Anaheim Ducks:2012 Year in Review

So much has gone by over the past 12 months and over these months we have endure a Disappointing season,Promise by the New Blood in Palmieri,Etem and few others to the NHL Lockout that is delaying and denying our celebration and hope for the new year 2013. If there is one word to describe our Ducks Year it's this....Hope. For days, weeks and even months we have seen New Blood take shape be it in the early months of 2012 which I saw first-hand in March some of the Ducks young Guns getting experience with the Big Club when our team was fighting against all odds to earn a sport in 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Sometimes I admit I let my passion run wild let alone my anger get the best of me from time to time in 2012 but that is who I am and cannot change it like others who take a more..."Logical approach". 2012 would mark first time we see a Enemy won the Stanley Cup. That enemy being our Rival LA Kings who team after team hoping they can stall their onslaught that's winning the Stanley Cup. Sadly and unfortunely the dream Kings fans had became reality much to mine disdain in seeing each King hoist the Stanley Cup....Yes I hate LA and Am not ashame of it. But seeing LA become 2nd California team win Stanley Cup has made our rivalry with them even more intense. If this season had started I would have like Nothing more then our Ducks Smash LA to dust but make their season a living Hell. Sadly what could have been a important season due in part since 12-13 would mark 20 Years of Ducks Hockey we are dragged through like Anaheim Ducks and other NHL Fans in Hockey World through a Lockout which imho is a crisis and could have been avoidable. Believe me I was hoping this Lockout never happen yet it did...For me personally I was hoping to see Hockey in Dec yet fate dealt Hockey a bad hand. It never seize to amaze me once Lockout began people be it on Ducks Message Board try to predict the outcome that is worst and others who made Comments on TSN show alot of Pessimal in these Talks. What bugs me the most and it never surprise me is Purist mentality of several Hockey fans in Facebook, twitter,TSN and other who once again speak on the need to "Contraction" to Anti-American BS that is STILL rampant on some Hockey fans in Canada's mindset. As I speak now NHL and NHLPA are still talking which I feel could be the end of this Crisis that has denied our Ducks a 20th anniersay and Teemu to say Farewell and mentor Next Generation of Ducks who are in the system. Teemu Selanne's return to Winnpeg was something I wanted to see. As avid Ducksfan it gave me goosebumps to see the Tribute let alone I remember it was yesterday when TSN in Feb6th 1996 it shock me for awhile which I feel was biggest trade in Ducks History right till when Pronger got traded to our Ducks. Emotions the feeling of seeing People clapping and chanting Teemu...........It left speechless and respect the People of Winnipeg for still remembering this Finnish Hockey star who came over 2 decades ago. As this Year winds down to 2013 marking our Ducks 20 years I cannot feel abit of Content,Joy,little regret and sometimes Hope. For Lockout to end and our Ducks to be re-invigorated with youth of our New Blood coming up the system. Here is my top five Anaheim Ducks Moments of 2012 following is listed 1 to five. 1.Teemu Selanne's Return to Winnipeg:Tribute Vid send chills down my spine if that does not move you what will. 2.Young Ducks contribution to Norfolk Admirals. 3.LA Winning the Stanley Cup:Now why I put this at Number3 you say...It's simple when LA Won it meant one thing for our Ducks the need to take back the Stanley Cup and Dominate Once the season starts I want the Ducks to go for the Throat. 4.Ducks Draft 6th Overall:With a disapointing season Ducks getting 6th in top ten since 2005 left a bitter taste in our mouths and reminder of our team need to revamp, reload and re-charge for the future....Drafting Hampus Lindholm was a surprise then again one can never know what surprise our Ducks can do at the Draft. 5.Ducks agreeing to Alliance with Norfolk aka New Farm team:Perfect fit for both enough said. Here's hoping that 2013 will be blessing for the Ducks and for all in Ducks Nation for Me personally I want to say this to those reading it be from Anaheim Ducks Message Board,Facebook and Twitter...Those in Orange County to Finland and beyond Happy New Year and Lets Hope when Hockey return Ducks will RISE AGAIN ONCE MORE! Christmas Message to all Ducks Fans!

As we enjoy our Christmas Holiday be it United States,Canada,Finland and Sweden let us Remember the year that was for our Ducks. Even though they did not make the post season in 2012 and going through a period of change, It's at times important amidst NHL Lockout and the turmoil that is going on to enjoy the greatest team sport in the world. Past 12 months I have been thinking and wondering what the future holds for our team. Often for me being one of the long term Ducks Message Board posters I let my passion take the best of me in a forum that has new Folks and wiser Ducks Fans in our Fanbase. However 10 days ago we observe and celebrate our Ducks 20th anniversary and when the clock struck 12 I reflected on the many years, months, days and weeks following this team. Meeting New People who share my passion and truly come to understand the flaws of being a avid Fan. Those who criticism me do not bother what I say at times I let it stick....Personally thinking back We as Ducks Fans have grown alot over the years,we endure name-calling,mocking,trolls invading our Message Boards,Facebook,Twitter and elsewhere to agree to disagree on who the Ducks trade or not. I have come to regret certain actions But I Understand that one's Passion can be unyielding and like a Sword it needs to be forge with optimism,Hope and maybe some reason. All of us within Ducks Nation on this Christmas day remember their memories of Ducks Victories,Loss,Ties and eternal moments that inspire us to do great things, meet new people and love Hockey even more. 2012 for the Ducks will be remember for Teemu's Return to Winnipeg to Hiring of Bruce Bourdeau down to NHL Lockout that has imho delayed a Historic Milestone for the Ducks and All Ducks fans. Yet Christmas is always a celebration of not only the birth of Jesus but appreciation of the team and sport we love. So Much talk bout whether this Lockout(Crisis) will end remains to be seen But I Feel we may get a late Christmas gift when a deal is done and a 48 game schedule begins. You know it never seize to amaze me that so many Ducks Fans have upbeat optimism for that I have no regret in meeting people whether it be on Ducks Message Board,Face to face or on facebook sharing the love of this great team and great sport. I am always joyful,Happy and Proud I met DucksFans in OC and elsewhere who support this team 110%. Growth of the sport is small but Slowly I hope it will grow in next 20 years.........Till then what lay ahead is the future and from the bottom of my Heart I want to say to all Ducksfans who read this. Merry Christmas and be Proud of the team and Sport. God Bless you all. DuckPride 4ever MooseDuck

Ducks Hockey:20 Years ago this week

I remember as if it was yesterday...Dec 10th 1992 it was announce the NHL would grow to 2 teams 1 in Florida another in Anaheim which makes California having 3 teams in the NHL. One thing I remember was feeling curious that a team named after Movie was going to become reality. People would laugh at the name and hearing what people say "Hockey would never work in America especially in California". As that day approach marking 20 years of Ducks being in the NHL I cannot help but reflect on the past years and seasons....Not to mention the Lockouts that have occurred. Including This one in 2012-2013 which threatens to delay What I feel is a Anniversary our Ducks especially Ducks Fans should celebrate. Yet we are awaiting what will happen after this Lockout 3rd in 8 years will end. There are moments that we cherish over the years from the Stanley Cup Victory to the first win be it season or post season to MVP awarded to Corey Perry. our team has battle through adversity, overcame all odds stacked against and yet we endure. When Franchise was awarded to the Ducks I felt it was a team that I can get behind on even though those Unis from the movie was ugly. However as the months past with debut of the Mighty Ducks Logo and Colors and expansion Draft results it laid foundation for what was to come. If I had regrets standing behind the team I say no. For those 20 years it made me realize that Hockey was for everyone no matter where they are from and who they are. It should Never EVER be excluded to one nationality. Thus If one asks why I like the Ducks it's cause of the Newness of their Identity which was Unique to this very day and the Players they drafted,Traded and of course Signed. My Passion for them that started that day lead me to visit Orange County, Meet new Friends and realize that Hockey can grow in a Non-traditional market we made enemies on the ice be it Detroit,LA,Vancouver,Edmonton,Calgary and Toronto not to mention Nashville who remains a thorn on our side. But off the Ice I have come to respect fans who maybe Detroit or LA and even Toronto. What matters is this as we look back at our Unique Past we must NEVER FORGET what draws in and never forget those Off-Ice Personal who make the fan experience positive be it Powerplayers,Wild Wing,Ducks Street team all the way to the retail store clerks and cashiers. These are the Ducks personal that are important to the ground game as the Players. As Much as we blame both owners and players we cannot lose sight or Interest into the fact Lockout is OUT of our team's control. However as much there is defeatism going On I still a season can be saved. Better to have a short season then no season. As for this historic moment I give toast to all Ducks Fans within Ducks Nation be it Orange County,Helsinki and yes Canada for 20 years and hope the next 20 will be a blessing for the Ducks Cause. Ducks,Teemu opens a steak house and World Junior Hockey Championships

One can expect and ask "Why is a Canadian cheering for the USA Juniors instead of Canada"?. Well two reasons I can bring to your attention and some info you all need to know 1.Ducks Prospect in John Gibson is returning to perhaps earn his spot on the USA Roster I firmly believe that in time we see him maybe as heir apparent to Jonas Hiller. I have been keeping tabs on him and so far he is doing very well in Ontario League being 12-6-1. 2. Is My admiration and appreciation of talent in United States. Seeing players coming from SoCal,Nevada and Texas once consider "Wasteland" of Hockey Purists in Canada whom I hate and at times have disdain for prove to me that Hockey is not only for everyone but can work in places like Orange County California or Texas. Consider and look at the facts of how well they have done over the past few years. Gold(2004,2010),Silver(1997) and Bronze(2007,2011) I am looking at maybe a team ready to redeem itself better yet looking to avenge disappointments of 2011. Ever since I came back from Anaheim 5 years ago I have come to respect Hockey south of the border more especially in non traditional markets cept a few. Be it AHL,ECHL or perhaps in Junior ranks I always believe Hockey is for Everyone...Just like Judo or BJJ. Speaking of the WJC besides Gibson 3 more Ducks Prospects were name to Sweden....Lindholm who is playing with Admirals,Rakell in Plymouth and William Karlsson in Sweden were name to Junior National team this week. If My guess is correct they are shoe-ins for defending Champs who I was very happy to see them knockout Russia. Having the four Ducks Prospects at this Event gives many of us a glimpse at those who will carry the mantle of the Ducks Cause towards Greatness,Honor and Pride. Of course Canada naming it's Prelim Roster makes it interesting since two of the players are from my Hometown Halifax Mooseheads. One I hope will be there for the Ducks to Select out of the list of Five I have on my Candidates list. Another Note I like to speak on and it's Ducks Legend Teemu Selanne. Stanley Cup Champion,National Hero,Mutli-Olympic Medalist,All-time Ducks Leader in Points,Goals and other Categories Now Restaurant Owner of a local OC Pub in Laguna Beach. It shows as we know Teemu always gives back to the community which I am happy...Proud to get his Autograph and Photo and I hope to eat there Soon next Year IF a Season starts and when I start to see how when I total my finance's. Watching and waiting in hoping the CBA Lockout crisis is over I hope we may see the Ducks Rise again and once more surprising everyone in Hockey world no more no less. DuckPride 4ever MooseDuck

Anaheim Ducks Fans:Seeing History as it unfolds

In regards to what we see in our team,Be it the Players,Prospects,Mascot,Powerplayers and past coaches. One has to reflect on the good, bad and ugly....as You all know be being a east coast Fan many of you west coast would think. "is this guy Nuts for saying what he says". I am very unapologetic for my Passion for the Ducks and my views of the sport in General. Yet I see a team who's future is not only bright but growing with each passing season and game. I must confess for Ducks Fans like ourselves be it those in Orange County and others outside of the state what makes us different is we know the history of the team,Sport and moments we cherish we remember as if it was yesterday. I think in all what we see is a sport growing in areas that are non-traditional. Ducks becoming First California team to Win the Stanley Cup,five years later La winning it this year. This makes the sport grow even more and the war between the Ducks and our enemies in LA even more intense. Breaking down what we have witness, endure and able to move forward three words describe Ducks Fans in general. Classy,Young(as in growing in knowing the sport) and Supportive. No matter what we have to embrace what the future lay ahead for the "Ducks Cause" and for us as Ducks Nation. As a Matter of What whenever this season starts. One thing we always do....is agree to disagree on what is the "best Course" our Ducks must do to improve themselves be it "Trading Bobby Ryan" which I had mixed feelings for till situation with Giguere and Hiller in 2010. I always felt no matter how many times be it the Ducks Message Board,Facebook,Twitter or elsewhere we always stand shoulder to shoulder to support the team through thick and thin. Since this season should have been the Ducks 20th we must remember the past, appericate the present and look forward to the future. But Once lockout settles down we need to support those off the ice then those on. Without retail store clerks,Cashiers,Powerplayers and Ushers we would not have the fan experience that is unique to us. I do imho have walk the halls of Ponda thinking back to events and ask myself "Will the Ducks be a powerhouse"....You bet I believe they will. Let not us forget that Ducks History is OC history but History that Ducks Fans made as a whole. DuckPride 4ever MooseDuck

My Concerns and Hopes for the Anaheim Ducks!

If our Ducks are to move forward in honouring the Past and adjusting to the Influx of youth within our Ranks. they must look at the concerns in trying to improve the team yet do what is needed to have our New Blood. Make no mistake IF this season started the Ducks would have players like Palmieri,DSP,Holland and maybe Etem. I am patient in hoping he develops well as with Sami vatenen. One of most important concerns is 2nd scoring which is a issue we know correctly and clearly. For our Ducks having injection of youth brings out the best in having our offense getting a shot in the arm. Having at least one Young Duck with two vets can beneficial in giving him time to develop let alone hone his skills while adjusting to the NHL. It may also work if let say two Young Ducks with a vet. This happen before when Getz and Pears was on a line with Todd Fedoruk.....Can it happen again?. I believe it would. Size matters for this team...5 years ago it along with "Ruthless Aggression" and "Strength in Numbers" give us the edge in winning our First Stanley Cup,Before that it was "Hold the Line" during the transition of one generation to another for the "Ducks Cause". We can debate on what player needs to be added but we know in our hearts that in order for the Ducks to succeed they must b revitalize, reinvigorated by new Blood let alone a renewed sense of purpose. Dedication requires the Ducks to hit the ground running,Hope is Ducks Fans be inspire and support this team no matter what. We know what will happen be it Teemu Selanne or Getz and Pears final year....All of it is connected to the "Future" awaiting their chance in chomping at advancing our sphere of influence. I have Faith as we should from O.C to Finland the Ducks will once CBA settles RISE AGAIN ONCE MORE!. DuckPride 4ever MooseDuck

Young Ducks Progress and Ducks Nation

If one looks at the stats of many of our team's Prospects be it with the Admirals and beyond it's very clear all signs point to IF when the season starts and CBA Crisis ends....our Ducks will be on the upswing. Emerson Etem,DSP,Peter Holland,Kyle Palmieri,Vatenen and many more. I always have faith and confidence let alone joy that our Ducks will pass the Torch to the Next Generation. It has with Niedermayer Retiring and Cam honing his skills during his first and Yes 2nd year in the NHL. I know reading comments of some be it Ducks Message Board and elsewhere patience is at a holding pattern. Yet Patience is sometimes limited after a few months...We cannot lose sight of the facts our Ducks will have several players hunger, eager, determine and driven to succeed. Greater desire a player has is to strive for what he will do to achieve greatness. We seen it happen is sports and with some players who wore the Ducks Uniform with honour,Pride and respect. Having 5 of the Ducks Top Prospects contributing is something to behold and wait for till Puck Drops for NHL to being. Hopefully Etem will pick up the pace and get the groove going since he has only 3 goals in 12 games. It amazes me after all we have gone through we are still here....19 years going on 20. Some agree and may disagree with my Passion but I always appreciate those who stand by their words let have a different view of where this team should move in achieving greater perhaps permanent greatness. As Ducks Fans we expect them to do what is needed to win no matter what....sometimes end results lead to us disagree and at times not respecting one's views whether this player should or should not be traded or sign for. Whatever case or petty arguments that exist or no longer have merit we are all Ducks Fans through and through. Whatever we disagree we always have a tendency to agree to disagree Still have my fingers cross and hope a things will get better for our team as the old saying goes "FUTURE IS NOW". and Ducks Fans we have something to hope and look forward as of now. Young Ducks showing their stuff and latest CBA Thoughs!

If there is one thing that everyone knows it's tough to defend a championship title. Be it Stanley Cup,Calder Cup or World Hockey Championship....one has to look at the past to know this trend. But seeing the Ducks Farm team in Norfolk shows the Admirals maybe bucking that trend....Influx of Ducks Prospects and youth within the system has galvanize and gives them that drive to prove something. Of course this Admirals Team flys under the Ducks Banner they are different then the ones who won it all last season. Being 5-1 and at the top of one of the divisions in AHL brings alot of competition and maybe intense battles in months ahead. Good and disappointing with this team well...let me say this I am pleased with some prospects who have done well, while others I am not pleased. First off the Good it makes me happy that one of the Ducks Top young D-men within the roster is doing well. 6 games in Sami Vatenen has prove he can adjust to the North American style of Hockey...2Goals 5 Assists 7pts what can you say bout him but be pleased by his stats. Holland,Palmerei,DSP and Maroon has shown they are honing their skills maybe Maroon will get a look IF the season beings or not. Bobkov being 3-0 and Anderson shows he can hang in North American game....proves to us Ducks made the right choice in selecting him. Disappointment I have is Emerson Etem. I have hopes he would hit the ground running yet I think either adjusting abit and coaching decisions really has kept him off the score sheet over past 6 games. Another is Brandon McMillan was hoping he can kick it up a notch but it seems he like Etem will take time to hit the ground running. IF this NHL Lockout did not happen rest assure we will see several of the admirals aka Baby Ducks striving to succeed in advancing the Ducks Cause. Optimistic I still am But know this I feel both sides are playing office politics that has bad consequences for the sport in Canada and USA not to mention other nations as a whole. I think with all that happen we need to understand that lack of leadership is giving the players and some owners a bad name...However I am hopeful that when season begins Ducks are ready to dish out RUTHLESS PUNISHMENT!. Ducks on the Block:4-0 in Norfolk

If we know our Future is bright then we as Ducks Fans in Orange County and else well know it that in Norfolk we are getting a glimpse of the Ducks New Blood honing their skills and talents in AHL. NHL Still in Lockout crisis several players have caught my eye during the first four games. Vatenen,Elkins and Palmieri have impress me with their stats let alone effort in giving our Ducks Farm team a good start. Others like Bodie 2g 2a 4pts,Maroon 3Goals 3pts. It gives me hope that we may see these Ducks wearing the Ducks D hopefully this season or next we see them ready to advance the cause of our team. Positive is Vatanen 1g 5a 6pts,Elkins 3goals 1a 4pts along with Palmieri being the leading scoring things seem to be on the right track....For now. Negatives is having Etem who I believe is NHL Ready being scoreless while playing four games, disappointing as it was I am hopeful he will pick things up as season progress. One can say looking at the roster our Farm team is stacked with talent be it Ducks Prospects,Free agents and other players in our system. Influx of these players provides alot in injecting some spark in the Ducks offense which was needed last season. Thing bout this is for our Prospects having a good start gives motivation, determination and desire to succeed. Most I believe are NHL Ready and others are proving they want to be with the Ducks. Whether we have a Full or shorten season we must hope our Ducks Youth will be able to get season of NHL under the belt. Goal has and always been for any NHL Player be it American,Canadian,Finn or Swede along with a few others to succeed. What I really do feel it's important to note is how successful Admirals are in a state like California that is a non-traditional market as our Ducks are in NHL. For 11 years they have shown like our Ducks they too can thrive with 3 basic points that any Hockey team can do. 1.Sign good players 2.spread the word of the team and 3.Win games. How they go about remains to be soon but I am sure we will see some of our Baby Ducks soon enough. It's only a matter of time. DuckPride 4ever MooseDuck

NHL's Latest Offer:50/50 Revenue sharing:Common Sense

My Thoughts on this is simple and direct. This is a Common Sense Deal worthy and equal for both sides to agree on. Good start Hell it is since 50/50 is a sticking point for both sides and hopefully put an end to this Crisis. But one thing is made clear and should be noted.......Decision rests with the NHLPA since imho it will tell us Ducks Fans and those in the NHL What their "True Intentions" are. For weeks I firmly suspect and knew that this delay is nothing more then office politics in nature....Why you ask? I personally believe that the PA wants to force the Owners to get rid of Betteman. God Forbid if the PA decides to reject it since it will be a Boneheaded foolish move by them on their part. Yet I hope and Believe common Sense will prevail If not it seems their intentions are clear in forcing Betteman out and holding the NHL and the season hostage. Whatever happens I am ready and fully prepare for the Ducks to UNLEASH HELL and see the Future restore Honor,Greatness and Sheer Determination back to the Ducks Cause. Furthermore It would be better for both sides IF a deal is done to give the off ice workers from Cashiers,Retail Clerks,Concession stand workers and ice crews a raise. Two lockouts is a stinger and insulting to those who Gave their time to make the NHL Experience Special. Cutting tickets to 10 no wait 15 percent would be suffice in getting NHL Fans back. Finally and I do finally I think it would be better decisons at end of a season IF CBA is settle then Ducks Future is Truly NOW....IF not I am not going to think of it. We should wait and see what the PA does...IF they accept then our Ducks will begin their quest. IF not then NHLPA has lost all credibility in my eyes. DuckPride 4ever MooseDuck

Ducks Future and Past:Passion Connected

Looking at the roster of the admirals most of them Ducks Prospects and Players who will wear the Ducks D in the future. I cannot reflect on the past while awaiting the future. Oct 8th 19 years ago our Ducks played their first ever NHL Game....doing battle with their future Enemy Detroit Red Wings. Hebert was in Net and Sean Hill scored the first goal in Ducks History. It seem like yesterday that with a New Team they had a Logo and Unis that were unique and different it drew some Hockey fans to them. Those days were of struggle and a of defiance against a hockey establishment who saw our Ducks as a Joke. Remebering past Ducks like Troy Loney,Sean Hill,Ron Tugnutt,Antoli Semenov,Alexi Kastonov,Terry Yake and Bobby Dollas not to mention Joe Sacco...These were the predecessors who shaped the Ducks and began the path towards greatness. Sometimes in the past like the present Ducks fought to the end be it Winning or Losing. However like all players that either were traded or signed elsewhere another takes it's Place. As the years go by and seasons past on into NHL Record books and etched in Hockey History. We see New generation of Ducks arriving shorty IF the Lockout is fixed. Guys like Etem,DSP,Lasach,Brandon MacMillan,Dan Sexton,John Gibson and many others honing the skills in Norfolk and beyond. One has to believe that sooner or later these Young Guns will assume the mantle of the Ducks Cause as did Getzlaf,Perry,Ryan,Hiller,Fowler and Sbisa not long ago. Let's take into a account that Five years ago our Ducks won the Stanley Cup with names like Giguere,Niedermayer,Pronger,Marchant,Andy Mac and Samuel Pahlsson remember for their effort in advancing our team to Greatness and Hockey immortality. 4 years prior it was Steve Thomas,Adam Oates, late Ruslan Salei,Jason Krog,Vitaly Vishneski and of course Paul Kariya who left a mark in Ducks History. These names we remember cause they left a memory etch in our Souls and minds. There can be no doubt that new Crop of Ducks and Next Generation will get that chance....Hopefully soon. I believe that with Youth there is Passion, sometimes it must be tempered like a sword to withstand onslaught of doubt, haters and Trolls from other fans who look down our team. Whether or not the Lockout ends I hope it will....for Hope is a belief sometimes amidst the disappointment of truth. However with though that tommorow was suppose to be the Ducks Home Opener let us not give in to disapear and hope the future that is on the east coast can live up to the potentials and IF the Lockout ends expect some of them to be hungry to prove themselves in O.C as we know a team like the Ducks reminds us Life itself has difficulties that task our resolve.......GO DUCKS! My Rant of today...

Not a day goes by when I wonder and think when this Lockout will end. Nothing makes me annoyed let alone angry that when a game is cancelled it's a insult to those who watch the game and those who make the NHL Experience complete. I think of those who work with the Ducks, Power players,Street Team,Front Office,Marketing and ticket departments not to mention the social media who are affected by this. I am sadden by what I hear of fans saying they will "Never watch a NHL Game" Again....Keep in mind boycotting the game will hurt the ones at the team stores and other departments of any NHL Team including our Ducks as well. I cannot fathom nor wonder when will this end.....yet I know it could have been avoided IF both sides put aside their petty politics for the sake of the game. Betteman imho has lost all moral authority and honor to call himself Commisher. He is nothing more then a polorazing figure on both sides of the 49th parallel. We can give up as we wish...Or we go on this non-stop rant with "Anti-American" or "Contraction" Themes saying this city and that does not deserve a NHL Team. It irks me abit when I hear this BS Crap going in my hometown and country.....No matter how you look at it HOCKEY belongs to everyone. Simple as that and no matter where you go Hockey like Judo was destine to be spread everywhere. Sometimes I wonder when will this Lockout end even though I am positive and optimistic It will affect whether I not I go to see the Ducks next year. Hopefully it will be soon till then we must wait. Our Ducks:Influx of Youth with some experince

Not a day or night goes by wondering what Do I talk bout with this Lockout hanging over our heads. Cancelling of first week of Pre-season,let alone it would have been first few games we talk and ask ourselves who makes it and who does not is something that we miss let alone feel out of place right now. Training Camp or "Gathering of the Ducks" should have started yet the Team like many others cannot control their fate at this moment as talks still go on amidst pessimism and uncertainty....News of Sbisa going over to play in Europe did not surprise me then again. We should not be talking bout the "CBA" or who is to blame. Discussion should have been on the Ducks Youth and the influx of them gathering at Training Camp. We Ducks Fans now have to settle with how well they do in Norfolk....sometimes when something happens in Hockey a team or league gains from a work stoppage. Example is Team Canada Junior team at 2005 WHJC. a Team loaded with young Talent we see many have establish their careers including two of our Ducks becoming regulars and Leaders for the Ducks Cause. Right now It appears history maybe repeating itself with the WHJC months away and Admirals ready to drop the puck in 15 days from now. Roster listed at the Ducks Farm team in Norfolk shows the Future and experience in some like Lasch,Hendry,Smaby,Cousineau,Maroon and few others. Plus put in Etem,DSP,Clark,MacMillan and we see a good combination that we may see few seasons and years down the road. As I say We should not take this crop and New Blood that is Ducks Future for granted. They like the ones before and previous seasons prior wear the Ducks D and before that Ducks Duck Mask with Honour and represent our Unique team in general.....a Lineage stretch back to the Expansion team. What see on the roster in Norfolk is glimpse of our Future and the Ducks Rising again once more. Call me a Fool But i am optimist and a passionate Zealot at heart. To me this team has what it can to Rise once more and reclaim the Stanley Cup. Whether or not the Season begins I feel our Ducks will have a edge in the group of youngsters eager to prove themselves to the Ducks Front Office and Ducks Nation as a whole....Who knows We may see them pulling a upset or two IF the NHL Lockout mess is sorted out. NHL Lockout 2012: Unnecessary Crisis

You Can blame the Players, the Owners or the situation we are in. One has to see throughout the summer and the days leading to the expiring of the CBA.Failure of leadership has created this new found mess.....I would never imagine nor though we see a 3rd Lockout in past 20 years. It's a Shame let alone a Tragedy that it has began amidst negotiations that were lacking any sort of progress or active leadership by both parties. Politics of pettiness in playing a big part in this crisis.....It seems likely and to no surprise many players feel embitter by the Salary Cap place on them. Which is why I am not impress. The Narrative we always hear is it "Hurts the Fans"...yet we forget it hurts those who make the NHL Game experience special let alone positive. Who I am talking about that is affected? It's the Ice Crews,Team Store Clerks,Cashiers at concession stands and Zamboni Drivers. It's these people along with NHL Fans are hurting by this lockout most recently Florida and Ottawa has issue layoffs to their workforce which sickens me. It's a stark reminder to all This lockout should have been avoided. Yet we see rhetoric that will add fuel to already starting fire. Each day pass by and each night it seems so surreal let alone something that was.....how would I put it should have been dealt with a long time ago. I can understand what all are going through right now. Frustration, anger and the Why?. Sometimes we try to explain how this all happen. But we know that with each cancellation is a shame not on the players we see but those who at the end of the Lockout be it the Ducks New Blood and those of 29 NHL Teams be stain with the mark of "Greedy" label. What we can do is more then just "Not watching the NHL" any more. We must voice our concerns stand with the teams beyond the Players like Ice Crews,Team Store Clerks and others....they are the life blood of the team as a whole. Express disappointment at the players via twitter and through facebook. Sure we can cling to the facts and express rage as some fans do. But they are entitle to it as many like myself are entitle to express our passion for the team we love. For as far as I am concern Gary Betteman as much as he has done things in the past 20 years in growing the sport imho is NO longer worthy of the title "Commissioner". DuckPride 4ever MooseDuck

Thoughs on the NHL CBA

As you know The Current NHL CBA expires on Sept 15th. Something we mark down and hope it may not end up as a Lockout. For me Personally I am always optimist in regards to anything be the Ducks Quest for a Stanley Cup and exact revenge on those who stand in their way....and My absolute rejection of the notion "Bring the Cup back to Canada" BS. Hearing the words that a Lockout may happen is a cause for a concern for me not only a Ducks Fan but as Hockey fan in general. I am not defeatist....never was never will be. I know some in my community have tendency to talk bout "Greedy" Owners and Players and how they will "never" Watch a NHL Game...of course it's hypocritical since many do watch Canadian Based teams. I do not believe that contraction is the solution to the problem nor this notion that we have to stick 10 teams in Canada to create a Better chance in having Canadian team win the Stanley Cup. I am for is the Salary Cap to be lower at 59-65Million and create revenue sharing for all NHL Teams. Don't get me wrong I want the Ducks to win but a equal playing field is always need to create competition and parity. Look I will get right to the point and say it now.....IF the NHL goes into a Lockout it will hinder any mometuem the NHL in spreading the game to United States. I am for American Hockey I would love to see the sport stand side by side with Baseball,Football maybe who knows Soccer. In this era where Unions are look down upon and Wealth is "Denounced" in the mainstream media IF both sides can work things out then Something can be done. For now Ducks Fans like all NHL Fans and hockey fans await how this situation plays out hope things will work out well. You can disagree But I will never be a Pessimistic....As far as Sports News and Pundits not to mention Canadian Hockey Purists I believe A new CBA can be done. DuckPride 4ever MooseDuck

Ducks Future is now!

Whether one realize it our not our Ducks will choose a path that requires them to develop within. Trusting those who within our ranks and in the system is always essential to success and absolute victory. Before the Ducks begin their quest and before the Gathering*Ducks 19th Training Camp* We must understand and come to know that like previous seasons and years past the Ducks relied on those they drafted....forget bout dreaming who they will sign or hope they spend to the Cap. The Ducks with signings of Souray,Allen,Winnik and Staubitz have bolster their Core...yet one wonders if that is enough for them to do. Despite con stand annoying rumours let alone BS that is "Bobby Ryan Trade Rumours". I can honestly say I believe Bobby Will stay as a Duck come the Gathering it's Vital the Ducks keep him and develop new Blood that is coming to the team. Etem,Holland,Palmieri,Vatanen and a few others. When I think back to the past and struggles we fought each season and year. I think of this team's future and Players who will advance the Cause of our Ducks towards greater Glory and Good. If player's Stats like Etem is not enough for some to convince he belongs to our team and will make a good Training Camp at the Gathering then one is naive at best let alone foolish. 50 Goals is enough for one to know He and some are NHL Ready. Optimism and positiveness along with Passion bout the Ducks have always been the strength I am part of. It is part of me too.....Like many of you who are awaiting the CBA talks to end and perhaps season to begin I am hoping for the best. There are many reasons besides our Ducks influx of youth and new players to look for there is Ducks Legend Teemu Selanne and guys like Perry,Getzlaf and Ryan able to bounce back after a dismal and yet Disappointing season. I can find comfort in seeing how the team will shape up to be let alone they not only be tougher but determine to set things right. We know come Oct the Ducks will RISE AGAIN ONCE MORE!. Ducks Draft Class,Signings and Farewell George Parros

With 2012 Draft over and First Day of Free agency completed with alot of things was on my mind when Ducks announce their selection on June 22nd and July 1st. First off to the Draft class. I was hoping our Ducks addressing the need on the Defence Corps would address the need to get bigger be it on Blueline,Forward positions or maybe Goaltending. I was surprise at who the Ducks Pick never though they would pick Hampus Lindholm since the Ducks have been slated and some have hope Dumba,Trouba and maybe Reinhart would be number Choice....Yet more I read about Him more I like what I hear. Selections of Kerdiles,O'Brien,Megna and Anderson I am very happy with who our Ducks have drafted. If there is one word to describe New Blood of 2012....That is SIZE. For the Ducks to get bigger they address current needs yesterday. For me Signing Allen 6-5 and Souray 6-4 address the need for the Ducks to imho help young guns within the Defence Corps. despite the fact both have sign 3 year deals it's justified in getting some grit and hopefully nastiness that was missing last season. Watching 3 games in March Ducks battling Detroit,LA and Nashville something was missing that being the spark that lead to motivation,Desire and Relentless pursuit. If our Ducks need a mix of Youth, Experience and Leadership that was around five years then signings of Souray and Allen and Stabulitz was Phase 1 of retooling, restructuring and upgrading a team the was young and had some inexperience. In Doing so our Ducks made some choices tough as many have said while justified to others in regards to seeing George Parros leave for the NHL East. Signing with Florida yesterday has left the Ducks with 4 Players remaining from 2007 Stanley Cup Championship team. Much is said bout him when Bruce Almighty took over....some have said Both George and Brooks where no longer used by Bruce since his Style was vastly different then that of Carlyle. Being a Optimist I am never ashame to say I would love the Ducks to re-sign Parros Why you say? it's my respect for not only his skills on the ice but also off the ice as well. His "Parro's Cut for Kids" was something I always respect him for let alone his fan favourite status with Ducks Fans alike. It will be strange and tough not seeing Parros out on the Ducks Ice lining up taking a PK or laying the Hammer down on any of our enemies trying to take liberties on one of our Ducks. I will always remember him as being "Hammer of Anaheim". There is no denying he contributed to the Ducks first Stanley Cup Championship as did Giguere,Pronger,Marchant,Niedermayer,Andy Mac and Sammy Pahlsson. Call it a Business or nature of the game. But things happen for reason especially for the Ducks during this Offseason. I always believe that this summer will be one that is unprecedented due to changes in addressing the flaws. In Honor of Parros we must remember for what he did nothing more Personally I was humble and privlige to get his Autograph 5 years ago Meeting a player belonging to a team you follow all your life was special for me. Another Player I need to speak is Lubo Visnosky. During his stint he was Ducks Best D a years before...became the First Ducks Defencemen to earn a hat trick. Seeing him traded was sad to see him go...Like Parros it was hard to see him go. Whatever Summer holds for the Ducks Let's be positive and look forward to what will be a different team then one Won First Stanley Cup. I believe with signings made Ducks are in I hope start of revitalizing and refocusing our Ducks towards Greatness. DuckPride 4ever MooseDuck

Jun 6th 2007:5 years Later

5 Years.....it's amazing that five years ago many Ducks Fans witness the Ducks achieve a historic Moment. A Victory that is so symbolic we remeber till this day. That night everything changed....The day all Ducks and Ducks Fans changed. Call it coming of age or evolve. Winning The Stanley Cup was special for many Diehards and passionate Ducks Fans no words describe the feeling of seeing the Cup Raised and experining the roar of the crowd at the Ponda. I cannot tell you the feeling I felt watching it on TV in Nova Scotia. Seeing Ducks Fans and talking to those who were there. It was special, important and deeply emotional. Why you ask? it's due to the fact that many since Day1 including myself have endure the haters, naysayers, mocking of the name, insults and of course trolls on the Ducks Message Board. Years of adjusting to predications,Opiniate views and bickering over how the Ducks must improve make one such as myself look at the past.....and yet hope for the future. I remeber that day as it happen, most of you that were there knew it as if time itself was in constant motion. From Teemu Selanne,George Parros and Beauchemin to stalwarts like Giguere,AndyMac,Todd Marchant and Scott Niedermayer. This team had a mix of youth, experince and leadership. Who could not forget the Ducks strong Defence of Pronger,Niedermayer,Beauchemin,O'Donnell,Huskins and Jackman....Oh the New Blood that in Getzlaf,Perry,Penner and likes of Ryan Carter and Drew Miller.Or the Goaltending Tandem that is Giguere-Bryzgalov....It's amazing how far many Ducks Fans I know have come along. When I was at the Ponda I look at the Renovations happening at the Moment when the sky was clear. It was different to see. I felt a sense of Pride looking at it and knowing the People inside be it Fellow Ducks Fans who may or may not agree with my views Or wonder how I was able to be so positive in the face of adversity team endure. The ups and downs and those who try to dissect why the Ducks fall short be it first round exit or failing to earn a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs....It matters not what we think It's how we see things through. Tendency to make a conclusion can differ from each Ducks Fan. Ducks Historic Stanley Cup Victory was the pinnacle of 14 years of battles, struggles and overcoming odds that were in the way of making a impossible dream become not only a reality but all too real. When the clock hit zero and the roar of the crowd fill the air on TV. I screamed "Anaheim Ducks 4ever" ran from room to room and around my house seeing Niedermayer raise the Stanley Cup over his head then pass to his brother Rob,then Chris Pronger,Then Todd Marchant and Teemu Selanne all the way to Giguere,Thorton,Getz,Perry,Penner,Shannon and Joe Dipenta. Sense of Honor,Pride and Glory bestow on the team 5 years ago was special in such a way it's Enteral. We all remeber where we were when "Day of Great Victory" occured ...I was honor and humble to have all the players including the coach to sign my Ducks Home Uni 2months before Ducks won their First Stanley Cup and Made history It meant so much to me since I never gave up on them and People of O.C. The Night changed us all right down to the Mind and Soul.....Expectations are the norm, predications are stated often from time to time. Funny Thing and I admit all those I know have grown and their knowledge has increased since that historic win... Ducks Fans I hear and talk to are optimistic, hopeful, determine and very classy.I started to realize their awareness of this great sport I love, their passionate support, cheering for the Ducks since I arrive in 2007 was exceptional and apprecative. Things change for a reason and Ducks looking forward makes sense for sky's the limit. To Honor our Past our Ducks need to look towards Next Generation those who are Leaders of the team and in the system take up Ducks Cause and move forward. I Beleive Deep in my Heart that Our team will win the 2nd Stanley Cup it's not a matter of HOW but When. Even though that our Enemies are near the point if acheiving their first Let us remeber that Anaheim Ducks were the FIRST California team to make history. Tommorow Let's wear our Colors with Pride,Honor and Deep respect not only for the Ducks but the Players who contributed!. DuckPride 4ever MooseDuck

2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs: My Thoughs

I guess if there is one word to describe this year's Playoffs it's Dirty. You can never guess or expect that with a one team eliminated*thank goodness it's Detroit* and bloodbath between Philly and the Pens erupting as many expecting....For me as a Die Hard Passionate Ducks Fan and Hockey enthusiast I am happy at how things are going. except of course if two series have four of the Ducks Enemies battling each other in first round. Never less I am however not cheering or supporting any team since the Ducks are out of the Playoffs and retooling, refocusing and finding renewal in this summer. Ducks Hockey ended in April but it does not stop me and other Ducks fans in watching some great Hockey...No worries, fears or concerns just imho scouting for potentials Ducks Candidates whom the team can re-sign come July 1st. I have no qualms bout who the team needs. But I am looking at guys like Gaustad,Carle,Paille and maybe few others I think would be nice fit in reinvigorating a the Ducks who has youth but needs experience to balance the team permanently. Anyways in regards to the Playoffs I hold no desire to support any team in the Post-season...Call me old fashion but that is who I am no more no less and nothing can change that. One thing I have in mind is 1. I DO NOT WANT the Stanley Cup back in Canada and 2.Boston will repeat as Champs. You ask why I said number1? I do believe and reject this BS notion that bringing the Cup back the Canada is needed for our country....Since when did Canada become so downright Petty in the sport of Hockey I love?. Oh wait it did not long ago but that is another story....Watching some of the games give me a insight on how important it is to have a balance team and what our Ducks need to create a team based on Strong Defence,Reliable Offense and a goal tending tandem of two good goalies. Strength in Numbers as I call it on the Ducks Message Board and elsewhere. There is nothing wrong with expressing concerns bout the supposed grit shown this year...all in all this playoffs has shown a mix of old school hockey with offense and Battles that went down to the wire. If this sort of things beings to continue to the SCF rest assure 2012 Stanley Cup Finals maybe a mix of skill, talent an extreme Grit. DuckPride 4ever MooseDuck

My Anaheim Ducks Offseason wish list

With the Playoffs on going and at least 7 teams I refuse to root for due to my disdain and hatred. I am going to put up what I feel are necessary needs our Ducks must do in order to never REPEAT slow starts that cause 11-12 to not be forgetable but disapointing...Too many times since 07-08 our Ducks had a unpredictable yet topsy-turvy finish. Sometimes when one Tolerates it enough there is a limit and This is NOW the time our team needs to correct the flaws that were so apprant it was not even funny. List I have is 3 important objectives this team must make in order to re-organize,Rejuvenated and Reload. They are as followed:

1.Scoring Depth:Free agency even though there is not alot to choose from requires the Ducks to look at players who can 1.spread out the offense and 2.Compliment Youth within the ranks of the team for 12-13. Players like Daniel Paille,Cody McLeod is two candiates along with Travis Moen i would like the team to sign. Need is to strengthn Depth and ensure Forwards will motivation. I must also add Paul Gaustad reason is having 6-5 can give the pk some much needed grit.

2.Sign a Defencemen: Now what I mean by that is Ducks need a Defencemen since signing or getting a Top 4 D may involving giving up a player of utmost importance. My two D-men I would love the Ducks to sign would be Brad Stuart and Matt Carle. Signing Ryan Suter will require us to to sign him to perhaps a overpay or it would be godsend he signs form 5mil. However I am confident the Ducks D will be resilince when the Puck drops for 12-13 season.

3.Find Long term AHL Farm team: The one thing that really makes me angry and so pissed off is the fact our Ducks CANNOT a farm team in the long term. As much as I want them to be on the West Coast it looks more and more likely there maybe a chance Ducks may align with Norfolk or some other team. But first things's first It would be BETTER off if some teams in New York or in North East just set up shop beyond the Miss River. If anyone knows what I am talking bout look at the AHL Map on wikipedia. Then you know What I am talking. I hope Ducks have it sort out soon it would suck if Ducks have a repeat of what happen after Iowa Chops Fell apart.

Whatever Happens I hope Ducks can set things right before 12-13 season....One thing I really hope for is the CBA is sorted out asap. God Forbid we go through another Labor strife.

Anaheim Ducks:2011-2012 Season in Review

Sad,Bittersweet and at times hopeful...That is how i feel when the buzzer sound in Calgary and our Ducks loss final game of what is a forgettable yet disappointing season. There were so many factors that played into our team falling short be it Injuries, weak Defense,Coaching changes and reliance on youth lead to Ducks Falling short. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am but at times I feel frustrated our team can better. When I see the Players from forwards to Defense and Goal tending I see a Good team full of Potential. Neither Bad or Worst....yet not Great there comes a time when a Team such as the Ducks must look within and re-evaluate the strategy the put down months ago......All Offense strategy has not Work Why you ask? well when a this team is ranked 24th something needs to improve and be fixed. Another flaw needs to address is lack of veteran experience in the Bottom Six of the Ducks Depth.

When you have two Rookies,One Sophomore,A AHL Minor League comprise of the bottom Six with only two Veterans something is tells you that some players were not ready to embrace duties of the Ducks when the season began. Looking at the Final standings 34-36-12 80pts I do not see a record that reflects our team in 2nd half of 11-12 campaign. Mostly it's a modest records that neither great or worst it seems clearly now and with a deep understanding that If our Ducks are to regain the honor,Success and victories they must endure setbacks....THIS is one of them and as tough as it is the young guns on this team including the newly installed Leaders must understand the way forward is to regroup, retool and RELOAD. By doing this our Ducks face a off season that is unprecedented and very important that Bob Murray Must address basic and important areas that need to improve....following is 3 that i have put down are areas that must turn from weakness back to Strength:

1.Scoring Depth:As I always say "Strength in Numbers" it's way of saying that all players in the Ducks Roster must contribute offensively, defensively and Together Fight as one in holding back our Rivals and enemies opposing players in process. Missing link is veteran experience...A team CANNOT rely too much on the youth who will have nervous anxiety since most will be assuming their duties and adjusting to the style of NHL and system that is Ducks Hockey. I have had high hopes for this team and I always do for the past 19 years and 18 season when the Ducks assemble a edition to battle and compete for the Stanley Cup. Since the Ducks First Stanley Cup Win five years ago I always give each team a benefit of a doubt. To me I if our Ducks seek out veteran experience they must embrace some players via Free agency to help out the Youth of within the ranks. Having someone to calm the rookies and those young guns down would beneficial in balancing out the new blood within the lineup...whether they be Holland,DSP,Palmieri,Bonino and Beleskey one needs to have these players compliment with the likes of say Moen and Gaustad....how the Ducks choose depends on the decision in front of them and tough choices that will be made.

2. Strengthen Defense: Ducks six D-man comprise of the Defence Corps was weaken by a mix of injuries and dependency on Fowler who was at times not ready to lead in several games. It irritates me how Defense has from time and time again gave the Opposition way too many chances easy for those to regain and control the game when Ducks lead. I think of Chicago debacle in November and Ducks relying too much Hiller to bail them out..for example attending Ducks-Detroit game in March I was happy but not impress with the Effort by the Defense. What is needed is a D-man to provide Physical presence. As much As I am patient with some of Defense It would be suitable for the Ducks to Sign Brad Stuart and Dennis Wideman..Signing one of the two may lead to our Ducks trading a Defensemen perhaps Lubo or in one of the Trade Scenarios I have Trade for a Top Four D.

Goal tending situation I am not going to address it since the Ducks have come to verbal agreement with Viktor Fasth. But as Much as I say at times question Hiller and his ability it's very troubling for the Ducks to start Jonas 69 games. It's beneficial and a need for the Ducks to have a reliable Backup....One can ask why Jeff Deslauriers was never used but I think it would be suitable to use him with Ellis out with a injury. Just wondering makes me think it would be better if the Ducks have two goalies...both good and provide a long term benefit to the Ducks. In the Past Ducks had two goalies five years ago it was Giguere-Bryzgalov and before that it was Hebert-Giguere...Better to have two then On imho.

Positives that have been apparent during this tough season....overcome a poor 1s half by surging in Jan and Feb,Teemu visiting Winnipeg and playing at the home opener in Finland.....These positives stuck out for me. Most definitively this season did not feel abit worst yet bad from what I see. I am most certain that next season on 20th anniversary of the Ducks season....They will Rise again for me our Ducks will BE BACK. Nothing motivates players then never repeating the mistakes of the past.....If there is one thing we know is the Ducks will be eager to not repeat the flaws that lead them to fall short of their goals....For now many of us including yours truly will reflect and take a step back...Laying low will be needed for me I can tell you I am going to take some time off but I will discuss the need to improve no more no less.

My Ducks Roadtrip:5 years later part2

I remember as if it was yesterday coming to SoCal...My mind was full of what People in Orange County was like. Sometimes i wonder what they are like? are they like on TV or what i hear from people I met in University or in my Hometown.......I left Nova Scotia wondering curious bout the People and how they perceive the Sport and team I love. I have follow the Ducks most of my life. 14 years from 1993 to 2007 when i made that trip. Flying into LAX meeting my Uncle who wanted meet my dad after he retired....he offer to drive me to O.C while him and My Dad catch up on old times. Setting foot in Ayres Inn looking out across the Ponda it made me giddy and full of joy. Whatever anxious moments and nervousness I had was erased by kindness of one man and his family. They treated me well as a equal and I appreciated their generosity that I still to this day wonder how they are doing. Living in Idaho i am not sure what is like one thing is certain i always in their debt for showing me kindness.

Games I attended now are like a old hat to me...Felt like Home. 5 years ago i was awestruck, Hyperventilating and at times can't stop smiling. Getting the autographs and seeing them live change how i view Players and Other Ducks Fans. I feel those local Ducks fans are blessed and never should take things for granted. i know this since I meet folks like Kyle,Stefanie,Larry and Vicky. Flying to and from John Wayne I always wonder if I can live there...find a place to live, get a job and work for the Ducks. A Dream any Canadian kid has.

My experience in 2007 and for past five year made me appreciated and feel very humble. While i attended the 3 Ducks games I contemplated and though of the future and of many things in regards to the team those nights....I though of the past and the present and of the future. I though of the players who wore the Ducks D and Ducks Duck Mask before....I though players who are waiting in the wing and Ducks Legend who has become one of the team's all time Greats. When a Fan such as Myself looks back and forward he knows what it means to be Dedicated.

Often they need to take it a step back... "Dumb it down" as someone I tolerated told me tonite. Knowing what the future holds I stand by what I say when I want the Ducks to Finish strong. If they finish no higher then 12Th so be it. As for the Draft and Draft Lottery I will be watching it But I know a team that is fiscally Responsible and truly a team that is slowly allowing the New Blood to adjust to their duties will do find. Personally I will take a step back and try to get a true understand of My place in Ducks Nation!.

My Ducks Roadtrip:5 years later part1

Five years....5 years and at times it seem like yesterday I set foot in O.C to see the team I love so dear and follow since 1993. 5 years of tolerating so called "Experts", Predictions and at times expectations.....Five years of enjoying atmosphere, meeting Ducks Fans and talking Hockey. Sometimes I listen and read bout how others see the "Big Picture" or "Little Picture". But often i wonder bout "The Picture" in regards to the Future and Ducks Nation as whole. Everything change since my life changing trip and when i arrive at John Wayne it felt like I never left. I was hope to see the Ducks and look around. Be it the Mission at SJC or Beaches and places in Newport Beach and Laguna Beach.

One thing that never changes is the Ducks....seeing the Ponda getting a upgrade and going through a Reno not to mention this edition of the team going through a Rough Phase I am hopeful for the future.....Watching them beat Detroit was something special cept for the fact they lose to LA and Detroit. I felt mellow and happy and I had opportunity to meet two ladies who i was taken aback by their beauty both mother and daughter Let's call them B and K, I was well speechless what to say to women but i always be respectful especially to those...well never mind back to the topic at hand. It seems clear there are flaws our Ducks need to look at.

One of them is scoring Depth and watching the 3 games There is need to fix the Depth by strengthen it through FA's this off season. Of course the Ducks are developing within in players like Bonino,Palmerei,Beleskey and DSP. I am confident they will provide the depth need for years to come....But we cannot rely on them too much since veteran guidance is a vital need to get our team towards restoring honor and achieving greatness once more.

When one experience change when has look at few things on how not only the Ducks but Ducks Fans evolve...It was not long ago we were scorned by other NHL Fans including Purists on the East Coast and parts of Canada....But many Ducks Fans and knowledge they posses is a plus let alone many have become wiser on the Ducks Path this year and maybe the Next. Most certainty 12-13 is very important due in part it will mark 20 years of Ducks Hockey and the Cause it created among Ducks Fans. It made think bout this team and Fans I met in the past five years....I reflected so much on people from Zaleski Family,Munni,Chris,Big JT,Kyle,Vicky and Brianna and her mother Kim. I will not lie to anyone but going to see the Ducks in 2007 and now 2012 and perhaps following years made me re think everything I knew of the world of Hockey and the Ducks as a whole.

Perhaps it was the kindness and honest approach folks like Ian and Jim have or positives many have in the team and outspoken that i have endure and honor to talking over these years....When you see Orange County you know they are bless with not only the Ducks But Angels Baseball...Jiu Jitsu,Night Life and other areas like Beaches and music. I know My passions get the best of me but flying back at night 10 days ago staying up all night i reflect on many moments I had there....what do I think?. I will let you all know in Part2.

Heading to Anaheim Orange County

Five years......Five Years it seems like yesterday I choose to make a life changing and positive experience trip. Five years of predictions, expert opinions, positive thinking and honest expression of the Ducks. I always wonder whether or not if things change for the better. I think tomorrow when i arrive all i want is wins, absolute victories over 3 of the Ducks enemies this week. Sometimes I wonder whether If many in Ducks Nation forgot the past....A Past of struggles,Battles and proving ourselves time and time again. Before our First Stanley Cup Victory*Day of Great Victory*. Sometimes for me and other Ducks Fans who follow this team since Day 1 gotta look a the Picture. Not the Big Picture or Little picture.....But a Path this team is taking sometimes requires bumps in the road.

This season has shown it to be one of those bumps.Injuries,Inconsistencies,Coaching Change and Setbacks. I always wonder whether 11-12 Ducks can repeat the resilience they showed last year. But never would i expect them to fall short....That's right I said Fall shore not Defeat. One thing that makes this different when I arrive is Ducks are going guns ablazing fighting to the bitter end and not letting things get in their way.But one thing I will do is enjoy my stay and look at the sights and sounds of perhaps happiest place in earth and a place so sports diversity.

as you will read my words I know in my heart, soul this team will fight to the bitter end...Whatever happens, happens for reason. Playoffs or no Playoffs. We should all stand with this team. IF you are in Orange County California,USA,Canada,Finland,Sweden or elsewhere most important moment is standing with your team. I know things have not turn out well But our Ducks will not only BE BACK next season....But will Arise again!.

Ducks need to finish strong!

Whatever happens from here till the end of the season....Our Ducks will emerge stronger. Need is for our Ducks now whether or not they earn a spot in the playoffs or not remains to be seen. However I am very confident Ducks can do this for it's in their hands be it this week or next when I see them live. This season has NOT been what we all expected from our Ducks for 11-12. I cannot tell you feelings of disappointed I have but battles this team face reminds me of the past this team face in prior seasons and years before. Injuries to key players and coaching change has shown a flaw within the Ducks that MUST be corrected in the off season. As someone who has follow this team and recorded history in a personal Ducks Book........One or 2 seasons of supposed "Slow starts" is tolerated but FIVE right now is truly a concern I have right now looking at the Ducks Hockey in 12-13.

All Offense No Defense mindset this team has shown at times did not work. Rank 23rd in Goals per game.....17th in Goals against and PK. I am trouble by this for many months. It goes without showing the Ducks need to restore,Re-vitalize and REFORM. 2007 Ducks our FIRST Stanley Cup Championship Team is OUR Gold Standard NOT Detroit or Chicago. Our Ducks need to focus on signing some D and restore system that brought our team it's First Stanley Cup....Youth, Experience and Leadership were key to the Ducks success five years ago.

It will be again I am hoping when Season concludes and Playoffs starts Ducks need to look at some Defence men who could help plus adding more new blood to help development of Fowler,Sbisa and hopefully Etem can go a long way in making the transition smooth and not rough. Following is five players I hope Ducks will pursue these five are my own choice and I think it would be wise for this team to look at signing these five or 3.

1.Ryan Suter
2.Matt Carle
3.Brad Stuart
4.Carlo Colaiacovo
5.Brad Boyes

I believe It's necessary right now for the Ducks to use what they have and not give up...Ducks Fans within Ducks Nation should not assume the worst but see this season through no matter what Happens. If the Ducks Make it then They need to make a statement when they are in the post-season...IF NOT So Be it!.

Ducks Final 20 games and Trade Deadline!

One can see as I do that month of march will be critical for this team to decide it's fate. No matter how we look at it our Ducks MUST not Give Up on themselves and each other. 26-25-10 62pts 4 to 6pts back of final playoff spot whatever happens here or in late March happens for a reason. Our Ducks are going through tough phase of the transition to the next generation who will take up the mental of the Ducks Cause. Will They succeed in my heart I KNOW and all Ducks Fans do this team can make it....For their fate is in their hands to hit the ground running and NOT look back. The One thing makes me is fact it feels like deja vu all over again. Last Year I was humble to fly to Orange County to see the Ducks win 2 out of 3 games. in 2 games that I saw they fought with relentless fury and determination to win in OT.

Difference now is prior to the Trade Deadline talk of Bobby Ryan Trade,Teemu Selanne Trade and others was unthinkable....at times made me think. I often ask WHAT do we get in return IF the Ducks do the unthinkable?. Why i say that is the fact the Ducks Big 3 aka RPG is vital to continuing the legacy of success Ducks have tasted and earned. Sometimes I wonder if the divide between Passionate Ducks Fans and others who call themselves experts were created due to the chaotic first months of 2011-2012 season. However I am no longer concern with this now.....IF Ducks can pull off a miracle by laying it all on the line from here till the end when I see them. I am confident they can Bring it to any team in March.

Then of course there is trade deadline. I have heard the rumors some of the far-fetch others extremely insulting. To me What needs to be done right now is the Ducks Stand Pat and NOT disrupt chemistry they to focus on getting to the Playoffs and there do whatever it takes to GO DEEP. This edition of our Ducks is flawed in the fact All Offense and No Defence mentality is our teams Achilles heel....Weakness as one say. It's true Ducks Defence has been questionable but we forget those like Fowler and Sbisa are young...Learning the Ways of Ducks Hockey that they will one day assume duties of leadership in the future. Will trade deadline help?....Not sure but it comes to a point when you ask veteran players needs to help them Beauchemin was brought over last year to add in the development of the Ducks Youth in Defence Corps. Is it possible for the Ducks to trade again?...I say know. Best they focus on Free agent frenzy then make a panic move...Trade smart and spend wisely. For all that matters I would nothing like then our Ducks to FIGHT TO THE END and give it their all for the Ducks Cause.

Ducks Gutcheck time

Every game is a Must Win for the Ducks! be it now or final game in April our Ducks have to do what is necessary to get the job done in earning a spot in the NHL West. Playoffs is 9 pts away. Can the Ducks do it I beleive they can....Let alone with the flaws they have at Defence Corps and times in Goal. Questions are raised but we know that if our Ducks are to make it then Collective Will is needed to get them towards the objective at hand.

Unfortunaly those who beleive other wise try to use crappy reason to explain why this team is not fairing well. Injuries, too much emphasis on some of the Ducks youth in bottom six is perhaps why Ducks did not do well as we expect them to be. Yet we can't dwell on something that has happen at the begining....What Happens happens for a reason. But we know in order to fix the flaw Ducks need to make some important choices. Must notably how to fix the Defence amidst struggles of Fowler,Sbisa and Sometimes missing key players within Blueline. Those who do not show any faith in the Ducks are "Experts" and "Know-it-All jackassess". To say the Ducks should trade Selanne,Getz or Ryan is a the Most ABSURD,Stupid and foolish plan ever. I rather keep this team intact and NOT let fear creep in.

Sadly those on the Ducks Message Board do not share this. I have seen how rudness of those who feel superior tends to be the most arrogant Pricks. Makes me wonder how the REAL Ducks Fans are but they are liars no more who see Doom and Gloom. Call me Stupid or foolish but I always feel this team against the odds they face Must make most of what they have in the coming weeks. Ducks at the Trade Deadline will have two choices...1. Win most of their games at the Roadtrip and make a minor trade in tweaking the Defence Corps or 2.Stand Pat and not blow up this team....Sadly those on the Message Board don't beleive that and are Full of themselves.

But I know in my heart as you all the Ducks gotta give it their all and Fight to the Bitter end. I know this season has not been what we want But it's important to support them no matter what. Oh one last thing i need to say "Fail for Nail" Slogan it is a Utterly BS!.

NEVER GIVE UP on the Ducks or yourself!

If many of us felt abit of deja vu from time to time each year our Ducks are in a situation not only familiar at times but unfamiliar in the position they are at. Having 2 wins in Nov before that Ducks starting with a 4-1 after games, then a coaching change makes things uncertain yet unpredictable in the coming weeks. As of now What we expected from the Ducks was NOT or something we saw in not only roller coaster but a chaotic season marked by whether or not Ducks tanking a season would be beneficial in getting the top 5 pick in this year's NHL Draft held in Pittsburgh. You know this "Fail for Nail" Slogan is nothing more then absolute BS to me. What is the point in using something to justified downfall of 11-12 season.....Sure Ducks are 8pts out but i rather see then Fight for a SPOT in the Stanley Cup Playoffs then let "Experts assume the worst. Let's be honest bout our Ducks situation.

8pts out of a Playoff spot, 29 games to go doe you Believe?....DO YOU believe in the Ducks and yourself?. Do you believe this team can do it?. I say YES since History that's right HISTORY within our Ducks for the past 19 years in 8 Stanley Cup Playoffs Berths 7 count them SEVEN have been when our team was struggling in the being and turn things around. Case we know is This edition of the Ducks is All Offense No Defence....Sadly they are flawed which we see in the past games from time to time. Suffice to say Consistency is lacking in effort or Depth in the bottom six...Strength in Numbers i have said is necessary and Ducks having alot of talent in the System they need to make something to balance youth with Experience.

So what do we do in the face of a disadvantage. We Do not give up on the Ducks for like life when WE the People be it USA,Finland,Canada,Sweden,Hong Kong and elsewhere face challenges we move forward and not look back. It's one thing to say "All is lost" and expect the worst but it's best We along with the Ducks believe in themselves. Most of the players are young and they are finding their groove. This 8 game winning streak will be a important test for the Ducks and Ducks Cause. One thing that is worst then a Ducks Loss is giving up on a season or Battles that lay ahead. I believe in my hear our Ducks can do it...They can make it to the Playoffs, rather have them battle with Honor and Pride for it then accept defeat!.

Anaheim Ducks Message Board:My Thoughs

10 Years......10 years I have been on Ducks Main Forum. 10 years of Upgrades, change and rise of so called "Experts within Ducks Fanbase. Everything change so good so very bad. It's no wonder that after all these years being banned from making new Posts based on the "Motivational Speech" BS i still linger sometimes i wonder if those "Experts" have so much power and the admin control words of what people like myself have said. It's a sad state of affairs sometimes it has SUCKED the life, passion and fun out of a great place to meet other Ducks Fans. I have been around as long as any have been on that Forum. I have no intentions of being pushed out the door as some have done to my friends and let rudeness display against my words for what it is.....The Main Forum is NOT what it once was. That is a unhappy fact. Something i must live with as others should do.

However being Banned from making Posts and being insinuated that I am a drunk is lowest form of insult by a pair of know it all Gutter-snipes who DO NOT respect others views on the Ducks. I love going there and discussing and talking bout the Ducks...But it seems clearly those PTB:Powers that Be want to impress outsiders more after Ducks won their First Stanley Cup. I admit I am over-passion bout this team and it's part of my life like Hockey itself. Suffice to say I do not let people like those who have a "Holier art Thou" outlook bug me. It;'s no wonder why a friend of mine was harass and it's no wonder who so many of my friends where harass by them.

Are they Ducks Fans you ask?...Yes but the represent part of a Fanbase who assume they know too much. Just because one does not know the rules but love the sport does not mean they are "Not knowledgeable"...It goes without saying all hockey fans including Ducksfans are different in how they see the sport and use terms to express their pride in Ducks and the Ducks Cause.

Thinking Positive is great and speaking with Common Sense is needed. Ducks Fans should agree to disagree not belittle each other as it's done now. Whatever Happens this season should not be look at a failure by all Ducks Fans....Trial by fire for the Youth is perhaps the best way. But to the "Experts" It won't surprise me if they dissect and try their "best" to speak what is the true outlook of what happen in 11-12. For me I remain but I will not BACK DOWN from these Condescending jackasses.

State of the Ducks Address

If there is One word to describe our Ducks 11-12 season it's this.....Unpredictable. I would not lie when I say and I know some would agree that we never expect the Ducks to have a 4-1 record after five games. Then earn 2 wins in November let alone struggle much in Dec till New Year's Day. No one within Ducks Nation and those who are Ducks fans would expect injuries to hinder our team that lead to questions of Trades,Coaching Change and YES division and where our team go from here. Yet we forget that one of the traits this team has is Resilience to overcome adversity....Against the odds our Ducks face and coaching change what it comes down to is courage, unity and Collective Will in all players to rely on each other in difficulties that lay ahead. What we see is a team that has endure, withstand and dealt with injuries, inconsistency and lack of depth that has plague our team in first 3 and a half months. Collective Will at times was never there..Since our team is going through the motions.

Changes,Transition and other words have thrown around in how to improve our Ducks and overcome the hurdle that is 11pts out of 8th spot. It's no wonder that with all uncertainty and questions what is next best course of action for the Ducks....Coaching change was imho part 1 of a two part problem but it seems to be removed now with the team being 8-1-1 earning 17pts and closing the distance slowly before Allstar break began. As you all know my views will never change in regards to this team pursing a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. I am a Optimist and i feel like life Ducks must battle to over come the Odds stack against them.

It's vital they do with all Ducks Fans giving them 110%. Yes I am not from Orange County but i see a brighter future in regards to one of the most Successful Hockey Teams in California and of 1990's Expansion era. Ducks History as we know is unique and expectational.....It makes me SICK there are those from Ducks Message Board,Twitter and at times facebook who have a defeatist attitude towards our team. I do not question their loyalty. But I Question their Negative outlook....Sure it's great to talk bout "Fail for Nail" It's utterly stupid to bring out the need to "TANK" a season for a player. I rather they fight for a spot then fail or lose...It goes without showing that some Ducks Fans those "Experts" on Ducks Message Board and beyond have lost their way.

Since Stanley Cup Championship Victory 5 years ago...I have seen a change of attitude. Gone are the days of disagreement now there is Condescension,self-proclaimed know it alls belittle of each other's knowledge. Those who do this laugh and mock others including myself view on how this team should proceed in the coming games this season. Sadly it has been going on as long as i remember. Passion,Fun and unity at times has been sucked out thanks to individuals who have clammed down and try to control what people say with words. Does this reflect any Ducks Fans in O.C and elsewhere....NO. There are Ducks fans on Twitter,Facebook and other Message Boards. Who express their passion for the team and the game itself. I do however remain for reasons i will let you all know next blog. For now I am confident our Ducks can make it to the Playoffs or they can fight with Honor,Pride and Courage.

I Believe in the Anaheim Ducks

If We know our History of the Ducks and their battles of proving haters and naysayers wrong we know that in 8 Stanley Cup Playoff Appearances 7 out of the 8 times They earn a spot is when our Ducks were resilient and plow through towards clinching a Playoff berth each season. For me it seems likely and i hope the Ducks begin a tear to start their push for the post-season. I believe they can pull it off and rise for the challenge that is presented for them. Seeing the Ducks and hearing they have awaken from the slump they were in makes me confident and hope they can continue their push tonite and next two months before I arrive to see them in Orange County.

Can the Ducks make it to the post season?...I believe they can But it's in their hands right now with all that has happen from Coaching change to the inexperience of some of the players be it our Ducks sophomores or rookies. Injuries, inconsistency and coaching change. These adversities our Ducks face will unite them in determination and "Dedication" for Ducks Cause. Whether they make the playoffs or not as i always say remains to be seen. One thing that is needed to address is trade Talks. I have heard rumors...seen the proposed Trade Scenarios. Tolerate the BS talk from "Experts" on Ducks Message board and elsewhere. Not to mention the out of touch delusional talk from Leafs fans on some chat rooms and message boards.

Let me say this opening and get it off my chest. I DO NOT BELIEVE the Ducks will trade Ryan,Getz,Perry or Teemu...Saku who knows since both He and Teemu are untouchable. It bugs me yet i look at some of scenarios some seem right others are just stupid. Yet one factor that needs to be look at and that is age. IF the Ducks are to trade say Getz then someone equal should be sent in return. I would not mind Ducks get a Big D-man from the states be it Myers or Miller a goaltender. It would makes sense this edition of the Ducks for 2012 is all offense and NO Defense this season. If there are some players i like the Ducks to trade it would be Lubo for Stuart and Beauchemin or Brookbank for Draft picks

Next weeks and months will determine what our Ducks path will be Playoffs or no Playoffs whether or not they succeed remains to be seen. One thing I ask for the Ducks is finish strong and Ducks fans in Orange County support this team 110%. They may experience this funk in early part of the season but do not be surprise by their resilience. Ducks Nation is split down the middle some want a top ten Draft Pick others want Ducks to succeed as I do. One thing i hope many and All Ducks fans will never do is NEVER EVER let anyone outside of Orange County or elsewhere Define you as you are. Ducksfans,Angel fans and hell Bolts fans or Jiu jitsu fans. OC is a sports diverse area...I am proud to say it and respect the people in Orange County for their love of Hockey and sports.

Whatever happens...happens for reason for the Ducks we should not give up on them neither should the team. Sometimes going through a rough patch is a learning experience for those who will inherit the role of leadership. It builds character for our Ducks no matter what will Prevail and I hope when i arrive in Orange County in March will be in the thick of the Post season.

Ducks at halfway mark:14-22-7 35pts

Looking at the record after the Ducks win last nite. It makes me wonder what must be done for this team to get back to the top, after enduring a chaotic November.....Questions surrounding who will get traded right there to whether or not our Ducks may or may not get the first pick in 2012 Draft. one thing that is always a reminder for our team and Ducks fans as a whole. 2nd half of 11-12 season comes down to 3 things...Resilience,Never Giving up and Collective Will. Ducks History has shown since Day 1 of our Team's founding. If one can go back to the past and see that in the 8 Stanley Cup Playoff berths our Ducks have clinched. 7 count them SEVEN of them have been Teams under the Ducks Banner earn a spot in the Playoffs by overcoming all odds against them. Be it 1997,2003 or last year in 2010. History has shown the Ducks when against all odds can overcome then if the Will is collectively there when 23 players are Ont he same page and determine to prove the Doubters, haters and naysayers wrong.

Rest assure the win against Edmonton,Dallas,Columbus and NYI was not only sweet but a boost in the Morale of the Ducks and Ducks Nation as we continue the path towards finishing this season strong and hopefully with a Spot in Postseason. One thing that needs to be look at is the flaws that is so apparently within our Ducks ranks. Lack of depth or what i call "Depth strength" has been very troubling since bottom six has not been consistent over the past 41 games....What's more concerning is Top Line's inconstancy to take the lead and hit the ground running each game. Call it being "Top Heavy" but I see things that lead our team down this tough road and record they have shows not only inconsistency but injuries and sometimes inexperience has lead the Ducks to lose games THEY were suppose to win...Sadly it showed in the results.

But Let say this with a clear mind even though the Ducks are at 14th place with 35pts and with 39 games left I believe the Ducks can make it to the Playoffs....We should believe and support this team no matter what. For me it's best they Fight to the bitter end to earn that spot and try then "TANK" 11-12 season as some of the fools on the Ducks Message Board has suggested. Is this team the Worst you ask?...My answer is a resounding NO.

I see this edition of the Ducks as nothing more then a team of potential and talent. A team with alot of youth and some experience that is going through the motions, learning the duties that one day they will assume.....I do not believe the Ducks will trade any of the RPG in the 2nd half of 11-2. It will not only be devastated but a blow to the morale and betrayal of the Ducks Cause in General. IF our Ducks do make a trade it will be for either Lubo or Frankie to ensure transition/youth Movement started in 08-09 is a smooth finish. For now with 3 months left till 11-12 season ends I rather have the Ducks do whatever it takes to win and Show the Hockey World they have some FIGHT IN them!.

hockey is for Everyone!

Hello to all who is reading my Blogs and my thoughts...Hope you all enjoy the New Year's Holiday and the recent Ducks Win against lowly Long Island Team near New York. 11-22-6 maybe not what we want from the Ducks..I am sure they do not themselves. But first thing's first. I think with all that happen in Hockey in the past year or so i felt it was necessary to draw a resolution for what i want to do in 2012...One of them is writing this post down. I believe in my heart that Hockey is for Everyone, I reject the notion that is Hockey is "Canada's Game" Sure Hockey is born in Canada and has provide excellent and respect players from Mario to Patrick Roy and Great One...But I feel that in our changing times it's best to celebrate success and Pride in seeing Hockey enjoy by those beyond the Border of my Nation. You know my allegiance and Loyalty to the Ducks...some of you know that my Passion for this team borders on Zeal. After Ducks won their First Stanley Cup...I took it upon myself to follow Nation Jr,Nation teams and even a Finnish team in Finland to see what similarities they have...I came to a conclusion that All People,Canadian,American,Finnish,Swede even in Hong Kong love this sport and follow teams that inspire and have a everlasting imprint on them for rest of their lives. 2012 will mark 6th time and in five years I will be going to see the Ducks.

Five years is long but it change me in a different way. Knowing people who love the sport and appreciated it as much as I do make me see the world differently especially for Americans who love this great team sport. Looking at the way people down south and talking to those in Finland and Sweden makes me proud to be Canadian...I believe in my heart that Canadians should look at seeing how the world enjoy the game we created and pass to the other Nations. Having the sport be exclusive and not inclusive as many of my fellow Canadians see with this "Bring the Cup back to Canada" Mentality is BS and absurd. Due in part that Canada has it's citizens playing and living in the United States to Promote the sport.

So what if Americans and other nations do not follow the game as my country do so passionately. Sometimes i wonder if the arrogance and obnoxious of my citizens of cloud the judgement of many...Let alone talk down to those especially American Hockey fans in general. It's sad and at times it's a reality that i grew up and knowledge a long time ago.....I always will remain true to the Ducks and Ducks Cause don't ask me to follow any of the NHL Canadian Teams I hate them all especially some fans...Only Canadian teams I will follow is in the AHL be it Toronto Marlies or CHL teams like Ottawa 67's or SeaDogs and Mooseheads.

We as I mean those within Canada should see the sport of Hockey is exclusive....they should see it played and won by cities in USA,Europe elsewhere as result of my spread of Joy and a gift to the world. You ask why do I not know follow this stereotypes of my fellow citizens. It's because i am reminded that not all sports should exclusive and that we as Canadians must be proud to see how our Sport has develop and grow beyond our borders. For me that is what being a Canadian is about Hockey being played in United States,Finland and elsewhere...Following are the teams that I have decided to root, support and stand with:

1.Anaheim Ducks:As always through thick and thin good or bad I will support the Ducks 110%.
2.Finnish World Hockey team:2011 World Hockey Champions love the talent on the team hope they repeat.
3.Everett Silvertips:Successful American Junior franchise like what i see even though they are in a slump.
4.American Junior Hockey team:Won WJC gold in 2004 and 2010 have a great future and a program that produce alot of good players.
5.Toronto Marlies:Hate the Leafs but i admit i tolerate their farm teams especially when it was based in St John's.

No Matter if you agree or disagree with my view I am always Anaheim Ducks fans and a Hockey Nut in regards to this great sport. What i denounce is this Anti-American BS that some spew in my country...If they don't respect what Finns,Swedes or Americans have done they are narrow minded Fools.
