUST get Effort from ALL players not just RPG,Teemu and Fowler, But Gorden,Lydman,DSP and others. A team cannot rely on a goalie or two players too much...it can backfire at times and lead to a loss. We know this since Ducks have in the past rely too much on a few to get the job done.
One thing is certain this losing skid must be SNAPPED....it cannot be allow to continue no matter what. For the Ducks they must get contrbutions from the entire team not just for one game but all games...they may win and they may but Thing is Ducks have to battle back with Collective Will and Strength in Numbers If they are to Succeed.
Another thing i must add is lack of Leadership there will come a time when the Ducks 3 top players Perry,Getzlaf, and Ryan along with Fowler,Sbisa and others may assume full duties of Ducks Leadership. Teemu may not be a around for long but the young guns have to start taking the lead sooner then later. Reason being is mantle of leadership will be past to them for this team's success to be continue for seasons to come. Whether or not Teemu plays his last season is up to Teemu himself even though i would love him to play one more year after 11-12 but his decison is his not mine's or the Ducks. It goes without saying that for Ducks to rise they must be lead by men who are willing to speak up and be able to challenge each other. Sometimes a True Ducks Leader is one who does not need a letter on his Ducks Uni and lead by example. Instead of Coasting throughout few games night in night out.

One thing is certain this losing skid must be SNAPPED....it cannot be allow to continue no matter what. For the Ducks they must get contrbutions from the entire team not just for one game but all games...they may win and they may but Thing is Ducks have to battle back with Collective Will and Strength in Numbers If they are to Succeed.
Another thing i must add is lack of Leadership there will come a time when the Ducks 3 top players Perry,Getzlaf, and Ryan along with Fowler,Sbisa and others may assume full duties of Ducks Leadership. Teemu's Statement!
When a Ducks Legend speaks everyone listens, when it's a Hall of Famer a veteran of many games who fought and battle his way throughout the years. Then those who are in roles of leadership...esepecially the young guns of this team should heed his advice. Amidst questions on why our team lost to Washington, there is No Excuse to the Overtime Loss two nights ago. Our Ducks Lost Play and simple having a 3-0 lead and a 4-2 lead which vanish and end up with a 1pt was dishonorable let alone embrassement to Ducks Cause. Calling others among Ducks Roster out shows not only leadership but True Desire to Set things right....Did he do the Right thing? YOU BETCHA and it was nice let alone made me smile that a veteran such as himself speaks on situation the Ducks are in now is well received and Hopefully calling out certain players will wake them up.

Ducks are 4-1:Good Start
Like what i am seeing in the Ducks thus far. Even it's early with 5 games concluded it never makes me smile that our team is within striking distance of own top spot in Pacific Division. Yet Best maybe coming soon hopefully when the Ducks begin their ascend towards top of the league....Who knows what fate will hold them. They must not allow complacency to cloud their focus and role for the coming days they will face tougher challenges in our rivals in the Pacific Division, enemies within NHL West. All of us know this opportunistic must never be hinder or wasted for making it work....Ducks have to remain focus and driven by their need to fight for HONOR,Glory and Pride of Ducks Nation. Great deeds come about when players step up and take their role IF a player or two fall to injury or traded to another team......Ducks strength is and always been unity. Without Unity there is no identity,no collective will, but 23 players no more no less. Facts can be stubborn things and the fact is this team is starting to hit their mark sooner then we expected...But we must never assume too much till the Ducks achieve that objective.

Ducks Dedication:Constiency,Passion and Pride
If there is one thing we know our Ducks need in 4 days it's constinecy...Why you ask? Well it's something that is essential to our team. How many times have we seen Inconsistency?. Alot it all comes down to this team getting motivating and Finishing each game I hope will make this season different. Let's hope our Ducks do not take things for granted and allow complacency to set in. It's a weakness for all sports team of any Hockey leagues. Be it NHL,CHL,AHL or Worlds...When i think of Ducks motto on website "Dedication" 3 things i think this team must show. 1 Consistency game in and game out sometimes they win and they lose. 2.Passion would love to see Ducks play each game as if it was their last show us what makes our team exceptional. 3.Pride: One thing that we Ducksfans including myself share with the players i believe in pride in wearing the Ducks D and playing in Orange County.

Anticipation is building and just a week away our team is down to making final cuts before leaving for Helsinki. Make no mistake that our Ducks must start strong,stay united and Do not let anything stand in their way once puck drops on Oct7th. Key is as we know by now Ducks must start strong and seize any advantage presented to them. I am anxious,eager downright FIRED UP for 11-12 season to begin....like most of you on this Ducks Message board and elsewhere Countdown is a reminding of hope,optimism and determination to see this team succeed. New Edition of the Ducks remains abit of the same...don't be surprise if any new blood take roster spots. Although as each day pass it's interesting to see who makes it to the Ducks roster. Every time i look at players on this team and stats in preseason. I can't help but smile and have a sense of pride in our team shaping up. Having Pride in this team,History and what the Ducks can do gives us a sense the Best is yet to come....Knowing their Determination,Drive to succeed and Collective Will to prove haters,doubters and purists wrong. We know Ducks are up to the challenge to battle each game. What is essentially is playing full 60mins give it their all and not take ANY game for granted be it against a rival,enemy or a bottom dweller.
For many of us Ducksfans seeing milestones,witness Historic firsts being there from highs and lows,Dark times and rising. Our Ducks are exceptional not only of their name,uni's and players. Ducks Price of Success
It's been awhile since Ducks Quest for a Stanley Cup was cut short and with any loss a team must learn what needs to be done to regain glory that is change them for the better. Often with teams that have Won Stanley Cup especially the Ducks themselves must go through pains of reclaiming what is rightfully there's. Sometimes our team must go through transition from Old to young..Carrying mantle of Ducks Cause is hard to do, yet it's Worth more then each loss Ducks endure brings a learning experience to new Blood within the rank and file on roster. Be it Vets who are getting older with age to Young and up and comers...sometimes a team win some and lose some that is nature of how to become a Champion. Ducks learn this 4 years ago by claiming Stanley Cup, If our Ducks can develop the youngsters within it will make them stronger,motivated,determine and hopefully be consistent in getting the job done when playing a string of games. When i look back this season and previous one...I see transition and change for the better. Even though i prefer Ducks kept Giguere and have nieds stay for one more year....i accepted change as others in Ducks Nation.
Whatever this offseason holds for this team i hope for the best, I beleive Ducks will do what they can to get set things right,focus on defence,build 3rd line and hopefully get our team back on Track.

June 6th 2007:4 Years later
Not a day goes by when I though bout that historic Day, 4 years ago History was not only made but a new chapter began that night. What we experience in years past be it struggles for respect and Battles against overwhelming odds be it on and off the ice. From having name that was consider “Funny” to Purists and traditionalist hockey fans and look down upon. Ducks have never gave up but try to find not only a way to win but stand tall in the face of skepticism, hatred and condescension from trolls and naysayers. It’s amazing how one simple historic event changes all of us as a fanbase and Ducksfans in general. No longer we expect each season to be struggle…. Expectations is the norm now and debates on what is best for our team is pretty much out and about considering I have see much of it over the 4 years on Ducks Message Board and elsewhere.
Since that historic day we have grown as Fans of this sport and as Ducks Nation. Gone are the struggles and fear of being overwhelmed by the opposition. We now expect best from our Ducks and want nothing more then Wins and Absolute Victory. We look forward to future by remembering what made our Ducks who they are now. In retrospective Ducks and Ducksfans like us have change for the good…. you can say that moment on June 6th we came of age. Discussion we have can lead to bickering and disagreements on what is best course of action Ducks must make to win. Indeed it’s alright to agree to disagree even though we share a common passion for the Ducks and Hockey itself. Deep down we are all Ducksfans. Winning One Stanley Cup does not mean the end, it’s beginning of new chapter in Ducks History.
All those years we spent being the whipping boy of purists, naysayers and other Hockey fans alike you were told you don’t care bout Hockey and those will fail…since 1993 Ducks have fought hard to be where they are. Look at them now a team that has earn respect, Honor and continue quest to improve one’s purpose. Truly they have done a lot in 18 years, Ducksfans alike should be proud of these feats of accomplishments certainly future is promising and bright. Many of us have witness great moments from First Win and Goal to First Playoff series win and Conference Title to eventual Stanley Cup itself…”day of Great Victory as I call it is something we hold dear to our hearts and we remember clearly as if it’s yesterday. Sky is limitless for the Ducks right now, eternal glory we tasted it lead us to become immortal in Hockey.
Yet there is more to winning 1 Stanley Cup. It’s not the end of our success nor is it a destination. That night open a new chapter with everlasting purpose engrain in all of us Ducks Nation, never giving up amidst uncertainty of past issues that we are relentless as our team to pursue greatness through hard work and Honor…it’s that trait and history set’s us apart Dedication is something our team strives for and must set in motion. Personally it’s a character quality our team must use. This was done before and can be achieved once more. Witnessing Milestones Team Firsts one can say “I was there when Ducks won the Cup” to “I was there at First game and win”. Hating NHL West's 3 teams
San Jose,Detroit or Vancouver...It's hard to say who should i root for of course i never care nor like the teams Ducks have a history with. Battles they had with these teams were not only tense but important considering history they have with our Ducks in the past. Whether it be Rivarly with San Jose, Feud with Detroit or Putting up with BS of Vancouver fans. One thing is certain imho i will NOT cheer for any team coming out of the Western Conference. Put it this way I don't WANT all three teams to succeed. San Jose would love to see them fall in a epic way,Detroit love to see them be embrass and humliated...as for Vancouver what can i say as Canadian i love Hockey,Ducks and 67's I do not want to be put up with "Bring Cup back to Canada" BS.

My Thoughs on Ducks Offseason
It's been weeks since Ducks were eliminated sometimes one has to wonder where this team will go from here. I for one looking at who Ducks will pursue at Free agency and maybe players at the Draft, then again it sucks that Ducks elminated in first round first time in 3 years is something i never would like to see. But as always it's price to pay for Success this team has tasted in years past. besides first round loss against Nashville there were positives in accomplishments of Players be it Perry,Selanne,Fowler and Lubo. What really stands out is team defied the odds by overcoming adversity, from 0-4 start to earning a spot in the Playoffs when many predicting they wont'. What makes this season good is they did it without having Hiller the no1 goalie in lineup. Not able to play and with suffering from vertigo is something i can't imagine Hiller is going through. But i wish him the best hoping he returns....but credit has to be given to two goalies who guided the Ducks towards post-season. Ray Emery and Dan Ellis both goalies have do well including Emery. Even though Ray was a sens who Ducks beat 4 years ago did very well in contributing to the Ducks 2nd half season.
Truly sting of disappointment and pain of loss is still there. One has to look ahead and not dwell on the past that is 10-11 season which was unpredictable and imho crazy. Whatever happens this offseason i believe Ducks will look at three important things in regards to Free agent frenzy and NHL Draft. 1. Replenish their Talent pool in the system,drafting best players is important to build on. Defeat To Give Value To Victories
There are alot of things to say tonite let alone it is dishearten and sad to see Ducks lose in first round. Tough one to stomach considering all adversity this team has overcame since Day 1. As much as many of us are still in shock some shed a tear when buzzer sound, There is nothing to be ashame bout this team or players on it. Personally one has to look at roadblocks they have overcome to get as far as where they are. This Loss will motivate Ducks from Players to Front office in what needs to be done. Yes this team is all Offense and Defence is rebuilding,Goaltending is a question mark. Those of you know this team is far from becoming great.....I personally feel deep down with right develop the Core players on Ducks will be able to move forward and learn from what has happen in this series.

Ducks Decisions have paid off
Whether it's signing Lilja at the begining of 10-11 season, to Signing Emery and trading for Ellie in respond to Hiller out with Vertigo.Decisons made by our Ducks in they gamble on has paid off in regards to roadblocks and slow starts this team has gone through over the past few months. Of course one cannot forget the progess and Choice Ducks made in starting Cam Fowler this season. It's amazing he has done well in his first year....9G 28assist 37pts. He has contributed timely goals be it OT winner in 5-4 Win over calgary and Dallas in 4-3 OT win or his first goal as a Duck and NHL against Phoniex.
One thing is certain you gotta give credit to Murray and Carlyle for sticking to their guns and allowing the Ducks Resiliency to be strengthen by the choices made towards turning a season around at times that may end up chaotic or falling short of the goal at hand. But it does not take away the fact Ducks 2nd half has and always be their strongest asset as with their 4-on-4 hockey.
Fate has guided the Ducks back towards Playoffs all it needs is our Ducks to make things offical. As with Decisions each of them holds the fate and creates a path our team must cross.

Ducks this week and the road ahead.
Ducks control their fate and we know they are in the driver's seat this week. Team knows what must be done and is expected of them to achieve a spot in NHL West's top 8 and secure a Post-season berth. Need is to use our strengths not only to set the tone but not let 3 teams standing in our Ducks way gain ANY momentum during this week. If the Ducks control what they have....It must come from all players united for a single goal and a clear purpose. Everyone from Ducksfans to Ducks themselves must come to realize these 3 games will determine the path they take. What it comes down to proving naysayers and Haters wrong. Honor gives Ducks a Driven Purpose,Pride is how we appreciate and admire history of our Team and Ducks Nation growing each month. Glory comes down to becoming not only Immortal in Winning but absolute Victory against our enemies and rivals in NHL West.
Truth is plain as day Ducks not only have to stay in the 7th,8th or whatever seed they finish. They MUST finish the season strong and continue momentum towards setting things right. Ducks vs LA:Epic battle between Rivals
If there is one word to describe importance of the Ducks/LA rivarly game tommorow it's Epic......Epic in importance of where Ducks will go from here. Yet amidst the rollercoaster of 10-11 our team Must make not only a STATEMENT but show LA true meaning of fear by making their time on ice absolutle Nightmare. 38-27-5 81pts is good but not good enough if our team has to break through and earn the spot for post-season. One thing that seperates our Ducks from the queens is the success and hard work this team fought for to earn not only glory but honor. Stanley Cup Championship,2 Western Conference Championships, Pacific Divison Championship,7 Stanley Cup Playoff appearances and two Stanley Cup Finals Appearance in 18 years is something many of us know to be proud of...Compare to LA which continues season after season of floundering one has to how 40 years can make this team hate us even more.

Leaving my heart,Mind,Body and soul in Orange County
As i look arcoss the Honda Centre aka Ponda i am left with a imprint on my heart and Soul. Ducks have never seize to amaze me once more the people i met during my six days have founding a unique impression on me. From Comebackteemu to Powerplayer Amanda. I have also was able to visit the Mission to put myself in those who live in the past...It was a beautiful site with a interesting history on Califorina as a whole...Once more i get to see the beautiful of the Areas in San Juan Capistrano,Anaheim, Irvine and Tustin. Taking pics and best of all getting Autographs of Teemu Selanne and Cam Fowler. Not to mention their pics too....I am left with absolute Happiness and joy at what i have seen,witness and watched Ducks Hockey so far. From Ducks winning 2 out of 3....Two wins being two Epic victories to the Weigh-ins and sound of Mexican Music for the Alvarez-Hatton Fight. The Atmosphere and positive upbeat of it's people....from Acjahmen i have met in SJC to eating at RA Sushi where the Ducks Sushi roll event occured. I am forever grateful and hope one day to able to live in such a wonderful place as Orange County.
To the folks i have not met i will return and hope to see you soon. Things move fast and those who live in O.C and watch our Ducks should be blessed but appericate Unique team that is front of us. Coming to Anaheim
Alot of things are going through my mind tonite. a Ducks epic win in OT,Seeing Honda Centre while flying over Orange County and taking a trip to the Mission for Personal reasons and interests. To be honest coming back and enduring the turbulence and shakiness was outweight by the Sight of the Ponda. I cannot tell you but i feel like i am home,Comfortable seeing the Ducks,People and looking around this great County. Honestly if you had met me i was in a euphoric happiness of seeing this team i follow in my youth and right to my adult age. Every moment i am here and at home in Halifax I think of those i met...Ducks who autograph my jeresy,took a pic with,talking to those who share my love,My passion and eternal loyalty to this team and Hockey....It's like i never left. As a old friend would say to me......It's like a old hat. Indeed i am always and will be humble being here from 2 to 7 days each year to reading bout events in Orange County. I am very happy and honor to know the people who enjoy this sport no matter what.

Moment of Truth
Be it through adversity or doing things the hardway. Odds are stacked against our team how will our Ducks answer back now on losing skid of 4 games. It all remains to be seen in the final weeks of the season. Trade i welcome in hopes it gives this team a boost in not only experience but a spark that will jumpstart Ducks Offense and Defence into turning things around. I know many on demoralized and question on whether Ducks make it or not is floating around....suffice to say everything after season or maybe season concludes must be ANSWER. However NHL West being so chaotic i must admit it is unpredictable on where this team will finish since everything is up in the air.
Losing skid should not cloud the Ducks judgment nor should it cloud ours....Last I check THERE is still some Hockey left and Ducks to make up lost ground IF they are to make it to the Playoffs. Whether they can get in remains to be seen...It all comes down to Collective will and desire to succeed. Issue of Goaltending with Addition of Ellis i hope will be solved tomorrow. As for Defence Corps THEY HAVE to get their ACT together in supporting the goalie. There is no turning back now for our Ducks every game is a MUST-WIN and everyone must step up that's including Getzlaf,Perry,Ryan,Fowler,McMillan,Sbisa,Sutton,Beauchemin,Lilja and hopefully Hiller once he returns.
Hopefully when the Ducks turn things around they will Fight for not only their hockey lives but Honor,Pride and Defiance till the Bitter end.

Ducks Trip:Week from now
I will be flying over to Orange County to see the Ducks Live once again for the 5th time in 4 years. It seem like yesterday and it felt as if i never left Orange County. Since my first trip to see the Ducks in March 8th and 10th 2007.....i always felt at home watching the Ducks play,beating down their rivals and winning over their opponents. Win or lose i always was drawn to the Ducks and Honda Centre*Ponda*. You know it always felt as my home....the people, the city and County is truly a sight to see. Ponda itself is a amazing place i adore like the Ducks i keep track of events going on from Cain Veslaquez winning ufc Heavyweight belt to basketball tourneys in the Good ol O.C.
I am hopeful by the time i arrive Ducks have regain lost ground and are back in the playoff hunt. Everything is unpredictable in the NHL West it's hard to expect what is next. Then again as i said on the Ducks Message Board it's the "New Normal". Whatever place Ducks maybe i know it is testing resolve of Ducksfans. Playoffs or no playoffs it is our duty as Ducksfans to see this season through.

Ducks in 5th Place
28-20-4 60pts....There is alot to smile bout seeing our Ducks has finish the first month of 2011 on a winning Note.Ducks know clearly in final 30 games they must move forward SWIFTLY and aggressively in closing the gap with Dallas and earn a Playoff spot. Collectively they must Win as one but contributing together and standing shoulder to shoulder AGAINST the odds or not win it all. Offense is spread out once Getzlaf returns....Whatever Ducks do I BELEIVE in my heart they should not let their Guard down from here till april every game,every team is and always is not only important BUT a Do or Die. For now let's enjoy the break and hope Ducks pick up where they LEFT off. There is still alot of Hockey to be played from here till end of april.
I look forward to seeing the Ducks SMASH and destroy Detroit,Dallas and Vancouver. All 3 games i attend imho are statement Games this team must make against the NHL and our Rivals in Pacific Division and NHL West. Facing a old friend and Montreal Reunion
Demoralizing loss annoy the frak out of me in seeing the team lose to a bottom-Dweller. It seems like a bad trend that needs to be SNAPPED quickly. However last nite's game was a meeting of old friend between the pipes on other side of the ice for the Ducks. Jean-Sebastien Giguere a name known to many of Ducks nation especially die-hard was Goaltender that contributed so much to Ducks Cause, for me personally he was goaltender who started his career in my hometown playing for Halifax Mooseheads. At that time Mooseheads were successful Expansion team in the Q who. His presence for the past 9 seasons and 10 years left a impact on our team that will forever be remember by all Ducksfans.
Who could forget some of the memorable moments from Raising his glove up in the air with Puck in hand showing defiance towards Red Wings in 2003 Stanley Cup Playoffs....To contributing and leading Ducks to Stanley Cup Championship in 2007. I have read alot of positive posts regarding Giggy in past years from his positive apporach to Ducksfans to respect he earn as number1 goalie during his tenure. I can't help but feel the connection between My Ducks and Hometown which has connections to The team love and follow all those those years.....Yet to honor his memory and tenure we must move forward by remebering the glory he brough to the Ducks. Alltime leader for Ducks goalies in wins,GAA,Shutouts and his memorable shutouts. He will be saluted for his effort.
Another topic i must bring up before allstar weekend is Saku Koviu returning to where he began his NHL Career. Before he came to the Ducks his tenure as Captain was respectable one and he gain respect of Habs fans for his battle with Cancer...When i brought this up even though i never paid attention to the NHL East since it never concerns my Ducks cept signings or Trade is the fact i have tolerate some of the teams and hated others. Montreal i use to hate but tolerate but T.O oh how i HATE them for they are. Anyways Koviu did alot for Montreal on and off the ice from what folks in my hometown has told me including those i know who are passionate fans of the team be it 2nd or 4 generation. Tommorow nite i look forward to the game not because of this reunion but Ducks need to bounce back.....AGAIN from a terrible loss.

Ducks 2nd half push
If there is one thing that shows many Ducksfans this season it's 2nd half they are strong in their push for post season and Stanley Cup Playoffs. Suffice to say 10-11 season can be describe abit well rollercoaster as it did with 09-10 disapointing season and previous one before. Let's not forget years past Ducks sneaked in and made case to earn a spot in Stanley Cup Playoffs. Doubt seem to always creep whether our team can make it or not into Postseason....at times we should be reminded of Ducks struggles and willingness to overcome adversity,Naysayers and hatred of others. Adversity has always been with this team since the begining, when our team faced namecalling and were called joke of the NHL to self-denying vicious statements of those Hockey trolls who come on Message Board and elsewhere to make smart-ass comments by making a fool out of themselves.
Anyhow what it all comes down is imho the need for our Ducks to win more then 3 games. 3 game winning streak is good but it's not enough to get us over the course of a Tight NHL Western Conference Playoff race that is unpredictable for us all. Happy New Year and thoughs on What Ducks will do next
Alot of things happen over past week and half First off let me aplogize for not updating Blog been busy with christmas and New Year's celebrating with Family and Friends.Ducks winnning 3 straight to kick off end of 2010. Losing to Nashville and questions on what will Ducks do next. Let's start off with 1st half of 10-11 season. even though Ducks have begun their 17th season slow as unfortunaly they do which is never good they have been inconsistent which draws on questions of whether or not RC is able to get players motivated....Positive thing was Cam Fowler assuming his duties on Ducks Blueline. Thing i find interesting bout his style of play was his simliar play as of Ducks former Captain Scott Niedermayer. Although it's been debated by Know it all assholes that seem to disagree i do beleive with right defence pairing he can achieve great things in his carreer. It's amazing how one forgets he is only 19.
